Hello Renee, i live in East Yorkshire not too far from Goole in the UK where Chris lives, who was requesting information of the First World War.. If i find anything i will pass it on.. Thank you 😄 I love your channel and love old Antiquities, i guess we all get something passed down through the family.. Today was nice that you had gifts sent in and you shared them with us, some good old bits and bobs and the lovely Tree all from kind generous people. ❤

I bought a large post card collection at an estate sale. There were such a wide variety of types from 1890s to 1960s. The photo post cards were some of the strongest sellers. You get some substantial gifts from your viewers. Love mail day videos.

Photo postcards are definitely good sellers. The people & places that were captured are what made them so unique 🙂

At the time I has zero knowledge about what post cards were popular/valuable and which weren't. I sold them in bulk batches of similar age/design/topic and did really well. The most valuable things in the box though were some old baseball cards that featured Cleveland Indians and had been sold in bags of Dan-Dee potato chips in 1954. I sold 7 cards for over $600, way more than I made on the post cards.@@PaperandMoose

Awesome, generous and very thoughtful gifts, as always. Hope that better weather will come soon so that you can start your flea market activities again. I found tons of offers about Goole, Yorkshire, on ebay Germany, mostly old postcards and tokens, some with reference to WWI. And: most of the vendors came from the UK. So, if viewer Chris didn´t already, he might take a look. Have a wonderful Wednesday, and see you on the next one !Greets from GER, U.

His favorite Dennison thingies are binder hole reinforcements.😂😂

You are so delightful. You appreciate the lovely things in life. So many beautiful things most people pass over. I love Yellowstone and Yosemite is beautiful as well. The beauty in these national parks are just stunning. When I lived on the reservation, we had Buffalo in our backyard. Of course they were fenced, but they had acres and acres from roam. They are magnificent beasts. Enjoy your treasures. It’s so delightful that someone else gets out of these wonderful treasures.

When I first came to NC with my wife (to be) - her mother served us a jello salad with fruit in it. They call it "congealed salad." It's actually very good but it took me a while to get over the name. Those little boxes are great - they are definitely art. I kept expecting you to pull out those gummed circles to repair loose leaf paper holes in binders. I think I kept 3M in business through high school and college, buying those (what do you call "rubber bands" in Central NJ? My Pittsburgh cousins call them "gum bands.") Nice tinsel tree - I think there should be a movement to bring tinsel & garland back. Along with multi-colored lights on the tree (larger bulbs) - everything these days seems to be bright white & LED. I've never collected post cards but I love finding some now and again that have funny messages on the back. Hope the rain holds off for the FM. Looks like we have scattered rain through the weekend here. Have a tremendous Wednesday afternoon & thanks for the mail day video!

Sortquik is awesome for sorting money but I also learned a lil trick decades ago and that is to dip my beading needle into it before loading beads on the needle......this keeps the beads on the needle as I work on a bead-weaving project. It's wonderful help and does not damage the finish on the beads (even the old school color-lined ones). The name Flossie was commonly a nickname for folks named Florence or Francis for example.

Out here in the S.F. Bay Area...our "Winter Summer" is starting...May Gray and June Gloom! The fog horns will be in concert! I remember those stamped steel Band Aid boxes. We had Brooks Stationery Store...the sold everything from school supplies to 78 records...I bought out his entire stock of those records when the store closed in 1968, as well as a collection of vintage Smith-Miller toy trucks...which I still have. That Mart. building was owned by the Kennedy Family. Still on the lookout for items to send your way...things are slim out here, these days!

We’ve had May Rain… hopefully June turns out better! Though it finally looks like dry weather is on the horizon. To buy out the contents of an old stationary store is what dreams are made of! I’m headed to an estate sale tomorrow, looks like they kept everything for years, so I’m hopeful!
