I’m shocked to understand that those who were the companions to prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم lived through such horrible events e.g the killing of uthman رضى الله عنه the battle jamal, saffien, naharwan, karbala and the battle between Abdullah ibn subayr and the ummaydds when I read these horrible events it feels me with sadness.

  • @ahfauq

Yusuf Eid, please read my post again. It is not me who is blaming the sahaba, it is your sheikh who has been doing this throughout the series. To me, a lot of the reported history is suspect because it is all based on hearsay and because none of the historians (Ibn Ishaq, Ibn Hisham, Ibn Sad, Ibn Jarir Tabari etc) are the contemporaries of the people and events they wrote about. They are not direct or indirect witness to anything they mention. No, brother, it was not the "duty" of the Mother of the believers to gather forces and to fight against the incumbent caliph and make calls for "revenge". In my view, she didn't, because she was commanded to stay home by Allah and she wouldn't violate Allah' command. But the "Islamic history" tells us that she did fight against the incumbent caliph. I don't believe she did. If you care to read my post again, you will see my point a bit more clearly. Muslims were winning everywhere because must have been united. Civil unrest and unstable caliphate should have spelled doom...

So...that's I have been talking about for the past more than one year. If you look at what is popularly called "Islamic history", you feel your gorge rise and you feel your brain writhe! Those blessed sahaba killing each other with impunity, brutally murdering the bread-winners of poor families, even attacking and destroying the holiest of places and no one opposing them - all that just to grab power and take revenge! Not only that, our respected mother - whom Allah warned to stay home - takes her forces and leads the forces to fight against one of the most righteous companion! Subhanallah, or should I say "ma'azallah". If that was the real character of the "sahaba" and our venerable "Mother", then how come Islam survived and survived with dignity and grace? If there is that much civil unrest and mayhem left and right, no nation can ever thrive and prosper. That's for sure. So I guess the question should be "who wrote that infamous 'Islamic history'?" And who are those who believed in it hook, line , sinker? and, last kzread.info/dash/bejne/pI6CpqqIdbbXc5s.html So...that's I have been talking about all along. If you look at what is popularly called "Islamic history", you feel your gorge rise and you feel your brain writhe! Imagine those blessed Sahaba killing each other with impunity, brutally murdering the bread-winners of their own fellow brethren, even attacking and destroying the holiest of places ….. and no one opposing them - all that just to grab power and take revenge! Not only that, our respected mother Ayesha - whom Allah warned to stay home - takes her forces out and leads them to fight against one of the most righteous companions, Ali! The battle happens and thousands get brutally killed! Blessed Muslims killing blessed Muslims! Subhanallah, or should I say "ma'azallah". If that was the real character of the "sahaba" and our venerable Mother, then how come Islam survived - and survived with dignity and grace? If there is that much civil unrest and mayhem left and right, no nation can ever thrive and prosper. That's for sure. So I guess the question should be "Who wrote that infamous 'Islamic history'?" Were they direct witness to events what they wrote about? And who are those who believed in it hook, line, and sinker - without question? And, last of all, are those the same people Allah said that He was "pleased with them and they with Him"??? Subhanallah, I mean just think about it. Can that character be ever ascribed to the Sahaba??? If what “Islamic history” or Ibn Ishaq - describes is true, then that kind of killing and mayhem would have immediately spelled doom to the early Muslims and Islam - that is guaranteed by Allah's Law of Requital. But the fact is that Islam has ALWAYS been on the rise - right from Day 1. To me, it seems that those righteous bedwins, trained by the Messenger of Allah (sws) must have stuck together and defeated the two superpowers of the day - the Romans and the Persians. They were winners wherever they went and spread Islam quickly as a peaceful religion that bought peace and happiness in the lives of those who accepted it as a way of life. The human history doesn't remember Vikings, Mongols, Neros, Pharaohs, Hitlers, and Pol pots. Nobody gives a damn to them. Why, well, because those people were killers, rapists and worst violators of human rights. If our early Sahaba were like them, they would have been long forgotten. But, they were NOT forgotten. Allah gave them respect and kept them alive. So pleeeeeese, never trust the thing we call "Islamic history" because this history doesn't make sense at all. It defies common sense and ignores Allah’s immutable laws. I have a very strong feeling that this history was written by people who had some kind of evil agenda against the Prophet (sws) and Islam in the disguise of piety. Please read, refad and reflect upon and live by something that Allah preserved as a code of life -and that is the Glorious Qur'an, NOTHING ELSE. You will not find "Murder your opponents, desecrate the Ka'ba and the Prophet's mosque, loot the caravans, favor your relative in defiance of justice, attack the enemies and take their children and women as slaves, do not make your own living but just plunder and prey upon other people’s hard earned properties and wealth, stone the adulterers, execute the apostates....you will find NONE OF THAT NONSENSE in the Qur’an. I rest my case.

So... in other words you just want to blindly follow the Quran only in order to pretend that none of the history you mentioned above happened. You want an escape, basically. Probably your worst mistake was claiming that the fitan (trials, wars, etc) was because the companions wanted revenge and power - even claiming that this all apparently based their overall character. If you actually read the history on this you will find that this was not the case for all the tribulations that occured. The only case you can argue against would probably be Yazeed who is said to have killed Husayn ibn Ali (ra). But all other companions sincerely believed they were doing the right thing. Muawiya and Aisha thought they were doing the right thing on avenging the murderers of Uthman. Ibn zubair believed he had to fight against yazeed and his oppressive rule, etc. Yes, it led to a lot of oppression to come later on but that is just simply part of life. Allah never promises us that we will never face trials- even muslims (as we see during these tough times). Everyone who made ijtihad and were wrong will be awarded one good deed worth; and those who made ijtihad and made the right choice, they will be awarded two good deeds worth. "and Allah does not wrong people to the weight of (even) an atom" 4:40 also quranism has no basis so I suggest you find another way of solving your anger issues against the companions and the prophet's family. Thanks.

Also all scholars agreed that a women - even the prophet's wives - can go outside as long as they believe they need to or have a duty they need to accomplish, which is exactly what Aisha believed. So there is no sin upon her or any other women who does so.

that islam survives till now is despite (not because of) these fitan. just because they happened, there is nothing to say that islam would NOT survive. The ulama beholden to those bad rulers still promote aqidah, and ibadah. Politics is a separate thing altogether. We see this throughout islamic history: bad rulers during later ummayyads, abbasids and the ottomans still ensured mosques were built, zakat was collected etc etc. We see it in our islamic-majority societies today even! There is nothing about the presence of islam today that necessarily needs to shed doubt on these histories (that are corraborated across multiple sahabah mind you!).
