Where the girl get a CEO husband and then acts real slow when building a relationship with them.

If you read Louisa's letter exchange with her publisher she was the one who came up with all the marriages. Friedrichs character in little women is based on philosopher Henry Thoreau Louisa was in love with him. Laurie is based on Ladislas Wisniewski a young man who was first flirting with Louisa and then betrayed him. In all of Louisa's novels these two male archetypes are constantly present. The Friedrich archetype is the humble hard working man (Fritz in lw, Mac in Rose in Bloom, David in Work) He has silent passion for the protagonist and the Louisa type of protagonist loves him and wants that equal relationship. Laurie archetype is charming but idle. He either puts his act together and falls for a female character (like Amy) who is stern with them or they fail and fet sucked into consuming toxic self-harming behavior. Little Women is all about Louisa's love life. That is why she had conflicted relationship towards it. Henry was 16 years older (same age difference than between Louisa and the professor) Ladislas was 10 years younger. Louisa and Henry, They did have an affair and almost a telepathic way of communication which is also present in the novels. Henry passed away 5years before LW was published. That is also why Louisa listed out to be nurse in the war. He had lost her sister Lizzie at the same time.

Louisa M Alcott based Little Women on her own life so in a way she did show ‘Laurie’ that letter by writing about it in her book. So the real Laurie found out she changed her mind I wonder what he thought. That’s an interesting move on her part...

This show is so good with the little details, when they are looking through the window to Meg and he says how pretty she is, looking at Jo and she smiles not even having a clue that he is talking about her. So simple yet it adds so much for their development. Really a masterpiece of a scene.

*Jo:* **bumps into Laurie** *Jo:* oh sorry u don't know anyone was here. *Laurie:* not at all. Stay if you'd like. *Jo:* I won't disturb you? *Laurie:* No I don't know many people here I felt rather strange at first *Jo:* Yeah me too *Laurie:* Ms. March is it? *Jo:* Yes but I'm not Ms. March I'm only Jo *Laurie:* And I'm not Mr Laurence I'm only Laurie *Jo:* Don't you dance? *Laurie:*I don't know how you do things here yet see I've spent most of my life in Europe *Jo:* Europe oh that's capital! I shouldn't use words like that. *Laurie:* Says who *Jo:* Oh Meg she's my older sister. Here. **Shows Laurie** *Jo:* Oh that's her, see? The girl in the violet dress. *Laurie:* Hmm very pretty *Jo:* She reminds me to be good so father will be proud of me when he returns *Laurie:* Where is he? *Jo:* Volunteer for the union army and I wanted to go right with him. I can't get over my dissapointed in being a girl *Laurie:* Jo would you like to dance with me *Jo:* I can't because... *Laurie:* Because of what? *Jo:* You won't tell? *Laurie:* Never. *Jo:* I scorched my dress, see? There. And Meg told me to keep still so no one would see it. You can laugh if you want to it's funny I know *Laurie:* I have an idea of how we can manage.

Even as an adult, and I have read the book Little Women and seen the 1994 version many times. I knew when I first saw this movie, that Jo and Laurie would not have ended up together. I have understood why they didn't end up together and they were better off as friends. Yet when I first saw this movie, it brought me back to 8th grade, when my teacher read the first part of the book and later watch the movie, it brought me back to how heartbroken I was when Laurie and Jo didn't end up together. Saorise and Timothee made me fall in love again with Laurie and Jo. They have great chemistry, to the point how could I not ship Jo and Laurie. I could understand why many ppl do get upset when Laurie and Jo didn't end up together since I notice in many of the versions of Little Women, Jo and Laurie have amazing chemistry.
