LiveWire S2 Del Mar - Ride Review
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Formed for the city sprawl, but with a Flat-Track inspired will to thrill, the @LiveWireev S2 Del Mar has finally landed in Europe.
@garethBSMC headed to Barcelona to get in on the the action, taking the 194 ft/lb of torque Del Mar first through the city and then the epic surrounding mountains. Head to our site for his written review or stick here for his vid, complete with interruption from a man who has covered more electric miles than most...
Want a go? Head to Bike Shed Los Angeles and sign up for one of our regular test ride days or head to the LiveWire site to find out where and when you can ride one near to you... You won't regret it.

finally a review that puts it in a location that its designed to be in
Cracking video 😎🤘 was good meeting you look forward to the next time 🙏
A couple LA Shed members own these. They're not bad looking however the price is still something that makes them nonsensical to me, 15.5k usd for such low range. They're getting closer though. If these were just a tad below 10k I'd seriously consider one as a 3/4th bike. However if you want to mess about with an electric bike solely in the city then much more fun can be had with far less by going with a super73 (different animal but still). I will say I'm happy it's getting better price/performance wise but I'm still not there.
This is the first Harley Davison that I actually like. They did a great job with the looks of the second version. I feel like the bottom could be cleaned up a bit where the controller is at.
I’m going for it. I’m not going to use it for urban commuting, though, it’s for rural windy-road commute and fun. I’m going all-in electric. All of the fun with none of the hassle, stink, or rattle. Love the flat-tracker look - reads XR750. Ninja.
I’m jealous of the euro style tail light. Also I wish there were more aftermarket accessory options for the Del Mar. Can’t wait to get mine! I have a short work commute and parking is $700/year versus $100/year for a motorcycle so it’s an incentive for sure. Plus free charging at my work!
Well, looks great and sounds like a lot of fun to ride.... can see this appealling to urban trend setters, a different market to most bikers.
I’m 6’5 around your build. Do you think being an inch taller would matter to get a comfortable driving position?
This is really nice 👍
Love the idea and styling - would never pay the price being asked for what ultimately is a very limited mileage vehicle.
I love the styling. Once new battery tech comes into production these bikes will be more value for money.
Im looking at this bike it may be considered a city bike but considering it has 113miles and charges 78mins i believe this is capable of long distance travel i planning to ride to my favourite uk attractions with 2 or 3 charges required en route
That's a big jump!
Price and range just don't make sense. The livewire is a total sales flop so I'm curious to see how well these do.
At least make a compartment under the tank shape plastic cover to put the helmet

It's guts are under there
Do they do them in adult sizes?
Livewire say the Del Mar is a city bike, but give it the performance of a sports bike, and the consequent need for a huge, and very expensive, and heavy battery. If you think about city riding, it's never fast, what's the average speed in London these days? 9 point something miles per hour. Unless your commute includes a reasonable amount of national speed limit stuff I can't help think that something small and light, like a Super Soco, or a Maeving if you want cool points, or yes an ebike world would actually be better, and it would save a huge amount of money.
78 min to charge to 80% is not good at all, no fast charging on this bike is killing it
It has just enough range to get out of the city and then turn around and come home. This makes it a very expensive toy that doesn't allow you to see any beautiful back roads without traffic.
L électrique n est pas l avenir même en moto.... L hydrogène est une excellente piste de développement, cependant le carburant et les taxes qui vont avec ne vont pas dans le sens du dictate des financiers. Dommage pour les peuples....
Thumbs down for EVs.

You shouldn’t mock what you don’t comprehend. People with horse and buggy said this about combustion engines in the beginning.

@@eastwood111 So you have to be an EV engineer [I'm sure you aren't] to dislike EVs. Is that your argument?
Shilling for the EV BS is such a great way to lose subscribers.

Why can't it just be a fun bike? not everything is some agenda against you.

@@Jon-gm9qd I think he is just tired of people shoving their "EV save planet" message everywhere. I know I am.
