I DidnT know much about her,but now that I do I like her. I think what bothers some people isn’t necessarily her weight ,it’s the fact she’s completely comfortable with it and unapologetic. She’s not ashamed, embarrassed or insecure about her looks, which for a very long time, since the beginning of celebrity til very recently - we were used to tearing celebrities down and having them be insecure and constantly reaching for perfection, with all the surgeries, tricks and photoshop. And she’s the total opposite of that. That’s what makes people insecure about HER weight. They’re not used to it.

You're exactly right about that -- they're bothered that she presents herself unapologetically, even though, ironically, a TON of Americans are her size, with more people becoming it by the day. It's giving self-hate in some cases, and insecurity in other cases, aside from general fatphobia (and misogynoir). People are so programmed to make fun of someone being big and are so programmed to expect big people to be embarrassed and apologetic about it, but Lizzo doesn't give people that, and so they don't know how to cope. I have seen/heard big men themselves make fun of her...even though they were big AND unattractive! But Lizzo isn't attractive "for a big girl," she's just attractive (and talented). @@Ateyouup "Shut up" and stop speaking to others in that manner when you're absolutely wrong in trying to silence his correct statement. Your sense of entitlement is nauseating. This lady is clinically obese. Being clinically obese is deeply unhealthy and has a profound effect on a person's physical, and often psychological wellbeing. That's what he's saying. Best of luck finding a medical practitioner that disagrees with him. So his statement is 100% correct. He wasn't mocking her, wasn't being cruel to her, and has only said what is being repeated by many people in relation to Lizzo's obesity and the manner in which she's promoting it. i.e - It's OK to be clinically obese and therefore deeply unhealthy and putting your welfare at risk. It's NOT, and that's NOT a message that should be promoted at all. As for your "she is smart enough to notice when to stop" - well by simply using your eyes and your brain, clearly she is not because medically speaking she needed to stop approximately 70lbs of bodyfat ago. So you're wrong on almost all counts other than the "happy" part because she may or may not be genuinely happy which you can't prove to anybody. So with all due respect, YOU should in fact "shut up." What makes Sean Evans a GOAT interviewer: 1) He studies his guests in detail, so he is comfortable with their personality from the start and he knows questions to ask that are more special and meaningful than normal. 2) He created an interview format that really unlocks something special and that feels real 3) he is really good at reflecting whatever vibe his guest has. This is on full display here, he doesn’t miss a beat with Lizzo, yet he comes off as comfortable and not forced at all. I’ve been binging all these videos and something consistent abt them all is that you can tell how appreciative all the guest are that Sean asked such in depth and unique questions that I’m sure they’ve never been asked before. Not to mention how focused and how good of a listener he is while listening to the answers you can tell he’s interested in what they have to say and is truly taking in everything they have to say which is different from other interview host I’ve seen
I love how she is so unapologetically herself. She's open and honest and doesn't hold back. She loves herself and loves where she's at in life and if that doesn't show how successful she is then idk what does. Regardless of money or fame, she's happy.
