To all the people who are considering moving to Germany because they saw this video, please consider the following that was not discussed in the video, the difference in taxes, if you earn 100,000USD in Germany you will pay around 38% tax, your Net salary would be around $ 62,000, while in Switzerland for every $ 100,000 you will pay around 15% m and you will retain $ 83,000 of the net salary. There is no capital gains tax in Switzerland, while in Germany it charges 25%. (if you like to invest in the stock market) So this will depend on your lifestyle and profession.

Money is not everything Enrik. You also should be happy living where you are. I earned so much more in Switzerland but was very unhappy there. Now I am in Berlin and get more for my money and also like the culture better.

You are saying the half truth dude. From this you need to deduct the cost of health insurance. Moreover the cost of living in CH is much higher than in DE, it can reach up to 2 times. Also if you need to send your kids to the kindergarten you need to pay around 1.500CHF+ dependening on the canton. So CH can easily become a financial nightmare...

It depends on your stage of life too. Now that I have 2 school aged children and don’t go clubbing anymore, safe green and clean Switzerland is perfect. Even small kids walk to school by themselves and so much beautiful outdoor activities so close. Ski school is 20 min away, clean lake you can swim or sail, pedestrian friendly town...

I am from Spain and my kids also walk to school by themselves in Germany. We used to live in Switzerland and there is not really a difference to what you described. We live in Bavaria now and tend to visit Austria more often than Switzerland.

Switzerland: + High Salary + Low taxes + Very scenic + Highly organized, disciplined + Equality + Public transport - Costly - Very tough for non-EU (Getting/ changing job, PR) - Lack of freedom (Changing job, canton, yearly permit renewal) - Language tougher but a must - Making friends is tougher, no social life

here in switzerland you will have a lot of money.. this is not expensive to live for swiss people because we have more money then germany in the end of the month.. As a Busdriver you have 7600.- in the end of the month.. this is more then 7200 Euro.. This is in every job here.. this is why we have expensive things here. Because we have the money. in germany the things are cheep, but they have not a lot of money in the end of the month like in switzerland

Money is not worth the boredom in Switzerland. Too expensive to be that boring. It is easier to make friends in Germany to be honest, friendships and family are always first. Swiss people have money but are super depressed. Not impolite, but not really friendly country.

I do not agree. I worked in Switzerland and in Germany in IT. In Germany you earn around 8000 as an IT specialist, and I only pay 700 Euros rent for a three bedroom apartment. I earned nearly the same in Switzerland but paid around 3000 Swiss Francs per month so right now I have so much more money left. I know a nurse in Switzerland who only earns 6000 Swiss Francs and that is not much when you have children and rent to pay. I prefer the German lifestyle.

@@palomajessy1760 i'm moving to Zurich in a near future and i'm very excited about that but one of the considering things is that Swiss are conservative people.. my own people are very conservative too especially toward expats and i get that but i was really looking forward to take advantage of this opportunity and make new friends and as you may know moving to Switzerland is very challenging which isn't bugging me as much as the first subject

You can’t compare Germany and Switzerland with regard to the cost of products, Germany has 10 times the population of Switzerland, they have a bigger market to sell to. Also i can buy shampoo in Switzerland for Sfr. 2.50 (Schwarzkopf) at Otto’s. There are some shampoos which cost more, it depends on what brand you want. No-one forces you to have a drink in a restaurant, you can buy a drink in a supermarket and drink it in the park. Berlin has about 4 to 5 million people, no city in Switzerland is that big, so it’s a bit dopey to compare such a large city to places in a smaller country. Zurich and Geneva are the two most expensive cities in Switzerland, the other towns in Switzerland are cheaper to live in. We have a very high standard of living in Switzerland that’s why things are dearer. We have very good services etc but we pay for them. I’m Swiss and i love my country, i’ve lived in Australia and travelled to a lot of countries and every time i come back home to Switzerland i am grateful that i live in a great country. I realise that my apartment i own is like living in luxury when comparing how a lot of other people live in this world. I am grateful for what i have. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

I live Amsterdam in Holland and i am nurse by the way and i will be moving soon in Switserland alone Geneva or Zurich or Luzern. What i learn from other foreign people is that they expect everything in same way as their home country!! which is very wrong becouse every country is different from other country. I am realy learning German and french right now very wel becouse i want to adapt swiss lifestyle in order to get along with other. In that way my life will be very easer for me.

