Live and Let Die Baron Samedi Figure Review
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Big Chief Studios releases their next wave of collectibles, and this time they pay homage to Live And Let Die! In this video we focus on the Baron Samedi figure and review the details, packaging, and experience of this officially licensed James Bond Character Replica Figure. My apologies on a mistake I made in the video....Mr Holder passed away in 2014.

I know they will never do it, but what I would give for a Sheriff JW Pepper figure; complete with uniform, standard state police equipment, tobacco tin, and bonus elephant from Thailand.
Best. Unboxings. Ever. Your unboxings are so much fun to watch, David, because you have a knack for communicating your enthusiasm to your viewers in an unpretentious, genuinely appreciative way that is infectious. (Can we use that word in a positive way anymore?) And you bring your keen knowledge of sartorial and prop detail as well as general scholarship of the Bond series to bear on your thorough evaluation of each product, be it wrist-watch, clothing, fragrance, prop replica or collectible figure, etc. And I often find myself thinking "That's exactly what I would've said about that". As of now the only Big Chief figures I have are the amazing 3-piece 'Goldfinger' collection -- a must-have for me as that is my favorite Bond film along with 'Casino' and 'OHMSS'. But I hope to collect more (and Moore!) as finances permit, 'cause these beauties ain't cheap!
Baron Samedi is definitely one of my favorite villains from the James Bond films. Geoffrey Holder is also from my homeland, the beautiful Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. He was an Amazing guy, RIP my friend. Awesome review David, keep up the good work.
Very tempted to pick this one up. I have the entire SIDESHOW COLLECTIBLES 1/6th Bond line including Live and Let Die's Roger Moore and Tee Hee (Julius Harris) so this would look great with them. Nice review.
I just found this video (better late than never I suppose). He was always one of my favorite Bond villians. Amazing figure. I wish they would have made one of him in his black outfit with the scull paint.
Been out in the sun David? You need some of the Q Branch Sun Screen. Great video btw!
You’ve turned into a poet...some great descriptions. Really good video. I’ve never been more jealous as I really hope to collect all of these to put in my library eventually. Thanks.
Very good as always David can’t wait to see more of your upcoming videos
Wow awesome
I just wish that they did more Bond figures villians/characters in their collection
Wonderful intro
Looks spectacular but right now we are all quarantined home and unemployed so definitely not in the cards lol! Amazing and beautifully detailed figure of one of the most memorable and iconic characters in Bond history!
Great review David! I love collecting these ,It’s a win win for me because my wife likes these as well , she asked me why don’t you have any of the Bond girls I said I don’t know maybe I should invest 😄 so I ordered Solitaire! 😄💁🏻♂️
That figure is amazing. The detail is unbelievable 😎😎😎
Excellent video! I wonder if they had to hold back on the props beause it is costly to make a figure whith so much visible skin. Sculpting muscles, and make it look real may be a big job. Just guessing. Looking forward to part 3!
Nailed the beginning👍. Where can I find these figurines.
Dave you made a mistake in the video, Geoffrey passed 6 years ago.

You are absolutely correct. I just made a note of it in the description section. Thank you for the correction.

Met him in a bookstore once and he was an absolute delight. Strangely, though, he asked me how to spell "cat". Didn't know what to make of that as he was an obviously cultured guy. Odd.
My favourite Sir Roger movie as Bond. Baron Samedi is one of my favourite Bond villains because he has an almost supernatural presence in the film. I always felt the character could have had a spinoff movie of his own....
Nice catch! could have been disastrous lol
The machete? You forget that it was included with the Live And Let Die Roger Moore figure so I guess it would be interchangeable between the two characters. By the way, Excellent vid as always! BTW, Big Chief studios is based in my home town here in England...just thought I’d drop that in...
That's a badass shirt!
001st. The packaging just shouts quality. This character did scare me a bit as a kid. I'd imagine all the Bonds will be recreated in this range of figures...hopefully👍
So, I feel like, for a toy that is almost $300, this figure is a bit lacking. The articulation is not as good as Hot Toys (which aren't necessarily the most articulate figures ), and what little clothing he has looks very cheap. Look, I understand Big Chief Studios is not as big a company as Hot Toys, and the face sculpt... What more can I say.. the face sculpts are FANTASTIC. But the real question is.. IS this a $300 toy? (and getting one by the posting of this comment is going to be at least $300, if you're factoring in taxes, for example) I'm ...honestly not sure. What do you think?
Where did you get this Shirt?

Klaus Hergersheimer Get back to checking radiation shields!
Is there not a machete with the Roger Moore figure? If so, and if there was only One machete in the film, perhaps it was a decision to include that prop with only one of the figures...? Otherwise, cracking video and review.
Collectible figure ... not doll 😂😂
