The Africans are where my heart is, but I sure love the angels and geos too. It’s so funny to watch the angels “race” across the tank, fins blown back, and they are hardly moving compared to the Africans. Thanks for the kind words!

ACs, particularly peas and haps, typically do not have much of a scape. However, I did update it with some aquadecor recently. There’s a vid 😃

I have about 60 African cichlids at home and I think they are one of my favourite fish aspecally I love that strawberry peacock you have and in total I have about nearly 200 fish including American cichlids

Beautiful tanks. My house is the opposite. When people come over and see my 8ft 400 gallon show tank in the great room, the OMG starts and his face immediately drops and says "Don't ask me, I have no clue, it's her's" I can't help but feel a bit of satisfaction. 🤣

@@CichlidCharmer I imagine you understand how outsides just don't get us and when someone else shows interest, I consider it a "win" 🤣 When I ordered the tank I made a deal it would replace the multiple tanks around our house. Which it did for about a year. Slowly but surely, I've started setting up some of my tanks in storage. Just recently I was questioned what was going on and why are deal, seems to be broken. My answer, "I can't help it I have a problem"

They both compliment the home nicely. I wonder at what point you have to be concerned with the amount of weight on the floor joists below? One of those tanks is running parallel with them.

Thank you! I actually had extra joists installed for the one that runs parallel with them. The other one is resting on a huge, thick beam. Both locations can hold much more weight than what I have on them. Good thinking though. I would never have those tanks on floor that wasn’t reinforced.

Why? Hiding places provide territories to guard, and these aren’t mbuna except for one. And there is no problem at all with aggression.

Yyyeeeeeeeeeeesssssss!!!!!!!! Thats one of my dreams to take care of!!!!!!!! If you slowly move the tank on.corridor till wall s edge it will meet the 2nd one and it will seem they are one!!!!! Or even better....if you remove side glass on 1 tank you can put them together to wrap the corner so they can move in a bigger distance!!!!!!! But i dont think then main glass can handle the pressure....ok you should let them as it is!!! So nice so nice so happy for you!!!!!

@@CichlidCharmer I agree on that.. you could just push both more to the edge of the wall to meet each other... what about using some of the space underneath kitchen s work table..i see its not in use....you could set the furniture base there so that aquarium is 360 degrees visible!!!! But you must work on that cause furniture is slightly higher and you must also remove black backgroung inside the aquarium...

Mine is acrylic. 1/2” panels. You need 3/4” if taller than 2 feet or longer than 8 feet. Not positive about glass, but custom aquariums’ web page may tell you.