@Jean juju I find Swiss people more relaxed. They take it all easy. It is not so busy everywhere; the nature and the quiety calms down a lot.

I agree that the prices seems to be ridiculously high, but when you have a job here it seems to be quite doable. I am now transferring from our office in Japan to our company office in Switzerland in March 2021. I was slightly shocked when they told me that my base salary will be around 86K CHF (80K EUR), whereas in Tokyo the same job at the same company is paying me 6,7M yen (55K EUR). Also taxes in Switzerland are lower than in other European countries or Japan.

Well, to be objective, there is a vast difference between the two countries. For instance, Germany is bigger, with a growing economy so the country can accomodate bigger numbers of labour with different levels and sets of skills. Switzerland on the other hand is a small country with a stable rock solid economy that attracts the highest skilled professionals only, and that makes it really difficult to find a job if you have a mediocre set of skills. Also, Swiss people are of conservative nature and that makes it hard to find swiss friends, however, the big cities are cosmopolitan so you can find all sorts of people from all kinds of backgrounds to be friends with. In conclusion and according to my personal experience. People don't choose to live in Switzerland. People aspire to live in Switzerland, nevertheless, it's not for everyone.

The girl on the left seems to lack a true understanding of Switzerland. Of course prices are higher when compared to Germany. Across the board, people in Switzerland make significantly higher incomes than the same profession in Germany. How does she think does salaries can be paid? Only by having higher prices for everything. Also, Swiss have a much lower tax burden than Germans.

@@mellyklint6199 Totally agree. There are SO many countries on earth where you can earn good money and live a happier lifestyle than in Switzerland. I am from Ukraine and lived in both countries, my money gave me more freedom in Germany than in Switzerland. For example, you earn 5000 Euros in Germany or 7000 in Switzerland, 5000 Euros gives me more money at the end because rent is only 600 Euros, food is cheaper, health insurance is cheaper and the small stuf is cheaper too, for example going out for diner etc.

I agree with the comments above me. Switzerland is not the only country with low taxes, and in Germany you get a lot back for paying high taxes and not everyone pays high taxes. Dont make Switzerland appear as a paradise compared to Germany. I like Germany much better!!!

Red Flag: Zürich is NOT the capital! It's Bern. 😉 Or, because Switzerland is different in so many ways: to be very precise, there is no Capital just a "Bundesstadt". But if you have to name a City as a capital, it is Bern.

We have 4 official languages in Switzerland. Swiss german, with many different dialects, french, Italian and Romansh. We learn “High German” in Elementary School, French comes next and English in High School. We are very proud to be Swiss for many Generations.

Good job. So many European countries can seem so nice at first glance, but they are so "off" in so many ways.

Income tax will in Germany is 40%. Income tax in Switzerland is 25% and other taxes in Switzerland and much lower, I heard. I need a lot more research. We need a comparison video about taxes.

I think the issue was that she was learning high German and it was difficult to practice outside the classroom because everybody spoke Swiss German. It's a bit difficult to learn 2 languages at the same time. 😊

I would like say though, it is no different then Castilian Spanish vs Cuban Spanish, British English vs Scottish English vs Southern American English or Portuguese vs Brazilian. She's not at all wasting her time learning high German(after all it's good to know where it all comes from). It's essentially the same language just different dialects. I just think the issue is immersion. If I was her, I would have avoided any kind of English and English speaking media. Outside of the classroom, she could hiring a tutor to practice conversation with and assist her with accent reduction(it cost money of course). She was lucky because she even had a member of the opposite that Swiss to practice conversation with. Yes learning a language is tedious but the process is accelerated and become much more easier when you're in the country of your targeted language(at least from my experience). Best of luck to your friend.

i am a foreigner and everyone speaks high german with me my students of course like to teach me swiss german because I teach them english swiss german is basically high german with the end of the word cut off, like in french, and „li“ is added to the ends of a lot of. and there are also some simple french and itallian words added (simpler to pronounce than the german words) - like vélo (bike), trottoir (footpath), springen (sprint), gummeli (potato), zahni (10), guggeli (hen), poulet (chicken), porc (pork) and everything is written in 3 languages everywhere so it is easy to guess what something is the problem with learning hochdeutsch in Switzerland is that the foreigners dont learn hochdeutsch, so if you only mix sith other foreigners then you will only go backwards. there are a lot of germans in Switzerland to speak german with and also most swiss who speak hochdeutsch, even the mountain farmers who have a very low level of education

We do write swiss german with each other in a casual way. We don't have grammer tho, so just write it how it sounds....

