By the time Police interviewed Lizzie that day, in her bedroom, with Dr Bowen present, she was wearing a pink & white striped wrap/robe. So was Dr Bowen asked if he was present before she changed & if he could describe the dress ? I also read that she was very reluctant to let them in, although Dr Bowen was already in there, to chaperone her , according to that era's etiquette . I think the flat iron she ironed hankies with that morning, was the weapon. Contrary to forums that say they're too heavy to swing, I did some research & they came in a variety of sizes & usually weighed 5-9 pounds. Lizzie was solidly built & wouldnt struggle to swing that. If you look up Abby's autopsy photo the largest wound on the back of her head is the same shape as a flat iron. Andrews photo is too blurry & poor quality to see anything.

I said the same thing the Borden house has the iron she says she was using to iron and one it's definitely small enough to swing two ahe would have for sure heard Abby hit the floor she was a heavy woman and three the wounds on Abby's head is very spaced out and shaped like a iron

Either way, you'd think she wouldn't burn a dress when someone could see it given her situation.

@@sarahholland2600 …. Wasn’t Lizzie Borden on morphine by this time. The morphine was given to her by Dr. Bowen, I think.

@@Jasper7182009 yes, but she was not given a double dose until just before her testimony. Also back then old dresses were either given to the staff or if badly ruined , commonly torn up & used as rags for cleaning etc. They weren't usually burnt.
