Definition of "Off-Grid": Off-the-grid or off-grid is a characteristic of buildings and a lifestyle designed in an independent manner without reliance on one or more public utilities. The term "off-the-grid" traditionally refers to not being connected to the electrical grid, but can also include other utilities like water, gas, and sewer systems, and can scale from residential homes to small communities.

Love your lifestyle. You are a subversive. I mean that as a highest form of compliment. The corporations and their lackeys the politicians can ki$$ my a$$. Keep doing what you’re doing despite the challenges. You’re a huge inspiration to like minded individuals and others who are considering a change.

I sleep in a tent that I have pitched up about 15 minutes walk from work, in a small wood hidden out of the way from anyone walking by. I do it to save money and live for next to nothing here in the UK. My problem is the rain, this winter has been so wet, I read it is the wettest on record for England since 1915. So I am struggling with mold, and even started bleaching out the walls of my tent which worked very well. I have been camped here for 3 years now, and already replaced my tent once due to the zips wearing out. I use a Vango 5 man tent now. All the best, hope you have a good winter.

@David Walker Simply the damp getting into my tent. I use a lot of dry bags. I am lucky to have been left alone, as I leave the tent up while I am out. I use a camo net suspended around the tent to make sure it is not visible during winter. I think teens finding it would be hell. Then there are mites and ticks. Mites started making it hell to sleep when they got in my sleeping bag, suddenly had very bad itching when going to sleep, permethrin spray sorted that out and keeps me safe from ticks as well. On my days off I go out to pubs or anywhere with seeting like subway or any restaurant that let's me use plug sockets. It is not a bad life when you have money. Also I have a portable mini WiFi that adds luxury. All the best.

@Tim Pape I may need a new tent. I guess it is possible to use a stove with a double walled tent. But I think this tent is also a little too small inside the sleeping compartment. I use a parabolic gas heater, but can't keep it going all the time. Flex tape looks good, thanks for the comment.

Have you run across another source of supply for a liner?Have a great day! A sad day on the Million Dollar Highway today down by the turn off to head up to Engineer Pass. You take a different approach in that you show everyone the Ins and outs of what these products do to your daily lifestyle. It's not about your Rig, or whatever neat gadgets you can buy. But it is about How to Use them and the Where to- the What to...etc..etc...But most of all this video was great when you talked and discussed the deeper aspects of your Back Country lifestyle...Keep it up Brian you are one of my top 5 Favorites KZreadrs...especially in this Nomadic/Travel, and Experienced Driven way of Life.....
