    Your front foot probably is too far back on the board, making it too hard to lift the board up popping the tail.

    Drop deck? Or Drop Thru? Drop through is a bit easier to ollie since the kicktails are closer to the ground. the landing part is what can be tricky though, avoiding stepping onto the wheels can take some practice. Drop deck might be bit harder to ollie, especially since when you kick the front drop, the board tends to lunge away from you. Mirco drop will be a lot easier though!

    They're evolving!!! No but seriously, skaters use to bash on longboards not being able to ollie, this is a step in the right direction, hopefully longboard ollies will be able to clear curbs with more clearance, the amount of space under your board every time you ollie up a curb is sketchy as hell, if i tried, my back truck would probably catch on the curb and I would face plant.

  • @gwilendiel

    @gwilendiel

    If you're worried about it and don't want to early grab (which is also admittedly sketchy) you could maybe go with doing a boneless instead.

    Everyone has a different preference to what type of riding they like the most. Whether it be a bike, a skateboard, a longboard, or even skates. The way I see it we all have something in common, we're all doing something we love to do no matter what anyone tells us. So just because we may not ride the same type of equipment, doesn't mean one is better than the other. Respect all types of skaters, and enjoy the fact you can even ride. Quit hating on everyone else, and realize we're all bros.

    The "Loaded Fat Tail" is the one at 1:56, the other, "Loaded Tan Tien" is the one at 2:30. If you're gonna try downhill or freeriding I suggest a Landyatchz board, if you want to carve and do some freestyle, I'll tell you for a Loaded. A really polivalent board is the Apex 40 from Original Skateboards

    It is possible to ollie on any board as long as it has some sort of a tail. Pintails included. Longboards are just more difficult because of the weight and size. It really doesnt have much to do with the tail size or shape, as proven by Dane in this video.

    I skate street, I love bowl and I froth on bombing hills fast with a longboard. I have traveled the world over the past 6 years, skating all sorts of terrain on all sorts of boards, surfaces and with all sorts of rad skaters )some of whom have been skating since before you or I were born). If you all put more time into going outside and shredding wheels with rad people anywhere and anytime you want, you would probably be a lot less grumpy and much better skaters too. Skate everything or die.
