Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Part of homemaking is providing good foods for ourselves and our families. The traditional Italian diet has been touted as one of the healthiest in the world and here we'll explore some common ingredients of Italian cuisine that are easy to work into your diet to reap the health benefits. I show a unique way to use basil as well as showcasing some of the ingredients to make a deliciously easy, nutrient dense salad for a simple lunch or side dish
I accessed a number of studies to present the information here, though I am not a health professional and encourage you to do your own research :)

Thank you so much! Hubby had colon cancer almost 5 yrs ago. I told him we are getting a coffee machine and he is going to start drinking! I had to keep pausing to get the ingredients written down for that delicious salad at the end, but I just know it was worth it.

My last batch of garlic from Costco came from Argentina, good enough, but lots of small cloves. I used my silicone plastic tube to peel them but still struggled. I freeze the peeled cloves as well as roast a couple of whole bulbs for the freezer as well

Olive oil is a great dip/spread for bread, too. My two favorite are 1:1 olive oil and apple cider vinegar (with the "mother"), and olive oil with za'tar. You can toast an English muffin/toaster biscuit and dip in the mixture, drizzle it on top, or I'll put some in a shallow dish and lay the toasted muffin face down in it for even coverage.

Hi Lisa. It was so interesting to hear you speak 🗣️ of the health benifits of Coffee. I make a Keto sweetened allowed, coffee latte daily, in the Vitamix machine. After you posted that Delish Tiramisu recipe, for me, I found a Tiramisu Coffee Latte recipe online. Wowzo! Yummy 😋 sounding! I also found a Keto recipe to make Keto allowed Lady Fingers, from scratch. Smile. 😊 Thank you for this healthy foods info. Cali Lady.

Very interesting. My maternal grandparents were Italian and came to the USA. I'm growing three cherry tomato plants this year, which I never do. Could you do a video about canning or freezing tomatoes for the winter? I don't know whether that would have wide appeal, though. I love southern Italian food with the tomatoes, and probably the Americanized versions of them. My relatives were all southern Italian except for Tony, who had married an aunt. He was always referred to as TonyHe'sNorthernItalian at family gatherings.

A good thing to look for is something that says extra virgin in a dark glass bottle …some brands like Berio are a blend with other lesser quality oils and say something to the effect of “light taste” oil

Most of the time I use Gallo but as long as the bottle says extra virgin olive oil and it's in a dark glass bottle, it should be a decent quality product. Some olive oils say "light tasting" in a clear plastic container and those ones are usually blends with lesser quality oils :)
