@@inmyrestlessdms it makes me really sad. I used to live there and moved in 2019, I haven't been back since, but everyone who has visited or has family there tells me how much worse it's gotten. It still has a special place in my heart and I still want to visit, but it's just upsetting.

"Campachuchu Chuchu Tea" makes me laugh way to hard. The brilliance of this show is it's both satirizing and celebrating it's subject material at the same time.
Portlandia is a show that was well written. I just started watching the first season in its entirety, and I’m so glad I am. I enjoy the chemistry between Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen, and the guest stars on Portlandia are really good.
I forgot how funny these were. They really delivered something special and perfect.
The dream of the 90s is no longer alive in Portland.

In The US people are conditioned to not look at the people who control our lives but instead to blame ourselves and others. Why so many Homeless in the richest country in the world. I live in a country that is much poorer yet we have almost no homeless people.
This is the Portland I miss. RIP PDX.

Boss it’s honestly tragic in Portland as of 4/13/2024 watch just a couple episodes per season then google Portland as of 2024; or compare Portland 4/13/2024 to 4/13/2011 if you dwell on it too long though it’ll hurt your heart

Namaste, Portlandia! I just bought Carrie’s autobiography “Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl,” and I am so in love with the absolute genius of Fred Armisen and Carrie. No other comedy has ever fires off all my sparkly synapses like this since I was first introduced to Monty Python. You two are an absolute gift. I love how this show was the perfect mix of making me laugh and the being uncomfortable and then both.

I lived in Portland for ~2 years. This series got it right.
All of Carry Brownstein's wigs and hair for her different characters is what made the show, and the passive aggressive Oops, my bad delivery is very PNW. 😂🤣 The reusable bag sketch was my favorite. It's not just Portland they're lampooning, it's any major progressive city with absurd laws and ideologies. I call this the Portland effect. The whole U.S. became Portland in the 2020's. 🤣😂
Looking back it's crazy that this show was basically the "funs over!" announcement that the Portland art weirdo scene has peaked. Now? Be a rich IT guy in Portland or leave.

I lived in Portland in the 90s. It was pretty much Haight Ashbury with a goth twist. Visited back there a few years ago. Sad. . .when they started having "keep Portland weird" bumper stickers and t-shirts I knew it was all over. Also the McDonald's on Hawthorne plus a Ben and Jerry's. Wish I could time travel back to 90s Portland and Seattle! Way better music for one!

I can relate to every episode mocking today world.😅😂. I grew up in a very far surburban neighborhood out outside of Chicago. I hung out and lived with individuals portrayed on the videos. I love the two actors. they're the BEST 👌 👍. IM TAKING MY DAY OFF AS I CLEAN, listening and watching all the episodes up loaded. Chicago love
My favorite episodes were with Jeff Goldblum as a Lace salesman. And the episode whereon Fred and Carrie were NPR reporters

In case you don't know, Sam Adams, the guy playing the Mayor's assistant, was the real Portland Mayor at that time. I believe the city hall scenes were filmed in his actual office (can anybody verify?)

Portlandia holds up well and was a warning of what the future of America and college campuses would look like. I call it the Portland effect.
