Margo, you're not downsizing. You just want a different house. I kept yelling at the monitor that she needed to build her own house. Make the builders crazy with her lack of decision marking skills. So, she's bought a house to be renovated. Now she'll make the painters and decorators crazy, too. Poor Phil. He was a saint to keep his patience.

Seeing Kirstie tiptoeing away from that piece of work Margot was so satisfying. But I felt for Phil who couldn’t join her 😅🥲

Margot - she's a new swear word. What a nightmare she was and SO rude. The sweet couple were the absolute opposite, so glad they got their home and wish them every happiness. ❤

We got to me was the way she would smile as she was finding a flaw, complaining, blocking progress. That would drive me mad. It was as if she enjoyed wasting peoples time and being difficult and thought she was being cute. Of course people have the right to be hesitant or indecisive, but that smile…. made me shudder

What a nightmare for Phil, sorry Phil. Margo just wanted to be in a show and show the world her rudeness to everybody she's a curse to reckon with.

It could be just me but I'm starting to wonder how important having the ideal home really is. You can drive yourself and everyone around you insane searching for perfection for two years, as Margot does, or you can make a decision and get on with life.

From the comments I didn't think Margo settled on a house but she did. I wish her well with her DIY. Yes she was very particular. But I agreed with her on some of his houses. Why did Phil show her something that was so tiny when it was clear she wanted something big? She had a big enough budget. Sometimes these shows I think they find the houses they want to show off and then they look for buyers not the other way around. As for the young couple, I'm glad they found a home that suited them. I hope they have had nothing but blessings building their family. I always have a soft spot for childhood sweethearts and churchgoers. I think they are more at peace with the world. And the world needs more of them

Keep in mind, Margo said the first house was too big. Phill had to figure out what size she did want by showing her something smaller and gaging her reaction. She barely gave Phill any help.

Phil explained the simple, obvious solution to making the house smaller and keeping the car out of sight. I disagree about Phil and Kirstie prioritising houses over buyers' needs and tastes. There have been enough happy home buyers on this show to put that theory to rest.

Always surprised by people. Such a lovely home, guess I would have considered some beautiful stain glass for that room. Perhaps some custom made cafe curtains, they would still allow natural light and provide a distraction of the driveway issue she was so focused on. Best she found something else, that home deserved someone that would fully embrace living in it. Great job guys...

Margot is one of those people who never understood the importance of treating people the way you want to be treated. She really needs a humbling.

Margo was willing to compromise and buy a property with a north-east facing garden?!!! Madness, as the one thing you cannot change is a property's aspect and she would have had a dark, cold back of the house, where you spend most of the day cooking, eating, looking at the garden, etc. Yet she was not willing to make minor changes to achieve the kitchen/diner she wanted even though she had the space to do so. Which just goes to show that mean, overfussy people who think they're so clever can easily lose sight of the big picture and their most important requirement. I'm not impressed with the images of the house she chose for herself - very small windows, yuk! The property she viewed with Kirsty and Phil was amazing, she's a silly woman, her daughter seemed much smarter and practical.

It's the vendor I feel sorry for. 3 more viewings, builders quotes, the price she wanted....then she pulls out! Talk about wasting everybody's time 🙄

For the young couple, I would go for that property 1 as well. It was a new build, turnkey and beautiful. As for the older lady, that 1st property was the best out of all she saw. I would simply convert part of the living space back to a garage, turn the other part into a downstairs bedroom to go with the downstairs shower for guests.

I see what's happening with Margot. She's saved all this money and she's got it in her head that if someone doesn't present her with perfection wrapped in a bow -- a perfection she can't even define well -- they're ripping her off. She's wrong but good luck telling her so.

Finally, we can stop using the name Karen - and use a most worthy name - Margot 😂.

As far as I think about house buying its first important factor in a house is price, than heart.

Concerned about the young couple getting to Warrington for work. Depending on the hours, traffic queues is a total nightmare. As for Margo, I think creating and designing her own nest is just perfect for her.

Why not give credit where it's due...Margot recognized that to get all she wanted, she needed to have a hand in it, so opted for the fixer-upper. Deal done. The young couple allowed themselves to be guided despite the addiction to spreadsheet data, and got what they said they wanted. So, yes - Phil's time was largely wasted, but Kirstie did her usual "thing" and the formula worked for her clients. Win one, lose one.

I dont get it with the single lady! She want to buy a house for her own but she has a partner? Huh? O, and 3 bedrooms, a garage, and, and, and…… Crazy!

People need to sketch out their dream home. How it flows and the numbers of rooms. The scale is not the criteria but the layout.
