Live with LAFD: Task Force 39 Training - Part 3
During their scheduled training time on April 14, 2020, Task Force 39 drove down to Fire Station 58 to use their training tower in the back. This third training evolution goes through a simulation of an aerial ladder operation as it would be conducted on a structure fire for accessing the roof. Firefighter Margaret Stewart films and narrates while TF39 runs through their third drill of the day, answering your live questions along the way.

Los Angeles City Fire Department does have certified rescue dogs. They are FEMA certified and they do go out on different rescue operations throughout the United States when called out. Firefighters in the City of Los Angeles have the dogs and they train with the dogs in different exercises.
Good job, Margaret ....well done
how many taskforce houses are there in the city
How about coming over to the LAFD Museum, Old Station 27, next to new 27s and do a walk through with one of our docents about the long and heroic history of LAFD. I know we are closed to the public right now but we could have someone meet you there. We normally are open every Saturday at no charge to the visitors but due to the C19 and the age of some of our docents, we are closed for safety reasons.
Question, what is the purpose of the webbing strap attach to the tip of the aerial ladder? Thank you

It's used to help with alignment when bedding the ladder back onto the truck. Thanks for your question!
