From the book of experience: When a Maine Coon kitten adopts you, take the TP off the roll and leave it in a drawer beside the reading chair. When you adult male Maine Coon grows up, and ours was about 12 kg, or about 25 pounds, do not even think of entering the house without an offering of fresh fish, raw chicken or catnip. (Good idea: all three.) Ours once pounced on a letter carrier as he was delivering the mail. We had to go downtown for the next three years to get our mail.

That’s such good advice! And Baggs (the kitten here) is now a little over 2 years old and about ~22lbs now, haha he loves loves snacks and demands freeze dried treats the second I walk in now too 😂😂😂

With my girl the sign she was being naughty was that it got quiet all of a sudden. Or that i would hear the new sound of something she discovered being battered around a room all of a sudden. Like the time i forgot to pick up a bottle cap. As I was trying to get to sleep i started to hear the ting ting ting of it getting beaten around my desk followed by the thunk of her jumping down.... As she carried it into my bedroom and dropped it into my hand, clearly expecting me to throw it for her to chase. The first night after I brought her home she saw my foot move under the covers as I got into bed and pounced on my foot with all the little kitteny fury she had, biting through the comforter, blanket, sheet, and into my big toe. Other than that, she's been the most gentle and considerate cat I've ever had. So much so that I'm willing to 'wrestle' with her some because she barely touches me with her claws.
