He is Bill Dauterive in a way.

teddy is a refreshing take on the "loser guy" trope. it's obvious he's inspired by characters like bill dauterive but despite his sad stories and being divorced, teddy seems like a great guy. he never gives me the creeps and seems to be doing great and has a positive outlook on life. and i know he's fictional, but i kinda wish he gets proper therapy so he can be fully happy and that the show continues to bring back kathleen and have him be like an adoptive uncle to the belchers. teddy rant over, i love this man so much

It's implied in Uncle Teddy that he does see a therapist on a regular basis. So that's good. Really he needs more outlets aside from hanging out at the restaurant. A social larger social group would do him some good.

Bob's burgers is a great show, it has so much positivity. Even Jimmy Pesto and Hugo have redeeming qualities. Teddy is a big teddy bear. He is so sweet.

Teddy is that sweet bigger man that makes you feel comfortable and also wanna wing man for him cause even if he’s weird he would be an amazingly supportive loving partner. His character is a testament to society’s shallow side. A great man, below average looks, who remains positive to all those around him even if people don’t recognize or celebrate him being himself.

Teddy used to be so handsome and confident. That damn shark ruined his life!

I think it might be undiagnosed anxiety issues. In addition to this, he ends up feeling overwhelmed by the simplest of tasks if even a little bit of pressure is put on him and it ends with him feeling like garbage afterwards.

Teddy is a great character. You laugh and feel bad for him at the same time.

Teddy's life sounds so sad, and yet he's one of the best characters on the show 👏👏👏

why is the only Teddy compilation I can find on KZread is just Sad things.... I mean it kinda fits that it is the only one I have found so that makes it even more sad BUT TEDDY DESERVES A "best of" compilation or "teddy being bob's best friend for 13 seasons and one movie long" I've seen multiple side character compilations but almost zero of the best non-belcher main character

The lil smile from Bob after he reveals the sponge to teddy is so evil yet so joyous. Like almost Clockwork Orange of him

Teddy with the kids bikes in his garage and him singing about wishing his truck had a radio are my favorite Teddy bits.

This last one always makes me a little sad: watching Teddy slowly go insane the way Jack Nicholson did in The Shining. I know arthritis hurts and all but I really don't want to lose my mind before I die, that would be terrible.

The episode about his hoarding problem is genuinely such an emotional one 😭

10/10 would seriously date Teddy. He seems like a basically good person who'd be an upbeat and capable partner; at the very least, he would do wonders with all those annoying home upkeep jobs I don't know how to do, like putting sealant on the roof dormer leak, fixing a door that isn't hanging straight, etc. etc. etc.
