Absolutely continue the conversation. I did the Tac games in Meridian this Feb. I wasn't in Mil/ LE or anything. Just a regular dude that is probably a little old but it was super fun and signing up for the games motivated me to start working out again. If more things like the tac games were available to more people more guys and gals would get into shooting. Dynamic shooting is fun shooting. I'm sorry your event may not happen.

Mag pouches are nice but the ability to carry a couple gallons of milk would be more handy on a day to day basis.

As far as the mesh/padding goes how does it compare to the original slickster? I'm in the market for a new carrier for mainly working out and doing drills and haven't been able to find anyone show/comment on what the actual materials look and feel like

It definitely FEELS a bit more cushiony to me, but I also got my original Slickster second hand so that might be playing into it. I've been using this a ton for workout circuits and have no real comfort issues to speak of. I've also got plate backers in there as well.
