The difference in the sound on that roof is huge, i was on the fence with whether i wanted to use this or not, nice to finally find a video with someone that does a before and after effect. I'm sold on it now.

Robert Nielsen I really enjoy watching your channel, I am a 70 year old fart trying to build an old pick-up thinking I am like you (but I can't compare to you) you do excellent work and make it look so easy!! What I have learned from you is "just go for it!" and I am doing just that. My work may look like crap but it is all my own effort and I am proud of it-it is all learning.

I love Lizard Skin products. I struggled with the ceramic to get it coated correctly. I want to see how you fare with the stuff. Dynamat also has some foam you can put down on top of all this. Thanks for the tip on the flash rust. I has a little of that too. Glad to know I don't need to worry about it. I didn't scuff something correctly, and it all peeled off. It sucked. I actually take some acid etch between the primer layer and the Lizard skin. It bites good. Glad you had success.

It's got Epoxy primer on it so that should be no problem, but I think he might not have gotten enough sound deadening. Like you never used the stuff before so this will be interesting to be sure. Maybe he was planing on doing the roof, not sure. (I'm doing the paint and body restoring.)

This stuff is amazing. I sprayed my project last night , and after the first panel was done it was as if I dragged a big carpet into the shop. I'm spraying the sound deadner. Yea the interior was quieter for sure , but the shop had less of a ringing bathroom acoustic. I'm guessing it's diminishing returns for the second coat but I'll see. Oh it's just bedliner /undercoat. No way Jose, this stuff works.

@@PuddinsFabShop Same on the before/after. I'm shocked at what my ears heard! It was like I brought an area rug into the shop. I've yet to do the second coat, as the temp is dropping around here and it's right on the edge of minimum temp recommended to spray in the unheated area of the shop but I've got a few more days. I'm very impressed with the results so far, and the demo of their ceramic coat has me tempted to get a gallon and do the floor. I learned alot, I see why blue tape is a no-no because the water base lifts the tape off. And having sealed scuffed metal is important for the flash rust issue. I'd definitely use this stuff again on my next project.

It's worth noting that in the 'before' sound test the camera and I assume the microphone was on a stand well outside the vehicle. The 'after' sound test the camera and mic were being held and was inside the vehicle. If that is true then I imagine there was an even bigger improvement in how well the products and application worked. Thanks for the vid.

Good morning buddy… I have been watching all your old videos, I stumbled upon your channel about 2 months ago. Really enjoy your content your sense of humour is awesome…you will definitely grow based on your personality as well as your drive and knowledge. I am from Alberta Canada…I have been in the Ceramic coating industry for years. Watching you apply that lizard skin pained me lol. The ceramic that I apply is from the USA. Kills me that you have to prime and so much time between coats (this product I apply self primes and you will better results because with ours because it’s over 80% solids-you would apply this material all in one day and it would be cured by morning) and it’s cheaper as well. Passed salt spray test for corrosion as well as 10 decibel at 30/1000 …I recommend 40/1000. I’m not looking at selling the material I would just give you the name of my USA distributor. This product is a no brainer compared to what I watched last nite. I felt bad for you…you could have cleaned less sanded nothing and applied all in half a day and you are done…this coating also reflects 98% Energy (light as well but Energy is where you save) I coat everything from fire walls, inside cars for soundproofing..hot pipes up to 500 F and cold Ammonia chillers to concrete to drywall, and everything in between. The bond is incredible …you could NOT pour this ceramic like lizard skin we are way to thick for that. Dries extremely fast with no cracking …and the gun you used works perfectly for ours as well…if conditions like humidity are low and you are applying you can apply all in one pass…turn a fan on or park it in the sun and within a couple hours …you can walk on it… anyways just letting you know is all. Take care

I thank you for the video. It was very helpful and the fact is I never bothered but will have to look at getting my old coupe quiet and maybe be able to listen to a radio in the car while driving!

Thanks for posting. I’ve been wondering about this stuff for years. I went with Eastwood’s version of Dynamat to avoid the spray mess. I’m happy with it but gets expensive, and I had nowhere near the square footage you have.

I used ebay dynamat stuff on my truck. But it’s not sealed well at all and don’t have good hvac. It does help keep the heat off the floor and roof tho
