As a Indian I use to be paranoid of Pakistani people untill I had to go work in the UK. I had to share a room with a Pakistani guy, I was surprised by the way he treat me we became very close friend I know his entire family and his sister use to send me something Everytime he gets a parcel from Pakistan. I also get to know a bunch of Pakistani people here they were all so kind and totally opposite the propaganda Indian and Western world want us to see!

@@iridious6433 For decades, Pakistan has been painted as a war torn country that fosters terrorism. Pakistani's are well aware of this generalization and whenever they see a tourist, they do their best to try and debunk this narrative formed about them. Pakistani culture also emphasizes the collective rather than the individual making hospitality EXTREMELY important to Pakistanis.

Yeh this totally changed my view of Pakistan.. like don't get me wrong I never thought it was like bad people... but like I don't know you hear about wars and crazy sh*t and these people are amazing damn... I want to live in Pakistan I wonder how long they'll give me free food for before they make me pay (lol jks) - imagine if we had a teleportation machine and could get food from Pakistan at our prices that would be amazing!
The reason why you're not charged is because we consider you a guest rather than a foreigner, which ties into culture. I was raised with a great emphasis on hosting, looking after guests, ensuring people are well looked after in my home. For example, if a man was to do my garden, my job is to ensure he has drinks ready if he needs them or food if he is going to be there for a while. - short answer, but I'll continue below. So this isn't because 'we need money and to look good', it also ties into honour and respect which are also extremely important values in Pakistani culture. I was raised to greet my friends with handshakes and hugs, so I suprised quite a few people who didn't really know Pakistani culture at all, because it is something that shows mutual respect. All these things, including brotherhood, are very important to us.

We pakistanis are mostly muslims so it makes sense
Not to offend any Chinese people but when I went to China for a holiday pre-covid, I decided to go to a street market in Shanghai. I had brought with me a translator just incase if I didn't understand the what people said (my Chinese isn't the best but I did study some Chinese back in highschool). There was this vendor selling this delicious looking lotus root with stick rice stuffed inside, and I wanted to try it out, so I lined up in the small queue. I heard the person infront of me buying a small amount for 10 dollars (I heard the Chinese words and understood since I knew basic Chinese), but when it was my turn I used the translator to ask for the small amount like the guy infront of me. However, when the vendor gave me the food, he talked into the translator '20 dollars'. I felt ripped off but I didn't want to say anything since I'm afarid of arguing with people so I paid and left quickly. I also remember lots of random strangers in China taking quick pictures of me (some of them didn't even try to hide it) while I was on the train/bus which made me feel really comfortable. Seeing hospitality like this really makes me want to go to Pakistan for a holiday.
No kidding , most wholesome thing I saw
