Hi there I’ve been in menopause for five years now. The main advice I would give you is to clean up your diet. Focus on fruits and vegetables eliminate as much meat as you can because a lot of the meat today has hormones added also try and get as much exercise as you can. Stay current with your doctor visits and get tested for hormone levels because they will be instrumental in your menopause stage.

Love your t-shirt, it says it all! As for menopause, had a hysterectomy at 29, left 1 ovary so I wouldn't plunge into menopause. I never had any of the symptoms as so many women get. But noticed the hair on my legs stopped growing and my arm pits LOL. But reading comments you would starve. Please do see a Dr. as you said, then figure out best course of action for what is best for you. The only is read food labels and cut back on carbohydrates.

My hot flashes just slowed down in the last three months. I’ll be 49 next month. I just let it happen. 🤷🏽‍♀️ sometimes I drank tea, a mix of Damiana, Chamomile, & Hibiscus. All loose & wild crafted. I just measured with my heart. I think it helped because the hot flashes are pretty much gone now. They lasted about 1yr.

For hot flashes, reduce sugar and add soy products. For better sleeping, take magnesium at dinner time. Walk at lunch break... Portion control is best way to keep weight down. If you try, it's manageable.

We lost our son at 24 yo. It was a hard time. The Lord got us through and continues to get us through. My husband and I are both 82 yo and have been married 61 years. All is well. I have heard that SAM-E is helpful gor Menopause. I dont know if it is natural or not. Blessings in your day and JOY in your journey❣️

I took a natural supplement called Estroven. I didn’t want a prescription because the dr told me it may cause cancer. Dress in layers. Monitor what you eat, because you will have fat in places you don't want it. The feeling you had when your son was out of the house is what's known as empty nest syndrome. I kept music on when I wasnt home, it gave me a feeling of someone at home when I open and entered the door. There would be times I when I would cry. Oh well, I got thru it. Peace and blessings to you.

Hey girl...just let it happen don't stress! I will be 65 in June, and had a complete hysterectomy back in 2005 because I was spending most of the month on a cycle and I was tired of that! I took hormone for about a month after that and that was enough for me! I don't like taking a bunch of pills either! But now I have alot of health issues and find myself taking a bunch a crap! I was able to cut some meds out by having an infusion once a year for osteoporosis and just starting b12 injections instead of pills! Getting myself off of ibuprofen and trying to eat healthier! That is my goal for 2024, get healthier! I have been divorced since November of 2020, and still so happy to be single!!! Do what I want, when I want ! Took an amazing trip to the New England states last summer, this summer will probably stay close to home, because like you I am saving to buy a home!

Menopause is a life changer. I started my menopause in my early 40's. It was very hard on me. I had mood swings, sweats and a rush of heat. It didn't happen everyday. But when it happened it was overwhelming. My family just ignored my behavior. I thank God that they loved me. Menopause will come to pass and you will be "normal " again.

I have been menopausal since 2020 and it’s been a ride. The short term memory issues and hot flashes hit me hard initially. I took meds prescribed by my doctor but the side effects - headaches, cancer risk, was not worth it. I started being intentional about taking multi vitamins and B12 daily, along with significantly reducing caffeine. Almost every time, iced or cold water knocks out the hot flashes. Also I’m pescatarian so I eat a lot of fruits and veggies daily and fish about once a week which tends to keep my immune system in check. My weakness is lifesaver gummies 😊 so I workout 4-5 times a week to balance it all out. Everyone’s body is different so work with your provider on the best solution for you ❤

I've watched the channel for a long time now.I've watched you in the Van.I've watched you move in into your home.I'm a fan. When you came to oregon, I wanted to meet you but I didn't want to approach you. I am in my 50s and I came into it with a giant party.I embraced it cause it's a blessing from God. My advice for menopause is drink a lot of water. A lot of ice cold water. When you feel it coming on drink water, that's what I. Do I find that I'm not as miserable as some other women who share their stories? I know it sounds too easy to be true. But the water definitely comforts me. Hope it helps

Hello, Abiyah, Brain fog is the symptom that you are describing. I have to keep notes to remember dates of deadlines. I use the calendar on my phone to remind me. Also, I recommend walking or some activity for 30 minutes every day. Because weight gain is easy if you have a healthy appetite. Menopause is also very peaceful because you enjoy your solitude. It’s all good! 💗✨

Hi my friend, it is so good to see you back with the videos. Just wanted touch base about my experience with menopause, my doctor told me we have premenopause and menopause. I’m 57 and I went into premenopause at 53. Thank God i didn’t have the hot flashes and everything else. I did gain a few pounds, nothing crazy, but everyone goes thru it differently. You just have to wait on your body to respond the way it should. Don’t stress, I’m 57 and I feel 37, lol. I get that compliment all the time. Just embrace like you are and take it as it comes. Some of your early symptoms might go away. Love your videos and those burritos looked delicious 😊.