I lived in Switzerland for 11 years, went to school here and my circle of friends is like non-existent. Most of my friends are expats as well & I met them at church. It's hard to make friends here, they don't seem like they share too much of their emotions. I feel like they don't have problems in life, all they do is party & have fun lol

If you just want to stay in Switzerland as a tourist than it is way more expensive than Germany. But if you want to stay for good and work you earn so much more in Switzerland that it more than compensates for the higher prices. And you will also soon find out where and how to shop in order to get more value for money. But it is hard to find a good job in Switzerland, competition is harsh.

@@Bluepeter62 No, you cannot because Swiss are full of prejudice, They wont even give you a job in service industry when you do not speak Swiss German. The guy told me the customers do not want people to speak standard German with them even when you have C1 level. Discrimination at its best. It tells me a lot about how racist Swiss are. Maybe they should start looking at themselves and be more welcoming instead of expecting others to be "friendly and helpful". In a welcoming country, the people want to appear friendly and helpful to their GUESTS! They put themselves second. In Switzerland people do not invite strangers like friends of friends because there arent enough "drinks for everyone at home". "They werent prepared and everyone has to bring their own drinks". You know what, in countries like Israel people want to show you that they care about their guests and want the people to show that their country is nice, they do not look at you first and judge you based on your personality and then decide if you are worthy their time, they ARE welcoming. In Israel I go to a shabbat dinner of strangers and there is ALWAYS enough food and drinks!! Friends of friends invite you to their homes without having to prepare weeks in advance. You just go because people want to enjoy time with each other. In Switzerland it takes years in order to get invited by someone and then it is very conditional, you have to fit into their little Swiss world and behave like a Swiss. In other countries people want you to be who you are, So fuck it, you are WRONG! I really dislike Switzerland.

Referring to pizza gurl ("sounds like Switzerland is the California of Europe"): Well, there are big differences especially by each language-region. And actually the culture changes in every valley you go. And there are manny. Zürich is a mix out of California and NY. Unfriendly, busy and crowded. But clean and "fancy". Clean it is actually everywhere in the german part of CH. Geneva or Lausanne... I avoid! Expensive is every one of the bigger cities we have. For general big price differences, the country is too small. Except the rents. If you check the smaller cities, you get really nice flats for small money (relatively). Aarau for example is much cheaper than Zürich, Geneva or Bern. But why would you move to Aarau beside a cheap apartment? P.S. In Switzerland is the area close to the station THE place to be! It's almost impossible to get a flat there you can afford to pay. Dirty Geneva might be a exception. About the rents I know Bern and there, EVERY flat for 2 people or more, for less than CHF 1'000.--/ month - is crap! But the cheapest ones are anyway almost 1'000.--. So if you spend like 930.-- you get something no native swiss person would move to, if there is a choice. If you spend a 100.-- more, you can already get something really nice. So keep that in mind if you ever gonna look for a apartment in CH.

