    I am so glad to hear that pets are a non-issue. The Czech Republic has made the short list of countries I would like to move to in order to teach, and eventually gain citizenship.

    300/400 dollars for rent? Maybe for a single room flat way far from the center...otherwise, ~300 $ is if you want to share a flat.. So thats not cheap at all, and in general the rent in Prague is one of the most expensive in Europe, top 4 for sure. I live in Germany now, near the center of a mid sized town(+200k people), and the rent costs at least 20% less than in Prague. Sadly that town eats like 50% of your salary lol, which is crazy.. And not everyone is fit for flatsharing, especially 30+ age
