I think they cut the tv eye because -gameplay is very basic not different from the eyes in ln1 -it would answer the question of what happens to viewers and why there’s so many clothes. They probably wanted that to be left to interpretation

If i remember, someone said that the developers where originally going to make the hunter do more things in the wilderness. Like the teacher in the science room for example, and will apparently have a knife or will use his hands to capture you like in little nightmares

The “Food Lady” works within the cafeteria of the Pale City school. As her name suggests, her purpose is to serve food to the many porcelain children, allowing for the Food Lady to act as a secondary authority figure over them and any other children that pass through the school- while the Teacher is elsewhere within the building. At some point, the Food Lady was trapped within the school freezer and froze to death. It is unknown who is responsible, though a glitching child can be seen besides the Food Lady’s body. It is possible that the porcelain children locked her within the freezer, as they are incredibly cruel.

Well, if they make a dlc for little nightmares 2, they could have is when you play as a kid in the pale city before mono or six get there, and you go through different parts, like you first go to the school, and instead of seeing the teacher, the food lady will be there, because after you go through the part with all the porcelain children in the cafeteria, you meet the teacher again, this part most likely was where you would meet the food lady before she was cut out, well, back to my idea. Well, maybe you do a part with the food lady like with the chefs in the last game, then at the end, you would trap her in a freezer, and kill her. And maybe you could encounter the principle, then, after the school, you could go through a barber shop and find the man that people call “The Barber”, and maybe your on a mission to find the baker, who is the show the viewers are watching, and you go to try to shut it down, and like the last dlc, they could tease a third game at the end, if they ever will make one.

I feel like the unused Hunter theme would be for their pet (if they had one-) and the chorus choir song would have fit in with Six being dragged by Mono to the Signal Tower (and maybe that’s when the Thin Man came, picked them two up after they got unconscious and brought them to that “interrogation” room in the concept art book-). 🤔

So sad to see all this cut content, some of it looked like it would have been great to see. Some of the stuff I can look at think "Yeah I can see why that was cut, that doesn't exactly fit with the game very well", but then there are others where I'm like damn that's a real shame that was cut. Like the surveillance eye in the TV, that would have been a nice call back the the security eyes from the first game but it might have spoiled the reveal of the goop monster at the end of the game so that cut makes sense. Who knows, maybe it will be added back for a DLC since it's inclusion wouldn't spoil the eyes in the Tower because the player would have already beaten the game when playing the DLC. Sad the original Tower view was cut, don't get me wrong, the view of the tower we get in the game instead is still impressive and cool but I quite liked the original one that appeared in the announcement trailer. Now I feel like it's quite tragic for the hunter because it looked like his level was going to include way more than it did in the final game, I feel like a lot of the stuff that was cut could have fleshed out his character and level a bit more. I loved the wilderness level and am quite sad that it was one of the shorter levels in the game, it looks like that had a lot of stuff planned for it. Mono's original dream I feel like would have been cool, seeing the Thin Man in his dream would have mirrored Six's dream of the Lady at the beginning of the first game. Plus I feel like seeing the tower in the dream would have been great because it's actually quite late into the game when we finally see the tower, which I feel like is a little odd because the Tower is referenced so much in all the promotional material but it's quite late in the game when we actually get to see the tower. Maybe we'll see some of this stuff again in a possible DLC, I'm under the impression that the devs recycled some cut content from the first game for the Secrets of the Maw DLC. SO who knows, they, or whoever is working on future LN content, might give some of this stuff a second chance.

Great video! I wonder why they cut out so much stuff, some of the unused content looked very thought out and would have made the game longer. But I get it if they didn’t have enough time/money, or it wasn’t necessary for the story.

