Nice review mate, I'm down in South Africa and have an 07 manual, also black but with cream interior. 108k (kms) on the clock. It's used as a 2nd car. Had it 3yrs and paid 8k GBP...hoping it does indeed increase in value! Bog standard too...run flats are very hard, considering changing to Michelins.

I've had my '07 3.0si roadster as a daily driver for 3 years now. They never get boring! Just as much fun to drive today as the day I bought it! Maybe even more once you get really comfortable with its character and performance.

I have an M now, black/black, no nav, extended leather, carbon leather, but before it I had what looks just like yours, 3.0si, black/black, no nav, sport seats, and MANUAL. Unfortunately a lady turned in front of me and it was totaled. It had 53k miles and was cherry. I was crushed, and I searched and searched for another manual, but they made so few for North America and I was unable to find one. But then I found the M, for obviously quite a bit more, and jumped on it. Fantastic car.

I get mine back in one week. Had a small accident, where the front right fender was bend. It took 3 1/2 months to get a replacement part. But next week I can enjoy it again! Thanks for your car review!

Bought one a few months ago in black sapphire with two tone red and black interior after wanting one for years. Absolute beast of a car and so unusual, I think i'll be keeping it for a long time. Loving the vids, keep them coming!

Nice review , I have owned my m coupe just over 3 months , it has 50k miles and 1 previous owner , love the shape of the car and the occasion when you get to drive it , Funny thing is never really noticed these cars when they came out in 2006 , but they certainly seam to be gathering a following at the moment

My Z4 is identical looking to yours except for CSL replica alloys. Coming up 3 years with mine. Spends the winters tucked away, which means you can sorn and rebate the VED. Dont bother with drilled discs, they do nothing other than can crack . The brakes are the same diameter as the M3 CSL, so dont need much other than better pads. Parts arent too expensive as came from the 3 series for many of them. They are also not too difficult to work on. Do change the gearbox and diff oils. These are 'sealed for life' from BMW and really nothing is sealed and new oil is always best. Enjoying the channel , cheers.

Cheers Justin, some really insightful points there - appreciate it! Sounds like yours is well looked after then! I may just look at better pads instead of discs in the future, I should probably look to have the diff and transmission oils replaced as I don't believe that has been done any time recently, will need to double check the service history!

I recently returned to the uk from the south of France to pick myself up an e85 2.2,lovely car perfectly suited to driving here,it took a bit of time,money and paperwork to import but was well worth it.

Great review 👍. Looking to buy one in the new year. Are all z4s pre 2009 fitted with the n52 engine. Understand that's the best . Changed at some point due to USA emissions.

Thanks Andrew! The N52 was introduced in 2006 - if you're buying a Z4 coupe they only came with the N52 (3.0si) or S54 (Z4M) as the coupe wasn't introduced until 2006. The roadsters pre 2006 came with the M54 and N46 engines, but yeah the N52 is my preference for sure. Check out my latest video for more details on the engines 👍

Thanks man, appreciate it! As far as I'm aware there's no spacers on it, but I think the offset of the M wheels is slightly different to the standard wheels, so they stick out ever so slightly more. Thanks for watching and your English is great! 👍

I'm getting a pre purchase inspection done on one now. This time next week maybe i'll be in the club! Any thoughts on best colours? I'll be getting it wrapped.

Awesome, hope it all goes well for you! For me the best colour on the E86 is Carbon Black. Turns from a dark blue in sunlight to black in darker conditions and it has so much depth to it, wish mine was carbon black but they're hard to come by!

Would like to get one - however in Ireland the annual TAX is 1,500EUR

My Z4 Coupe is in the garage for some maintenance and the dealer gave me Skoda Superb. My respects to the people who expose themselves to such a tedious and boring routinge E V E R Y D A Y.

Yeah I'm surprised the 3.0si models haven't gone up more actually, they're still a bit undervalued I think. The Z4Ms are steadily on the rise though!

Did you take out the foam plugs that plug up the pipes that let sound into the cabin? Let’s more sound in. Easy to do.

Yeah I've taken the black piece out but left the white one. I have tried it with both pieces removed, but its too loud for daily use so I just kept the one white piece in

2007 coupe 3.0si in manual. I’m thinking about doing the back box delete next. Pops and bangs might add a little fun.

On my roadster I removed the centre CAT and added an AFE induction box, that's all it needs really.

The tax thing is yeah slightly annoying. My 2000 330ci was £225 to tax, so I was expecting the same when I bought my 2004 330ci. But no £340, had no idea previously that 2001 marked a hike in ved -.-

You guys are lucky anyway.... in Ireland this same 330ci costs €1,494 to tax for a year.

Hello I have z4 coupe auto gearbox the car drive fine but sound of the n52 seems to be smoother than manual less agressive i dont recognise the genuine sound of a I6 compared to my m54 3.0i roadster z4 On my coupe i removed 1 sponge in sound generator but no change Drove recently a friend's coupe manual and sound was different more agressive If you check video on you tube about 3.0si acceleration it seems sound of engine is also different depending it is manual or auto box How is it possible that gearbox model change the sound when engine is completely same

That's interesting, all the videos of the auto and manual I've heard sound the same. I'm certainly not aware of any reason why they would sound different! You could try taking the second piece of foam out of the intake tube, however I did find this was too loud for me. Alternatively you could modify the rear exhaust silencer for a bit of extra sound. Hope that will help!

Spare a thought for us in Ireland.. we have to pay €1495 road tax on this size of engine..

@@FootToPedal it has had 2 owners, first owner was a BMW dealership owner that was gifted the car by BMW, then he sold it to his Neighbors wife and she kept it in a garage and covered and only drove it on sunny days

Yeah it is a lot of money to part with on an annual basis, surprising that the E46 M3 has a lower VED but the rules around it are very weird. Good luck on your search!
