Great video. Just a few words of wisdom. When I grab the center gate up top to get cattle to go into the nose or to gate cattle in the centers, I put my body against the gate. If by chance they kick the gate it keeps the gate from hitting you. Learned from experience. Lol.

With hauling any livestock ...you have to slow down to stops gradually. They aren't like humans...they stress out really easy. They shit alot when they're nervous. All animals do. Only considerate, and caring people should be allowed to haul animals in my opinion. Gotta drive with their welfare in mind. Especially since all the cattle are crowded in those trailers together with nothing separating them.

Look into Magnum front bumpers. I had one on my 2010 Pete and loved it so I put one on my new truck. Has quick release slam latch. Just lift it up. Latches automatically. Put tow hook back in. Got blown over in wind storm while parked and empty with pot. Took the whole weight of the truck sense the bumper is wider than the truck. Put a scratch on the end of the tube. But it didn’t bend. Ended up putting the bumper back on after they fixed the rest of the truck. Lol.

Our fats get woke up at 3:30 am. Then cowboys run them down the alley to loadout pens. By the time they hit the chute they are agitated and hungry. They average 1350-1500 lbs each and sometimes my gross is over 80,000.

Never gate fat cattle......... or anything over 1400 pounds. And if you're going to film loading the belly from inside the trailer, the best and safest place to be is standing on top of your swing gate in the corner, with one foot in the side of the trailer and the other on top of the gate (foot facing outward). That way you have the perfect camera angle, you can clearly see them coming unto the trailer, and if the ones in the belly start trying to come out, just swing the gate close with your foot on top of the gate. That's how I load bison,. And your safe, they can't get to you on top of that gate. And fyi, if your doghouse has enough room to climb over the side, you can actually be in the trailer while loading the top, safe inside the doghouse. If you can't get out, you definitely don't want to be inside the trailer. Btw, is this an old upload? I thought you were pulling refers now?🤔

Just found your channel lol I was on IG and there's a Canadian guy who drives a Merritt goldline/peterbilt 389 and I wanted to see how cattle were loaded into the trailer...wanted to ask - obviously we can see that's blood don't worry I'm not a crazy vegan PETA person lol but do the trailers ever get hosed down real good? Cause I could imagine if STD's and diseases are spread thru our blood...there can be diseases spread to other cows/steers/other livestock. Or how long between runs do you hose down the trailer? Another question, I guess I already know the answer to lol does the whistling really work well? Does everyone whistle to round them up? Dumb questions I know lol ... and how often do you have to use the tool to shock them or whatever when they are being dangerous?

It all depends on what you’re hauling. For me it was dairy calves and then cows on the way back. You’d have to wash out the trailer at the end of every round and every other round you would scrub or power wash the side walls. You wouldn’t have to do that as much if you’re hauling fats
