I’m a 64 year old white male grew up in Los Angeles, I was a teenager when Sanford and Son came out and it was my favorite show. Like everybody at that time You laughed with Fred G.Sanford. It was a comedy show if you didn’t like it don’t watch it. I didn’t get offended when police officer Smitty, Partners were white and goofy. It was funny I laughed with them and at them. Another great show was “Chico and the Man”

Made it to the end! My face hurts too! Nothing like a good laugh from my younger days. This is why I miss the old days. Nobody was offended. It was all in fun and everybody knew it. 💕

“Aunt Esther” was in the movie “Friday” by Ice Cube. She was going to his house to witness and then ended up dropping the f bomb. It was hilarious if you knew her from this show

When I was in highschool all my friends would come over after school and watch Sanford and Son reruns. He was so hilarious. Miss those days.

The 70s sitcoms we're treasures. Breaking all boundaries. Respect to Norman Lear and all others who depicted life.

Not many American households missed watching Sanford & Son each week. I know I watched it every week because it was just too funny to miss.

Oh goodness! The Aunt Esther/ Fred interactions were the best! Wanda Paige was one of few actors who could go toe-to-toe with Redd Foxx and not be intimidated or overshadowed!

Fred and Esther performed together in the 50s. Their timing and ability to stay in character was nothing shy of a miracle.

Aunt Esther and Fred were the best. In real life they were great friends.

Fred got into it with Rollo often too. Comedy Gold!

Sanford and Son played a big part in my childhood my daddy and papa loved it❤

I remember watching this while growing up. It was a great show. I wish they would bring shows like this back!

Aunt Esther was always my favorite. I loved this show!

Aww man! I grew up with this. So funny. We would sit down as a family and watch Sandford & Son and laugh our butts off. It was always special to see Esther.

Redd Foxx is a legend! This is one of greatest shows ever! And fun fact - Redd Foxx's real name was John Sanford.

Oh man this show & so many more. The Jeffersons, Laverne & Shirley, three's company, Alice& Mork & Mindy... those were good shows . Still on TV for most part. Also married with children & two and a half men

One of the best damn shows of the 70s n the undisputed king of raunchy comedy still watch the show n still listen to the comedy albums. Nice choice Mr.Adogg..Excellent taste.

Sanford and Son was my favorite show then and now. I have DVD's of entire seasons. Redd Foxx was so talented. When Lawanda Page and Redd Foxx did a scene together, it was epic. The show is a true classic.

there were so many killer shows back in the 70's. they had to rely on good scripts, great actors, and great chemistry.

We never missed an episode. Always funny. But the funniest line I ever heard was when Fred was being his usual horrible self to poor ol’ Ester and he told her that she was so ugly that she could stick her face down in dough and make gorilla cookies. Don’t think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. lol

"Sanford & Son" is such an iconic show. Red Foxx was wonderful in his portrayal of "Fred Sanford." (By the way, Red Foxx is a stage name and Sanford is his actually last name.) I don't even think you could do this show today because people get offended so easily.

Sanford and Son and Good Times are two of my favorite shows from the 70s. My wife and attended a Redd Foxx concert in Chicago in the 70s.

Part 2 please. I was 14 when this show came out and it was must watch TV. All In The Family came out in 71 when I was 13. Both were must watch TV every week. Check out All In The Family also. Archie Bunker, like Fred G. Sanford were both brutal. I remember watching these shows with my parents and them laughing and laughing. My father's face would turn red with laughter. Great fond memories for me from a slower, simpler time when people of all races got that it was comedy and we all laughed. Unlike today where everything is you can't say that because it's offensive or my feelings are hurt. Congratulations America, we are now a nation of over sensitive pussies ! ☮️✌️💕👌

My favorite line by Aunt Ester was WATCH IT SUCKA 😂😂😂😂😂 and Fred's many many the G stands for, whatever was required for the skit. Esther and Fred were friends and both did stand up comedy before this show. He suggested her for this role.

Loved this show. I still watch the reruns today. Redd Foxx and LaWanda Page had been friends since childhood, and she was his first and only choice to play Esther.

Sandford and Son was one of my favorite tv shows when I was young. I never missed an episode. We had the best shows when I was growing up. Did you know, Redd named his character Fred G. Sanford, after his brother, who died at the age of forty-six? 💖💖

Sanford and Son started out as Steptoe and Son,I believe. A British comedy about the same as Sanford, a junk dealer and his son. It never caught on in the UK. I've always enjoyed Sanford and Son. Good, light hearted comedy,when people were normal.

You have to start watching full Dean Martin roasts. LaWanda Page was a frequent dais guest, and she was so beautiful and so cool. When I was a kid I thought she was just this goofy old lady. She played it well.

Note, I didn’t know what a racist was until It was shown, to me, if your an a$$ in general I don’t care what color you are. It’s not a thing in my heart. Act a fool no matter what color you are you’ll see what’s what.

I remember his first album in the 70s my grandfather bought it it was a big 78 it's a the album was red it was Redman and had him on there you know he's a comedian and man he was busting up on that album man he was funny

My favorite Sanford and Son was when LaMont had to go to Court and Fred was his legal representative 😂
