Liver (anatomy) - love your liver
Ғылым және технология
We've been rummaging around in the abdomen so let's have a look at the anatomy of the liver - lobes, ligaments, cells, histology, blood vessels, a little about the functions of the liver, embryology, a brief nod towards portosystemic anastomoses, and no doubt a bunch of other stuff.
Extra Brownie points if you get all the way to the end of this video.

Honestly, you are amongst the best teachers I have ever seen in my 40 years. I love to learn from you here, it's a wonderful thing, not slavish in the least, or a chore-just thoroughly interesting. You can have all the interesting information in the world, but without a good teacher, you have nothing at all-it's in the communication, which you have mastered. Impressive beyond expectations, thank you for your knowledge and the sound(Exceedingly so) impartation of it. Just amazing :)

Without touching a marker or a pen, a paper or a board, a ppt or a diagram, you explain anatomy is such an incredible way js by using a model.. seriously u r beyond amazing. Hats off to you sir. 🙏 Pls Never leave KZread. Make as much videos as u can. I m your huge fan.
Dear Mr Webster, I wanted to say a massive thank you! I'm using your videos to revise anatomy for a specialty exam and think they are the most fun, memorable and well-taught anatomy videos on KZread. Keep up the good work!
I LOVE you. You are SO helpful and entertaining. Even better all the models you use are the same model's I use in my lab. THANK YOU.
Very good! I think it is amazing the way you can explain the subjects, especially because you integrate the body systems dynamically, and not separate them in different "boxes". Fantastic!
Your videos have been very helpful in getting me to understand a lot despite how short a time I've been following you. Thanks a lot and please don't stop.

Three years ago I was discontinued from Med School and I thought my life was over...since I discovered teacher Sam...my hope has been restored...long live Sam Webster!
Sam, you are amazing. I love your enthusiasm! It is so refreshing.
Thanks so much for your love of what you do as it translates well into learning one can take away. Lucky are your students and your university. My wife is a college prof as well and instantly recognized your gifts( without seeing my computer screen, she was drawn from across the room at the sound of the enthusiasm in your sharing! We Came here looking to better understand the pieces in the puzzle of Metal poisoning as my physician and I work through a healing process. This gave me solid understanding of the "physical map" of the area, provided some sense of processes, and also provided a few terms (stercobilin) I can relate to as I am reporting color among other things in a daily journal. Thank you again for sharing your twin loves of knowledge and its sharing.
I was looking for someone explain anatomy like u... really thank u😍😍❤️

I'm not a university student of anatomy, but I love that you can help me be a student of anatomy for my own personal interest. Awesome videos! Thanks for teaching me. I'll have to watch them 70 times over, as my memory is not my strong point, but that's ok. One day it might all eventually sink in.... Stitch - I find it subsides if you take deep controlled breaths. Dunno why, but it works for me.

Your a BRILLIANT Teacher.. Thank you very much ...
You're quite the comedian. I love your videos. You're extremely smart. That's cool. Nothing like a good teacher. Thanks.
Thank you so much for the amazing explanations sir❤
You are so brilliant in your work, thank you so much, well wishes for you 😊😊
Phenomenal. In medical schooI thought anatomy was just something to mindlessly memorise. You Sir are gifted 👌
You are BRILLIANT! THANK YOU!
Very well explained thanks dr Sam
so helpful great video
You, Sir are a very excellent teacher.
Thank you so much!!!,I was really confused about this topic, especially the ligament of the liver, but you really made me understand it well, thank you 😳😳👍
Thank you for your explanation and clear spellings of descriptions. I am alarmed by some of the comments from medical students below. Guess they learn lots on the job. But remember patients are not lab rats and in the knowledge economy it is relatively easy for intelligent people to grasp the basics, even though they have not been medical students themselves. Some patients have enquiring and curious minds. I do not like poor quality student medics of any denomination. It is often reassuring to recognise the better medics. Thank you for your video, most illuminating Dr Sam.
I Iove you, I think you are an amazing teacher and your students are blessed to have you♥️
Hey Sam, Just found your channel, so interesting. Thanks for putting this out there. I've got quite a lot of facial discolouration (it's significantly darker than the rest of my body barring my hands) any idea how I could it back down to my normal skin tone? I don't live in a particularly sunny place so I know that's not the cause....
Incredible Video!
I love you teaching style you have make anatomy interesting
Love you for what you're sharing......... God Bless!!
I love the way you teach 🥺
nice lecture. loved the part you talked about the pain one get after running and how you associated it with the liver and diaphragm but in my school our lectures say its the gall bladder which is still nervated by the rt phrenic nerve. but may here in kenya we got it wrong. just wanted to sure my opinion
Tks for video & lecture
Interesting thanks for sharing this information.
Your teaching skill is awsm
Nicely done sir. Thank you. Great
Learnt a lot from this video. thank you so much~
SAM SIR ,,your videos are so amazing.. this will help me to solve lot of problems like, imagination and make better to understand the concepts . thank you so much sir ..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow am fearfully and wonderfully made. Thank you Dr
Oh my gosh...You are so smart and I enjoyed this video.
Oooooohhh. Thank you. I shall have to check if I still get stitch running (running=not my favourite occupation) after losing 1/2 liver (someone nicked it whilst I wasn't looking). Also explains why it's taken me ages to get my breathing sorted! I'm pretty certain I felt/experienced either rupture of falciform ligament or it's splitting from the diaphragm with tumour growth....certainly created a panic at the medical consultation I was having at the time when I mentioned it.
