Living Expenses in France as an International Student | ESSEC Business School | Study in France

Hello Welcome back to the channels guys 😀
If you're new here, my name is Arif and I am a first-year student at ESSEC Business School for their Grande Ecole Master in Management program.
Today's video is about all the living expenses in France as an international student.
I have divided the expenses into 4 major categories.
1. Rent or Accommodation
2. Food and Groceries
3. Travel Costs
4. Misc.
Apart from these 4 major categories I also talk about some one-time costs that you will have in your first month and then after giving you a theoretical estimate, I compare it with my actual expenses which I have logged since I have arrived in France in the app Notion.
As always, thanks for watching and I will see you in the next one 😁

    Hey Arif, thanks for the video! Helps a lot. The first month and few days of Sep budget that you have taken of €1300, that considers rent as 400(after CAF) or 600 around without CAF?

  • @iArifAhmad

    @iArifAhmad

    Hey Arif How long does the caf refund takes? I’ve heard it could take up to 2-3 months if not more, so should that be accounted in the budget?

  • @iArifAhmad

    @iArifAhmad

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes Harshit, it takes about 2-3 months to get it and you should consider that in your budget but it usually happens as such that after you get it, you get for those entire 2-3 months at once so you end up not paying rent for a particular at all so for that month your expenses are quite less.

    Hi Arif, I am planning to apply to ESSEC. I came across the double degree option at essec for international experience. So are you supposed to manage a year abroad combined with a contract based apprenticeship in a 2 year period(assuming thats how long the MiM course at ESSEC is)?

  • @iArifAhmad

    @iArifAhmad

    2 жыл бұрын

    You don't need to specially do both at the same time. With an apprenticeship your program stretches to 3 years

    Yes, Bick. Social life here at ESSEC is great. You can meet people from all around the world. Every class can have different classmates because of the flexible curriculum system so you are not around the same people for every class.

    Thanks a million fr sharing such important vdo. After watching all your so informative vdos i want to send my daughter to Essec. I got a question, can u plz tell how much maximum loan can be approved from prodigy finance?? So that I can prepare myself for nxt year. Coz all in total tution fees and living cost nearly about 50-60k euros which is quite high

  • @iArifAhmad

    @iArifAhmad

    2 жыл бұрын

    Prodigy Finance will firstly approve for 1 year. Around 20K euros and then again it will do the same for the 2nd year. ESSEC also allows you to do an apprenticeship and that will give you back the entire tuition fees so like a 100% tuition scholarship
