The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity-one God who reveals Himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. In John 7, Jesus introduces us to the Holy Spirit by referring to Him as “living water.” In today’s study Pastor Gary teaches about the person and role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer.

I didnt ever pray or "talk' to the Holy Spirit until one day on my way to church, on a busy Los Angeles street, a dove flew to my windshield & fluttered for just a second and I felt things I can't explain but like goosebumps. I knew KNEW KNEW in my heart & soul that was the Holy Spirit reaching out to me & I've stayed close since that day. It's hard to explain & understand but God knew I needed Him & I sure did. Yes he's represented as a dove & I love that. He's very real & is a helper, comforter & he will convict when we're about to do something wrong. You'll feel in your Spirit a small still prompt that will say "bad idea" or don't go there or do something. It's amazing what messes he's kept me from. Then he comforts us. 🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊

@kayfunden5545 - In Luke 3:22 - When John the Batist baptized Jesus, Scripture says:"...the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

Amazing true joyful teaching. I needed this so many false teachings out there.even though i been a believer a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ for little over 50yrs and studied His word read His word front to back 14 times but still need this true teaching of His bread that we all need so desperately. Again pastor thank you and may our Lord bless you and all our brother's and sister's thru out the word with His Joy and Peace filling our hearts in Jesus name. Amen...

Thank you, sincerely for your heart towards our Lord and the teaching of His Holy word. I've gained much insight, and growth in the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ. May God's will be done in each of our lives, as we live to serve Him until we see Him face to face.

Many people teach "straight from God's word", the problem comes in the interpretation of what is being read. Take Jehovah's Witness, Seventh-Day Adventism, Mormonism, etc, they all teach in most aspects of their belief "from God's word". We cannot take traditional Roman Catholic Beliefs and cause them to fit in with God's word. Be very careful we are not taking or adding in this instance to what has been established in Deuteronomy 6:4

@@Shakespearelover1717 Sound doctrine comes from sticking to scripture and refusing things contrary to sound doctrine. The Apostles taught and did what Jesus taught and did. If anyone comes with another way to baptize other than what Jesus and the Apostles taught is not a true teacher, even on that topic.

You aren’t going to convince me, that’s certain, and I doubt you’ll convince anyone else. Gary Hamrick is a Bible scholar, and he’s taught me a great deal. Go learn your way and just leave the rest of us alone.

@Shakespearelover1717 Well said, I pray you read the scriptures for yourself and you will realize that the Name of the Son is the name you baptize in and not three titles at the same time. It would then say Names, but instead scripture says name- singular. This is the mame belonging to the Father in John 17 and 18. As well as the Holy Spirit or comforter which Jesus said the Father will send in "my" name.
My husband is a freight broker in the United States. He moves freight all over the country. He said it is just crazy how there are hardly any loads.. Normally very busy this time of year. Trucks are having to majorly drop their rates to be competitive to get loads at all.

What is the difference between filled with the Holy Spirit and sealed by the Holy Spirit?

@16:25 Can you divide Spirit? If so, where would you start the cutting from? Scriptures speak of the "mind of God", how then can God have three separate minds and wills. Colossians 2:9 In him (Christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and you are complete in him (Jesus Christ). You cannot find three separate persons in scripture, but you will find God revealing himself (manifesting) throughout scripture as: 1. Father - creator 2. Son - redeemer/savior 3. Holy Ghost - Spirit of Jesus in the Church today hint: what is a ghost but the spirit of a departed one.

@@christinebates5943 You had a conscience from a child, did you not; so then are we born with the Holy Spirit. Quite the contrary Christine. This is something that happens to all believers, someone who calls him/herself a believer experiences this. Please read Acts chapter 19. Certainly all things will be revealed in Glory land, but we can learn more about the will of God as we grow and study the word of God. If we only wait until someone teaches us we are in trouble.

@@christinebates5943 According to the Chapter, Paul met 12 disciples who were not converted but was of John the Baptist. He spoke to them and let them know the need to be baptized again because they were not baptized according to the salvation in Jesus Christ but rather for repentance. They were prayed for and received the Holy Ghost speaking in another language. Paul later went to preach salvation to the Jews in the region. In summation, salvation is very important and there is a way to be saved. Some might cling to their tradition while others look to find the truth.
The Holy Spirit is not a person and has no name !!!!!!!
