The way I interpreted it is, that when you have an idea / dream / goal and haven’t done any leg work on your own in private to achieved said dream and you prematurely announced it to some kind of nay sayer that the dream just like a child in the womb if you bring it out too early you can kill it. Just with some kind of negativity or doubt. That’s how I took it as.

If you're really interested in this check out the subject of Epigenetics. They're finding that these things are coded in our DNA even how our body responds to certain foods, drugs and talents. There's some govt studies where they purposely separated twins at birth and the twins ended up working in the same career field and had no idea they had a twin. They also ended up living miles away from each other when originating from across the country. This is only the beginning stages of this field. LL and Mike’s energy and minds match so well. One of the best episodes and all of them are great lol

Man this brings tears to my eyes. LL's song Rock the Bells inspired me to work hard that summer to buy me a big boom box with my own money. Then inspired me to make music. Then I created a 808 sound that I didn't know what it was with my two fingers a broken speaker and a mic I took apart with sat that on top of toilet tissue and my mom wooden table all connected to that same boom box. Way before the 808 drum came out. Tried to record it but tape couldn't record that low frequency. Then later in life went to NY for the first time and produced a music video there for two days. We got lose between sets through out the city then found ourselves on Farmer's Blvd. I said man I'm on the same street LL hung out at. I felt so proud.

Finding out your history as a black person, there is no words to describe it. I found out my history back when is was 13ish. I’m 34 now and I had a cousin who was into genetics and he did independent research and he traveled to Africa and meet the tribe my family originated from in West Africa on my moms side. Learned about our owners was a family named the Carters in Virginia and when America was sending slaves back, we got stuck in Baltimore, when it was burnt down and here we are.

Mikes laugh is so genuine and incredibly gentle. I always suspected Mike was a deep soul that just so happened to be a great athlete. Glad he found his way in the world away from the sharks. Respect Mike and thanks for all the memories.

As a world history guy I can listen to interview forever. Two brothers born around the same time Brooklyn & Queens. They both know some of the same dudes from the same streets. Legends! Honored to Listen to the Legends!

Mike and LL are both thought provoking and sharp. I loved the dialogue.

This is one of the smoothest of Tyson's interviews. Usually there's a period where they're jumping over topics, people cutting each other off, etc. But the hosts and LL really jived well togethre in this podcast.

Iron Mike and LL are two of the icons from the 80s - 90s. I know this is gonna be a good one! Two of the best to ever do it from Brooklyn and Queens 🙌🏽

I have listened to many of these hotboxin podcasts and have enjoyed many but this one with LL Cool J is probably one of the best. Mike is off the chain with his knowledge and history of boxing, he lived and breathed it for sure. This was very enlightening. Wisemen bringing the knowledge. Thank you for sharing.
