Living In The Shadow of Vesuvius | Alex Polizzis Secret Italy | TRACKS
Alex begins the third leg of her journey in Naples, a busy and chaotic city with a population of around 960,000, and learns what it is like to live in the shadow of Vesuvius, the volcano that famously erupted in 79AD and destroyed the town of Pompeii.
Alex then heads to the spectacular Amalfi coast, the destination for part of her honeymoon, and samples the cuisine at the Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, where chef Mamma Agata has catered for stars including Humphrey Bogart, Richard Burton, Liz Taylor and Fred Astaire.

My favourite City in Italy. Love the people there Attitude Sense of Humour. Followed closely to Lucca in the North Elegant
Alex always eats like she’s starving lol. For awhile I couldn’t figure out why she doesn’t weigh 300 lbs! But then I realized that she only eats the 2 or 3 bites we see her eat lol No wonder she’s always so hungry!

The health and safety at fun fares scares the 💩
I always see them cooking with fresh tomatoes etc. What do they do the rest of the year when they don’t have fresh from their garden ingredients? Buy them at the grocery store like the rest of us lol

A celibate fisherman has been working for over 55 yrs. I wouldn't work that long but way shorter. I've been in school as an undergraduate for nearly a decade. How stupid! Not because of my psychological disability but my hatred of life.
There are too many sacred figures in the cribs of Naples. What?! One of Jesus' disciples have been to the city for a public delivery. If he were alive during the advent of pizza, he would've had some bites! Yum! DON'T LET THE VOLCANO INTERRUPT THE DINING.
At 07:00 - 09:15 she says the people “worship” the images and statues of the saints in their homes and that they “worship” the bones of the dead. This is not true they revere the saints not “worship” them. Worship is only for God something a practicing Catholic would know lol. Me thinks she needs more catechesis lol and probably go to confession before going to Mass next time as well. This is what happens to an Italian raised in the U.K. lol

It's worship. I am Italian, grandfather born in Italy. Saints may have been wonderful people but I do not pray before pictures or statues. To each their own.
