    There was one of our Electric-powered mini-Jetters on the floor near me, being fed water from the shower line. However, it is super common to bring a leader-hose thru the house from a larger jetter outside -- in fact a more and more techs are using a "clean hose" (that never sees a sewer) specifically for these applications to carry the high-pressure water from the jetter outside to the jetting-hose to be used inside

    As far as getting through the trap, the Knucklehead is the best I've tried. When the nozzle goes vertical and into the last sharp 90 the knuckles droop which helps it get through. May hang up on some, but I've not found a more consistent head to get through the tough turns

    with a knucklehead and a dedicated hose used only for culinary lines, could you remove a kitchen tap and jet clean down through a galvanized water supply pipe found in older homes?

  • @JETTERSnorthwest

    I'm not sure about the cross-connection liability, but if the nozzle will fit in the line then you could jet it. However, the nozzle/hose likely will not pass the sharp 90-degree elbows

    I've never tried that but I think it would. However, this is a small hose and small nozzle targeted to 3" and smaller lines (best application is 1.5" to 2") so even after getting thru a toilet-trap it's not ideal for cleaning the 4" sewer downstream of the toilet due to the lack of water-flow

    Would this work for a urinal without taking it off the wall?

  • @JETTERSnorthwest

    @JETTERSnorthwest

    10 ай бұрын

    Depends on the design of the urinal's flow path; we have customers that do get it thru a urinal's S-trap, but not other types that have the squared-off flow-path, or don't have a good entry-point

  • @JETTERSnorthwest

    @JETTERSnorthwest

    Urinals are fickle as you know - it depends on the design. If the urinal/drain has a smooth/bending flow-path then the nozzle+hose can typically be worked thru the pipe's curves, but if the urinal has a blocky flow-path then the nozzle likely will hit a "road-block" and you'll have to pull it

    I hear you - but the video is really intended to show that the Nozzle and Hose can get through small P-traps -- especially Floor-Drains -- if it can get thru a small sink-trap then it'll get thru other P-traps. Also, many drain-cleaners don't want to disassemble old metal traps as they can fracture when you put the wrenching to them as you know. Sorry for the slow reply - thanks for commenting!

    Thanks for your reply - I hear you - but the message is more about jetting the sewer-line beyond the sink-trap, without having to take the time to disassemble the trap. The last time I disassembled an old metal trap it fell apart when i put wrenches to it, so this is a way to avoid adding to the problem while still cleaning the sewer, and cleaning the trap is a bonus