Ich muss ehrlich sein. Ich werde offen sein. Ich bin Eisenbahnfan UND ein starker Verfechter aller Formen der Elektrifizierung des Verkehrs. Berlin hatte gerade diese schrecklichen Straßenbahnen von Alstom, einem Schienenhersteller in Frankreich, erworben, die, da die ältere Ausrüstung Fenster hatte, um beide Enden zu sehen (wie Frontend-Sicht), wie die beiden anderen elektrischen Schienen in Berlin, die S-Bahn und die U- Bahn haben jetzt sogar die Straßenbahnen diese pechschwarze feste Wand zwischen dem Fahrer in diesem abgerundeten klaren Fenster (Windschutzscheibe), so dass selbst die Straßenbahnen nicht mehr möglich sind, als Passagier vorn zu sehen. Versteh mich nicht falsch, Berlin ist eine wunderschöne Stadt als Hauptstadt Deutschlands. Viele Dinge zu sehen und zu erleben, aber ich mag die U-Bahn, die S-Bahn oder auch die Straßenbahn nicht, obwohl sie alle elektrisch sind! Ich nehme an, der Direktor der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in Berlin seit der Nachkriegszeit hat Probleme damit, Eisenbahnfans oder der breiten Öffentlichkeit zu erlauben, aus der Vorderseite einer elektrischen Schiene in Berlin zu sehen! Ich war so am Boden zerstört, dass ich, abgesehen von kurzen Besuchen, nicht glücklich wäre, in Berlin (obwohl es die LGBTQ-Hauptstadt für ganz Europa ist) dauerhaft dort zu leben. Ich bin in Bern in der Schweiz geboren und aus den Trams in der Schweiz kann man größtenteils vorne heraussehen, Zürich hat diese Fähigkeit auch, verwendet aber immer noch klares Glas mit einem Hauch von Blaustich. Ich möchte zurück nach Europa ziehen, und Leipzig scheint mir die günstigste Stadt zum Leben in Deutschland zu sein. Die Straßenbahnen haben durchsichtige Fenster und man kann dort auch über die Schulter des Fahrers nach vorne sehen! Ich glaube, ich wäre in Leipzig glücklich! Ich bin deutsche Schweizer deshalb verstehe die Beiden, Hochdeutsch und Bärndütsch. Man könnte sich die Frage stellen, warum lebst du nicht in deinem Land, der Schweiz? Antwort in einem Satz: ES IST ZU VERDAMMT TEUER! ICH BIN NICHT UNBEDINGT REICH! (Ich wünschte doch, ich wäre es)!

also als Bahnfan sollte Berlin trotzdem weit interessanter sein. In der Schweiz wie auch in Leipzig gibs ueberhaupt keine vergleichbare U-Bahn oder S-Bahn. Und alles nur von den abgedunkelten Scheiben abhaengig zu machen ist doch reiner Unsinn. Du hast so gut wie nie eine freie Sicht auf den Fahrer in den U-S-Bahnen der Welt (auch nicht in sonstigen Zuegen wie ICE, konventionellen). Und auch in Berlin haengst von den Trams ab, mal davon abgesehen, dass man eh mehr sieht, wenn man nicht auf den Fahrer blickt (egal ob Bus oder Tram), sondern auf der rechten Seite vorbei - was in der Regel geht. Sieht also so aus, dass dich lediglich ein bestimmter Strassenbahntyp stoert. Bei mir ists uebrigens die neue S-Bahn. Ich fand das alte Interieur als auch die Taucherbrillen-Erscheinung besser (aehnlich bei den U-Bahnen, die eher wie Trams aussehen. Mag ich weniger, sieht schlechter aus usw.)

Am I the only one who thinks 400 swiss Francs for a double room is a good deal? In California in most cities (unless you are in the deserted parts) you'll be lucky to spend 800 USD for a small double room.

You will get you own apartment for 1000 Swiss Francs, like a small room outside of the big cities. In Germany you will get 2-3 rooms for 1000 Euros.

I don’t know how your friend came up with the idea, that people in the French part of Switzerland speak less English than in the German part. Maybe in small villages, but that would be the case elsewhere in Switzerland also. However in cities like Geneva and Lausanne speaking English really shouldn’t be a problem.

Switzerland is in the worldwide EFI (English Proficiency Index) only at Rank 29. Netherland 1, Germany 10, Austria 3. And the reason why an educated country like Switzerland has that bad result is mainly due to the French speaking part - just like France (Rank 34) ... the German speaking part speaks MUCH better and more English in relation. And everyone how has a bit knowledge about international communities (e.g. online computer games) know that French speaking ppl are usually the ones with 'bad/broken English' just like ppl from Russia or Turkey - which makes team building much more difficult. This does of course not mean that there are not ppl from France or the French speaking part in Switzerland who speak good English, but the amount of ppl is lower comparted to many other countries.

Once you are older and further in your career, you will discover the "miracle" of taxes. That's when Germany becomes tax hell. There are various studies that despite the high prices and the cost of living, on the net side the Swiss have more disposable income. Then again, money is not everything.

@Jean juju Well, I refer to an OECD study that shows clearly that Swiss have considerable more disposable income than Germans after taxes and with the high prices. I have many German friends that seriously disagree with you. But hey, a free world and you can live wherever you want. As for me, I like Germany and the cost of living is a clear advantage. Then again, the German system also has a lot more advantages for freeloaders. You also seem to have a reading disability. I wrote "Then again, money is not everything" and you answer "Not true. Money is not everything." I guess you not being in Switzerland anymore is a win win situation for both sides then. All the best!

