Living in the Future Episode 1: Introducing Lammas
Lammas is the UK's first planned ecovillage. It is designed under Pembrokeshire Authority's innovative Policy 52, which allows for sustainable development in the countryside. In Britain, no development has been permitted in the countryside since world war 2. The plans are for a new settlement of 9 eco-smallholdings, a campsite and a community hub building. It is sited on 76 acres of mixed pasture and woodland next to the village of Glandwr, Pembrokeshire.

this is the the way forward peace and love
Human beings consume the earths resources at an alarming rate and most people don't realize that in our lifetimes we will run out of clean water to drink if we don't change our living style to an earth friendly style, FAST! Good Luck to you. And I commend you!
This is the only way forward (simple housing and simple, localized living). Most people neither CAN or WANT to pay exorbitant conventional housing costs. It was all fine enough for the baby-boomers, who were the last generation to ride the population/economy bubble, but anyone born after has to find a new way to live. Of course the governments of the world are shuffling around like mad to cover every exit and MAKE us fund the failing system which yields few rewards anymore. Every individual has two basic choices IMHO: work and/or scheme to make loads of money to stay on the monied side of the divide, or simplify and return to timeless ways of living...such as this video hints at.

Whats the name of the song in the very beginning??
One thing I'm not clear on as I'm trying to find all the videos I can on youtube about this project, in this video Paul states they are planning to build thirty homes on this land, nowI know the project has been VERY successful, but I can't tell from later videos and the websites just how many homes were actually built. Anyone know how many they have at the moment?

what a terrible song
Its not bad idea. But we are at 21st century we can not adopt the way of life 1000s of years back our anchesters adopted. Its like loving antiques and never thinking of new possibilities. We can not stay in Zero civilization. By another 50 years or so we would transforme into Planetary civilization, where we can control planetary problems like earthquake, storms, weathers, volcanoes, anything they are planetary we can control perhaps our life by making it ageless or imortal or living hundreds of years more. By increasing the influence of primitive ideas, mankind could loose its game. As sun dies our planet die too. No matter how hard you try to keep your eco village it looses its efforts, Unless we keep trying to upgradin our modern world and way of living. By primitive eco village living idea we would be pulled back to square one.

369 Tubes No! You wont adapt because your wants are more than your needs and we cant have it living a simple life, huh? I can but you cant! Now that is odd. Because I can live without sell phone, electric, washing machine a microwave a tv, cable! All these are wants. Your needs are ... food water oxygen ! The water and oxygen are free the rest is optional. Learn to think! Dont say until you actually try it!
