I am thankful that the narration has been summrized beautifully along with contribution whchare pictucurird
Brasília was designed by the architect Lúcio Costa, while Niemeyer designed the buildings. It's important to make this observation, as long this video is focused on the urban planning.

Both Costa and Niemeyer were disciples of Le Corbusier and after seeing the plans for the Algiers capital I noticed how much he influenced Niemeyer (v. Copan Building, São Paulo)
Beautifully summarized. Adding specific influence of the east on Franck Lloyd Wright would have added more to this beautiful summary.
bonjout existe t il une version en français svp ?
All well accomplished artists and architects.. yet somehow none of them knew a single thing about what real humans want out of their environment 🥴
Great review of content, slow delivery. 1.5x speed is appropriate.

Yes Le Corbu’s Chandigarh is sure one must to be mentioned.
LeCorbusier was Swiss.
Dreadful planners. Overrated architects. Wright is the laureate of suburban sprawl, hence his inflated reputation during the suburban explosion of the 50's and 60's. That said, some of his individual buildings are beautiful. The less said about Le Corbusier and the Bauhaus the better. Despite its avowed socialist principles, Bauhaus created the architecture of the highway office park. Le Corbusier had more self-knowedge. A fascist sympathizer, the inhumanity of his designs echoes his personal inhumanity. Both the architects of the Bauhaus and Le Corbusier had the attitude of vandals regarding the architecture of the past. See Marcel Breuer's proposals to efface Grand Central Station and Le Corbusier's Voisin Plan, his plan to destroy central Paris.
