Livin' On A Prayer Performance Notes
Intro
Start off by playing the C1 D1 and E1 as the bass notes for the Bsus4 chord
Talkbox Samples are from F#1 to B1
Talkbox riff is played on the F#, G# and A# the G can alternate with the F#
A and B are the WHOA samples for the verse
Samples need to be loaded to the LOAP TALKBOX Emulator II patch
Right hand synth layer for the intro chords and riff
Verse 1 & Refrain:
Scraper synth keeps the rhythm during Verse 1, the high G contains the stab FUZZ and DX7 Clav
Chorus
In the original recording, only DX7 Tubular Bells can be heard, I have layered this with a pad. You can silence the other layers if you wish to play the chorus accurately
Verse 2 plays the high strings on the top octave. Switch to Refrain Variation to play the stabs

A QUESTION: I am already using software similar to Gig Performer, and I am impressed with your programming of sounds using Arturia's V-Collection X, which I hav (..along with UVI & other software emulations) Will all these sounds work in Arturia V-Collection X without using Gig Performer?

You will need Gig Performer to host the V-Collection to enable you to access the sounds. Gig Performer stores and manages the patches.

@@narfsounds Thank you for getting back to me. Much appreciated! Two follow-up questions: (a) Are the patch settings in the Arturia VST synths you've created stored in a proprietary 'Gig Performer' format? (b) Would Gig Perfomer be required to tweak settings in the Arturia VST synth software, or do you load up Gig Performer, then tweak the settings in the Arturia VST directly?

Gig Performer remembers the state of any given plugin loaded within it when the .gig file or Rackspace file is saved. You can open the plugin as within Gig Performer and edit as you normally would. Even if you don’t save a plugin preset within gig performer, Gig Performer preserves the state in which you left the plugin while it was loaded in GP.