@Jean juju Yeah, I bet you would feel more at ease at the "Reichshauptstadtslum" Berlin. Enjoy! I lived 20 years of my life in other countries, in Africa and Latin America. So I am not the "typical Swiss". The perfect country does not exist. Also Switzerland has problems and working poor. The rest all comes down to personal life style, preferences and circumstances. Switzerland is a place where achievements and hard work are still rewarded. But you are absolutely right. To get paid peanuts, give half of it away, but having the work life balance you want, is a personal choice.

the French speaking part is btw. the main reason why Switzerland is in the EFI Ranking (English Proficiency Index) only at rank 29. Like France they suck with English (the German part of Switzerland is much better - as the girl in the video correctly mentioned).

Judging from what Stefy says about the two countries, I will go with Germany as well. I mean,I already feel like m so up tight here, and it's worse in Switzerland.... Girlllll....I love Berlin. If freedom was a city,it would be Berlin😅

Stop that "high swiss income" propaganda. It's so annoying! 80% swiss are average or even below-average earners. Only a tiny minority (probably 10-20%) really earn high salaries. If salaries are so high in Switzerland why does it according to statistics have the lowest home ownership rate in Europe? The typical swiss worker might earn averagely higher than his counterpart in neighboring countries but at the end of the day has less in the pocket due to their extortionate price levels be it rent, food, clothing, entertainment, healthcare.

@@yogamazing5941 Exactly! The swiss are so full of themselves but they are nothing but corporate workers being constantly milked by their own government. It's just that the banking system over there attracts very high net worth individuals and multinational firms. It's always rumored to be a "rich" country but actually refers to the group of wealthy individuals that reside there. The swiss in fact are not living better or larger than other europeans but strangely have an exaggerated sense of self-importance due to complexities and the false narratives attached to their tiny country.

I know many expats in Switzerland who wanted to buy a house but 1 million Swiss Francs does not bring you far, maybe on the country side but maybe not where you want to buy and live. In their home countries, they would get a huge house for the same amount or even two houses :D

Switzerland is not bad at all. It just depends on what you want. The comparison between Zuerich/Switzerland and Berlin is also kind of extreme. Berlin is also compared to Germany a bit different. And the stereotypes between Munich and Berlin are quite similar. People who prefer Southern Germany/Austria over Berlin are likely also prefer Switzerland over Berlin and the opposite. Different ways of life ...

I feel like the ecuatorian girl didn't get a very good experience living in Switzerland. I feel like she looks back at those days with pain in the chest, she's not being objective. I believe everyone has to have her/his own opinion.

She talks like everything in that country is bad, and that Germany is way better. So, she's not actually giving an objetctive point of view. I mean, everyone has his/her own opinions based on experiences; she didn't have a good one but that doesn't mean the country is all wrong

She was actually being objective and truthful with her opinion unlike some imbeciles who say stuff just to please the crowd. Many people (mainly foreign residents and the expat group) like her have had similar bad experiences and are speaking out on other platforms, if you care to know.

Guiliana: no. The point here is rather that comparing Zurich/Switzerland with Berlin is kinda extreme. You had similar results if you compare Munich to Berlin. If you are younger, more outgoing, like to meet thousand ppl, run into thousand things everyday then of course Berlin is way more attractive. If you prefer a slightly different way of life then Southern Germany, Austria or Switzerland is more interesting. Or more gradient: other parts of Germany ...

the swiss are hard working (democratic) there are a lot if people who are bludgers in Germany (it is a social state)

The best of Switzerland is Roger Federer and Peter Müller 👍

as a non german speaking (non integrated) foreigner you only get the shit accommodation. zurich isnt Switzerland. it is its own country. the second language in Geva and Lausanne is english.

The landscape in Germany is better, really? What you call a mountain is just a hill in Switzerland and our lakes are bluer than the heaven in Germany.

@G M Baden-Würrtemberg is very simular to Switzerland, but don't forget, Switzerland is older than Germany. Better job opportunities is not true, a lot of this jobs in Germany are underpaid. I mean 450€ per month is absolutely disastrous.