Girl, I do enjoy your videos and I really hope you read my comment. You and I are in the same boat, but a 10 year age difference (me being older). I am very recently divorced (and very happy about it). I do have a dog but I love my space. I bought my first house in my early 30’s and sold it just over 4 years ago and bought another one. I am also getting things that I need to start camping (planning my first camp around the end of May) and as far as menopause…I’ve been there and from my doctors explanation, it never really ends but does get better. When I hit 50 (almost 8 years ago) I honestly started living my best life. And when I hit 60 in two years…that is when I am really going to start living my best life. I plan on retiring at 62, but 65 is my absolute cut off. I’m going to purchase a van next year so I can travel cross country, but I’m not selling my house…I worked way too hard to buy it. Anyway, you are doing great on your own, just continue being you and re-learning who you are. Maybe one day our paths will cross and we could enjoy good conversation and tea. Stay blessed and yes I’m a loner, I like to say “just because I’m alone, doesn’t mean I’m lonely” ✌🏾peace

Congratulations on your next journey! I’ve just celebrated my 63rd spin around the sun, and I speak from experience regarding menopause. The hot flashes are unavoidable, however they can be lessened with diet! Eliminate the dairy and meat! Also soy products should be avoided. Fresh veggies and fruits and whole grains can help a lot. I know eliminating meat can be tough but you try doing it gradually. In reference to your new solo experience, enjoy it. Reflect on self and what makes life rewarding to you. I commend you on acknowledging that your son needed the male role model and evolved into the young man that he is today because of it. I enjoy watching your recipes and I have tried one thus far! Your pan seared cod and avocado salad was delicious and refreshing.

I've been in full blown menopause for years. I thought it was getting better but nah. I did notice that when I slacked off on my strength training my hot flashes came back with a vengeance. At night my A/C is on 72, the ceiling fan is on and I also have to have a tower fan (with a remote). LOL. I recently heard about mushroom coffee to help with focus and mental clarity. It is instant coffee with mushroom extracts. It does not taste like mushrooms. I've only been drinking it for about a week or so. With anything natural it may take time for me to notice a difference. I'm going to keep drinking it though because working the night shift throws my mental off sometimes. Keep the videos coming. Road to 20K!!!

Hey Beautiful One! I will say, I know how you feel as I have experienced the sweats and flashes as well. Because I have been eating very healthy along with exercising 3-5 days a week for an hour, it is a rare occasion that I would have a hot flash. What works AMAZING for myself at 55 and has for many others, is blending with fruits, kale, Irish Sea Moss, Ashwaganda, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Keratin and Black Seed Oil. My hair, nails, skin, memory, focus and energy has me feeling like I am in my 20’s. The whites of my eyes are so vibrant and healthy. I do this daily and no one believes my age when I tell them. It is a BLESSING! It seems my menopause was short lived as a result of my daily smoothie and exercise. Being careful of what you consume is also key. I am very proud of you and you are going to continue to do well and soar! Keep that positive and lovely energy flowing! God’s Speed!!

I too don't like taking OTC medicine. So what I've been doing to help lessen my hot flashes is, sleeping with a fan facing me while I'm sleeping, I decreased the amount of sweets that I eat in a day, and I've added raspberries to my diet because they are an excellent source in helping decrease flashes. Another thing that I found has helped me decrease sugar cravings is eating a spoon full of sauerkraut or kimchi each day. The fermentation of the cabbage is good for the gut and kills off any bacteria or parasites that's craving the unnecessary stuff that we crave during the day. As for the weight gain because I did gain 25lbs since turning 50... I've began walking again for exercise. Walking is good for the heart and it helps to lower cholesterol and decreases chances of heart attack. As for my memory, I play brain games like Bejeweled, Soduku, word search puzzles, etc. Yeeeeeees, it is definitely okay to take care of Abiyah. Please do that for yourself because I've had to retrain myself to care for me after becoming my dad's full-time caregiver. 29:34 Those are called fantom/menopause cycles. It happens🙃. You will go through ALL of the symptoms of a cycle but may not have a cycle for 3-6 months, then out of nowhere it shows up with a vengeance; so I keep a little pouch in my purse just in case. 🙂

Hey there, Vitamin E cured my hot flashes. Just over the counter, one a day.

