The tornado that hit Amory and Smithville almost hit where I was at in Marion County. We did take cover, but thankfully the main circulation went to my west and all of my family and I were safe. Always #RespectThePolygon

4:28 that’s an F5 Tornado no doubt about it. Wow that’s a 230 mph measurement. God I hope everyone is safe. Not many people I would trust with my life. But I trust Mr James Spann

Do these kind of winds always come with a tornado? I’m 55 years old and have not seen this kind of wind before a storm. 80 and 90 miles an hour. It’s just unreal it seems.

Yes, very much so! Depending on the severity of the storm, the winds can go slower or faster. If there is a tornado, the winds can go 200+ mph and cause complete destruction.

My dear home town of Amory will never be the same 😪. @4:30, Mr. Spann said didn't know if he had seen this velocity before and he's been in the game for decades upon decades! The roar came and went in a minute at 11pm 03/24/2023. Only by the grace of God that my home remained in tact and in the dry as we sheltered in the underground cinderblock storm house. So many were less fortunate.. Great job as always to James Spann and meterologist in Tupelo and Columbus as well. Amory 2.0 is on the rise! #amorystrong
