Living 7 years in Germany | my experience

I have been living in munich for almost 7 years now and what a ride! I can defently recommend this city. I give it a solid 8.5/10 :)
Let me know if you have any questions and hope you are having a great day!

Agreed for Day to day but for jobs they often ask for B1 and B2. I’m A2 and it definitely can get you around and help you have conversations.

great summary about life here! i wanna contribute to your video and some people who consider to move to Munich. i am living also in Munich since 3 years. I agree with you that learning German is a key. But learning B2 before coming here should be really challenging 😛 About socializing part, i really feel like Germans do not care about foreigners to involve them in their circle. This could be faced in any other foreign country, but it is a bit harder here. Because I feel like Germans themselves are not so warm to each other. They have basically kindergarten friends and they stay touch with limited people. I feel like they are like a mystery :D, they do not give you some basic simple info from their life for a long time. 😬 By hobbies or some occasions (work, language course etc), one can have a circle here. Unfortunately it is not easy, especially to have a German circle. I have friends from my nation + some internationals from my hobbies. I have some German work friends which are not like typical friendships. In conclusion, I sometimes regret to not starting my new life in Netherlands. 😶‍🌫People there seem a bit more open. Pros👍: nature. work-life balance. enough internationals. safe city. good surroundings. ok climate compared to north. Cons👎: need to learn German not so welcoming not so vibrant

we are italian, just moved to Munich from US (Pennsylvania) for working in a multinational company. thank you for your videos, we are seeing them from US to prepare the move. after 3 months in Munich i confirm all what you are saying....i am not sure we will live here forever, but a great city....international, everything is working and super safe. fully agree also about your cons ;-)....but after living in Italy, Switzerland, US i can confirm that a perfect country does not exist.

Yeah, specially coming from the US you are going to miss that "easy talk" with people. But at one point, there are more pros than cons and that's when you know, if the city is for you.

I know you're from Venezuella which is very sunny place and as a Central Asian myself I find it hard to cope with lack of sunshine (currently live in Latvia). Can you pls explain how hard was it to get along and does it still effects your mood after 7 years?

...at least to a B2 level hahahahahha BARE MINIMUM hahahahh,a B2 level means that you speak german well and you just need a little bit of polishing to perfecting the language.anyway, learning german is not so easy but it`s beautiful. also it depends which languages do you speak.for a latin speaker it isn`t so easy.

I feel that I got to B2, and still, there is so much to learn. But B1 is definitely also good to start something. If I am honest, I came to Germany with 0 german, and I feel that A2 you start seeing the light lol
