@Dan Parker I’ve decided you should make my decision. I’ll be buying in a bit over a year & kept your info but for now will rent. Want to be within 10 mins of the beach, WFM forever, single, 1 dog, 47 but young, beach, bike ride, reading, writing my book, grabbing tacos & a beer, soooo my new friend where to live? Oh my budget 1 bedroom $2400 max for now. Thanks! Just subbed because of your haters I’m here for ya 😂

Thanks for the comment! I'd be happy to help however I can. I think there are a lot of places that would work if you just look anywhere inland from the 8 freeway up to the 78. You can find more affordability and yet still quick access to the ocean. You might even be able to find something in Little Italy or Downtown San Diego as well.

I’m thinking about vacationing there soon any place in San Diego you recommend staying like what part of the city also will I need a car or I can take public transportation

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want to spend the trip on the beach, go to Mission Beach. If you want to be surrounded by good food, go to Little Italy. If you want to be central and not expecting to spend much time at or near where you are staying, check out Mission Valley.