I take a pill everyday for my hot flashes. I started taking them in October 2018. I was having them almost every 10 minutes. It was too much. I’m into my 6th year and they are finally going away slowly. Don’t let them consume your life if it gets to be too much. You need to be able to function and the medicine made a world of difference. Don’t let people discourage you if you need to go that route. They will try and give their opinion. It was the best decision I could’ve made.

Hello, hello Abiyah. Yes, yes, yes, everything you’re experiencing sounds familiar. I am 77, thank the Lord and feel good. I just wanted to tell you when I went through menopause my obgyn doctor suggest I try “Don Quai”. She doesn’t believe in writing a whole lot of prescriptions. She will try the healthy way first. I went to the health food store - I purchased Don Quai, and believe me, it helped me tremendously! I am not saying it stopped all the things you experience, but it seem to come (even hot flashes) in a milder state. Read up on it, talk to your doctor. Who knows, it may work for you too.

I am at a similar place as you. I came from living in my car and now have an apartment. I truly appreciate living alone more than I did before. I am going to decorate it in a way that feels affirming and try to be better about getting outdoors!

I love your vibe, Abiyah. Girl, we're in Peri-Menopause (I'm 53) and it definitely takes some serious adjustments. I've had the memory fog and the hot flashes are 🥵🥵 My cycle has been irregular since I turned 50. I only had two cycles last year. I'm praying it's gone for good! Tabitha Brown has been talking about her friend "Peri" and how she just up and came from out of nowhere. lol. I haven't changed my diet or anything yet but I plan to, soon.

Abiyah I love your vibe, your energy is infectious. I am 49 now but started menopause at age 44. When I tell you menopause DRAGGED me through the fire, girl! Hot flashes, night sweats, depression and the brain fog was so REAL I thought I was getting dementia! Brain fog is still my biggest issue. I highly recommend a book called "Menopocalypse" by Amanda Thebe. Changed my life and helped me survive! Our brain has estrogen receptors which depletes and no longer bind with our estrogen as we go through menopause which causes brain fog. I never commented on your videos but have followed for years now, but this topic is so important for all women to know they are not alone. I'm on the other side now, you'll get through this. I thank you so much for sharing your experiences. Hope this helps

I’m glad you brought up this topic. All your symptoms are normal. Four years ago, I was going through menopause while over the road trucking. The hot flashes, then heavy menstruation was awful. I’m so thankful I haven’t had one for three years. One day it just stopped. So, I try to eat healthier. I’m a work in progress at the age of 57. And I feel good most days❤

Hot flashes dear😊. It is so annoying but just remember that it won’t last always. I tried an over the counter “help” for flashes but the first day I tried it I was hotter than ever. I decided let nature run this course on this and I made it with prayer and knowing this shall pass.

Peace and blessings Abiyah 💜🙏🏽☮️. Talk to your OB/GYN and have your hormone levels tested. My OB has given me a plethora of natural recommendations that have helped curb the menopause symptoms. Based on where you are in the process hormonally, there are things that can help. I've definitely experienced more brain fog since starting menopause. Sweating is the worst, definitely have a fan in every room.

Hi missing cycles to me was a welcomed experience. I am 60 now and I am an empty nester. It has been an experience for me living in a silent home. No one asking mom for help. I also thought…what do I do now. We keep in touch and visit each other, it does take time getting used to this new way of life. Enjoy life Abiyah. I feel like you helped me through it with your video travels and your life experiences. Thank you and may we have peace and happiness.

Good morning Ms Abiyah First let me say well done sis. Okay you ask for suggestions about your body change. I had to relearn how to eat as a woman that is going through the change. I incorporated fasting, eating more protein because of the estrogen loss and muscle mass loss. The emotional toll that this change will have on you is a challenge. I too am a Gemini and lol, I will talk to anyone who will listen so here is a virtual hug and I am praying for you. My one regret is getting a hysterectomy but to each her own. Love yourself 😂

Sounds like you may be experiencing peri-menopause, the stage before your cycle stops completely. I went through that ten years ago, and it affects people different. So definitely get professional advice. Happy to see you so happy!

❤❤❤❤ Hey girl, I know what you're talking about. I used to wake up in a cold sweat during menopause. Was 45. The cycle just stoppedat age 44.. I never had another one but that's great. That part is great, but basically I suffered through all the sweats and all those years of crazy mood swings. Because I could not take the hormone I got a lump in my breast. I have lived alone most of my life by choice and I always talk to my pets so I don't know what your excuse will be. We need to get a cat or at least a stuffed cat, okay? Haha. Love your openess 😊

When you live alone you talk to yourself. There is nothing wrong with that. Als as far as menopause goes they say until you do not have a cycle for a year are you truly in menopause. I remember sometimes I would not have a period for three or four months and then it would show up.
