Dorchester is Boston's largest neighborhood separated between white and black neighborhoods and fields corner was officially nicknamed little Saigon a couple of years ago with many Vietnamese restaurants and markets

Thank you so much for making these videos. I appreciate your thoroughness and honesty to your experiences. Could you speak to public transit options in Boston? Commuter Rail vs. T vs Buses or when you think Ubering would be better. You're doing God's work! Thanks so much!

You’re welcome! Commuter rail tends to be pretty reliable. If you just need it to get to work, you can live a bit farther out and save more on rent. Make sure to plan around times though, cause trains typically run every half hour at best. The T has its problems - but I’ve found it to be mostly reliable. The closer you are to city center though, the more often trains are running. Truthfully, I don’t have a ton of experience with the buses. They do have to compete with traffic. Uber-ing is nice… but easily the most expensive. Let me know if you have any questions, hopefully that helps!

Thank you for your videos. I am planning to visit Boston for the first time this coming fall. Any recommendations on where to stay? I am look for safe area, close to the T and closer to downtown. It seems like everything is about 400 a night. Thanks!

Fall is a busy season, everyone wants to see autumn in New England! My recommendation would be to stay on a Commuter Rail stop farther out from city center where (I think) hotels might be cheaper.

@@BreakingDownBoston thank you! Is the commuter rail cheaper than the T? I was thinking they are the same.

The best thing about Boston is Logan Airport Terminal A B and C. It's fantastic especially when leaving

Do the locals still set fire to their fancy apartment buildings just so they can drop bricks on firemen?

I grew up in Dorchester in the 60’s and 70’s. Great life. Now , as you point out, it is much more ethnically diverse and with a much higher violent crime rate. No thanks.