@G M the age is important because you said, Germany is more cultural than Switzerland. Second, 1600€ per month is absolutely bullsh*t. Look at the social carta of Germany, what happens there, when someone loses his job. The social carta in Switzerland is much better. And, we never attacked an other country (ok, not in the last 150 years), Germany started two WWs (and lost both 😂). We are the only country in the world with the direct democracy, so the real power comes from the people, not from politicians. Is Germany still better? We are not perfect, of course not, nobody is perfect, but we are unique.

First of all, your claim about 450 Euros per month is absolute BS. Even Balkan countries have higher average monthly salary than that, let alone Germany. Average monthly salary in Germany currently stands at 2560 Euros. Secondly Germany is culturally richer than Switzerland(by far), has friendlier and more open people, larger job market, stronger workers protection, more diverse landscapes ( literally everything you can find it CH you can find in Baden Württemberg), much better cuisine and is in the EU. Finally, you never attacked anyone because a) you would be crushed by your larger neighbours if you attempted to do that and b) because European powers have imposed neutrality on you in 1815, Vienna Congress. THe only reason why Germany never invaded you is because you are small, landlocked and strategically insignificant country that was perfectly willing to play ball with the Nazis. Not to mentioned you massively profited of the WW2 by stealing Jewish possesions and have redirected them back to Germany when they tried to cross your borders so you might want to get off your high horse before mentioning history.

There are some really great insights in this video, but please try and control the laughing😉 Switzerland is a very highly rule bound, but consequently very respectful, country. The infrastructure, and especially the public transport, is superb, second to none. There are so many outdoors activities at all times of the year. But yes, don't expect the Western ideal of a 24/7 culture. Even in the main urban areas, there is a lot of respect for people having quality time with family or whatever they choose, rather than being worked to the bone.

What nonsense, Marco Willi. Swiss-German is a set of dialects and these are most definitely not a literary language. One of the four national languages of Switzerland is German, i.e. High German, and not any of the dialects.

as a third country national you will have zero chance at getting a permit for long term employment in Switzerland (unfortunately- as they have an EU regulation that favors EU citizens) Germany - since march 2020 everyone has an equal right to a job ( since the asylum seekers who were prioritized over non EU people didnt end up being brain surgeons and dont want to work and Germany needs workers) so for that sole reason, Germany wins and for the much better variety of food on all other factors Switzerland wins

Switzerland: each canton is very different. Geneva - international, muggings Lausanne - very international, risk of mugging in some places, high crime Zurich - arrogant people. also a lot of international people Bern - friendly mix of people, swiss and international Argau - lower social class (because of cheaper housing) Zug - small community of international people (who learn english rather than german) Lucern - a lot of arabs / muslim men, too many chinese tourists Schwyz - the first canton and very traditional - you are expected to greet everyone and there are a lot of parades of cows decorated with bells and flowers Ticino - very latino / italian Basel - full of prostitutes, criminals, zigeuners (Romanian Gypsies), transvestites. Popular with germans who live in Freiburg DE. Advantages - awesome hiking - cheaper universities than in Germany - people are more reserved (you are welcome if you dont make a big noise) - ability to talk and vote about things - free food on trees, you can have your own vegie garden - free housing if you are integrated (i have my own house in the mountains) - you make good lasting friendships, rather than superficial friendships - very cheap train tickets (if you are integrated you know where to find these) disadvantages - trains are often cancelled or stop running halfway through their journey (due to electrical problems, avalanches on the track, problems in border countries - italy) - lack of variety of food. and when it is marked down because it is basically inedible then it is still twice the price if nice fresh food in germany - trains stop running at around midnight Germany - has changed a lot - very difficult to get cheap housing now - university fees have increased significantly - too many muslim men (as a white female with blond hair I am always stared at) - even old ladies complain about the asylum seeker men asking them for sex on a daily basis and not understanding the meaning of the words „no, never“ - a social state where there are a lot of people who never work (they spend their lives taking drugs, smoking etc) advantages of germany - great variety of food - cheaper food - trains that run 24/7 - awesome water parks and adventure parks ! - cheap swimming pools disadvantages of germany - safety is now a big issue - has returned to the DDR - university fees skyrocketed for international students - lack of housing - no mountains , no places like Switzerland has to go hiking - they have cancelled their cheap express train deals - some germans are very arrogant and aggressive against the swiss. (the swiss will just walk away) - old germany was great. but new germany is sadly not as great - swimming areas are now no longer safe for females
