Loading a Boat onto Your Car Single Handedly

This is a video of a simple tool you can use to single handedly roof rack a boat onto you vehicle. This is a very easy and inexpensive way to get your boat on and off your car so you can get to the lake. At its simplest, all you need to do this is two prices of rope and a way to tie them to the boat's transom and to your roof rack.

@@lourossi7576 the roof rack is standard equipment on my van with a few boards added to make it wider. The system is just two ropes you can get anywhere. It is really a method not a thing you buy.

I have 12 ft aluminum row boat and an SUV. Think this will work for me? Boat is about 200lbs

No it worked fine without issue while I had them. I no longer have that boat or the van. I now have a kayak and a pick up so I don't have to use the ropes.

@@mccwiseley8085 ! wow you think this method could be up scaled for a boat weighing 62kg? I'm thinking of buying a 136 1b boat and want to roof rack it sometimes on my own rather than buy a trailer
you need a pipe or two more for the back of your vehicle, or you're gonna scrape it all up, otherwise well done

I loaded and off loaded it many times and scratching the van was never a problem. The main concern for that is you have to make contact with the roof rack before shoving it on/off.
