Heart bleeds for how much Ali(RA) had to endure. The people took advantage of his softness. However my gut feeling says if it was Umer(RA) in his place he could have have controlled the situation. But again Prophet(Peace and blessings be upon him) warned everyone about this fitna.

Assalamoalaikum Brother yasir qadhi, Can you please do a lecture on hazrat Muawiya RA, really wanted to know about his biography. Thanks, I have heard from a scholar that hazrat Muawiya RA and hazrat Ali RA had some ikhtalafaat in some issues.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) - 571 AD was 2 years older than the Abu Bakr (RA) - 573 AD.

Saed Muse Shaikh stated that Ali r.a. moved the capital to Kufa but I don’t know why.

@@Pamirola2007 Because soldiers who had come from Egypt were in control of Madina at that time. These were the same soldiers who had killed Caliph Othman and had suggested Ali as new Caliph. People of Madina wanted Ali to punish the killers of Othman but Ali was reluctant fearing that may cause bloodshed of Muslims in Madina. With local people not happy with Ali's decision and Egyptian soldiers in control on streets, Ali decided to move capital to Kufa as people of Kufa had shown their support to him.

@The bible myth buster Yes, that is true. After Ali shifted capital to Kufa, people in Madina felt that Ali is not interested in punishing the killers of Othman. So a group of Muslims which included Ayesha, Talha and Zubair with others went Kufa to pressurize Ali. It is said that there were successful negotiations between the leaders but the situation was so surcharged that lower rung soldiers started fighting anyway. Soon the battle spread and 1000's of Muslims were martyred on both sides. Ayesha's side conceded defeat and she never took to politics again her whole life.

Sahabi Baraa ibn Malik was the first man who did a suicide attack before that Maslama risked his life whilst killing the Jewish poet Kab ibn Ashraf

I believe that all group led by Ummul Muuminina Aisha were at wrong and Ali and his party were at truth, this should be said clearly!!