Usually concept stuff is decided on as a group or how each section of the story would be mood/emotional-wise, but also how the render distance/loading would be affected (if add in too much the game will crash or bug itself, has to be the right amount) as well as how many glitches can you not make happen for someone- XD

@@Crispy-Chips The current DLC for the game is helping the Gnome find its way out of the house from the attic (where then you get the Gnome hat); however with Tarsier Studios going away, Bandai Namco could very well have a new company that makes more DLC's like you stated: one for the boy with the lollipop, the spoon girl, and the ghost kid (the one with the bandages...probably not since his tale was short lived in the new comics). Though they could also not have any out...and make a whole "mini" game with the kids featured in LN2 comics. Just some thoughts :3

Hopefully some of this will be introduced in DLC. I feel like their scope was too big for this game at first and adding everything they wanted would have been a difficult undertaking if they were to include everything in a way that made sense story progression wise. In the DLC we could play as Six before she met Mono and was kidnapped by the Hunter, it could tell the story of her survival in the Pale City and introduce us to new creatures of the Pale City. Or it could tell the story of her on the way to the Maw and it could explain to us how she got there, either way a lot of these cut features would make sense. The one thing I'm really disappointed wasn't in the final game is the TV eyes, that looked creepy as hell!

4:17 hey! This actually appears in the game as a portrait in the school! Excepted it’s cropped to show a bit of the hospital bed with the kid in the center. People theorize that this kid could be mono, and that the game actually is mono’s nightmare about being alone.

3:54 "didn't make the CUT."

I actually found some files that were not in the game. It was a cut death animation where the Teacher spanks you with a ruler. I tried getting that death animation in the final game, but yet. I can’t get that death animation so I assume that it’s cut death animation.

My analysis on the Barber, who is definitely an interesting character. We have seen his portrait within one of the corridors of the Pale City school and within the residential quarters of the Governess, meaning the Barber has some sort of relationship with the Governess. This may indicate that he is a rather influential figure within the Pale City. Similar to how both the Teacher and Doctor have their portraits featured in the residential quarters of the Maw and are incredibly impactful within the Pale City. The Barber owns his own barber shop which is located somewhere within Pale City. The inside is quite well-kept, which is in complete contrast with the many dilapidated apartment complexes that surround him. The Barber seems incredibly sadistic towards children, as he attempts to kill any within sight with his hair-cutting scissors. Though this is common among most adults.

The Baker is a cut-character from Little Nightmares 2, though he does make a brief appearance within the Little Nightmares 2 comics. The Baker operates within a television studio within the Pale City, allowing for his show to be broadcasted through the use of the Signal Tower’s transmission. In the concept artwork, the Baker is an incredibly tall figure, though that is common among most adults. He dresses in a long-sleeved white shirt and teal apron. There is nothing incredibly abnormal about his physical appearance, other than that his head is missing, and instead has five large cables protruding from his throat, implying that he is connected to some sort of unseen device located somewhere within the studio that may play a part in his broadcast/ ability to function. And despite having no head, the Baker seems to function just the same. It is unknown how, though the thought of it is incredibly similar to the patients within the Pale City hospital. In the Little Nightmares 2 comics, the Baker is essentially the same as his concept artwork counterpart, with the only significant difference is that the Baker within the comics has a head. He looks incredibly similar to a Viewer, though his face is obscured by a bright light, so it is unknown if he has any defining facial features or not. But, if the Baker is able to preform a skill-driven task without the interference of a television, than that must mean that he is no regular Pale City citizen, similar to the Teacher, Barber, and Doctor.

I wonder if the other two kids from the comics are modeled because they might use them for a DLC if they make one in the future?

I have the art book, and honestly some of these things I have no clue where they would have put them, but for some, I kind of wished they did. I especially like that one image with the thinman in the background, watching over the 4 kids running; that would have been really cool. I also am quite interested in the baker; he seems to be doing some form of cooking show, and yet we know that the signal isn't normal so I douth they are just a regular (for as regular as a person can be in this universe) person, so I feel like it's probably a creation of the tower that we were gonna find inside it, or perhaps Mono would have had to travel in to various different shows broadcasted by the tower. Anyway cool stuff.

Where each nightmare a child shares can become familiar but can be completely different. Or linking ones that do exist and making something new out of it. Their world has potential. I’m guessing that in the earlier versions mono was meant to find a way to stop the tv shows, either being killing the hosts of it or by shutting off the power

My theory/idea for a gameplay element was that The Hunter's light was going to have the same 'freeze' tech that the Prison Eyes had, effectively trapping you in place so he could catch you.

The Food Lady works within the Pale City school and serves food to the porcelain children. The Principal sits on a sofa in his office at the school... and his face is melting. The Baker bakes on a cooking show, though he has no head and instead has wires reaching out from his throat. The Barber owns a barber shop within the Pale City. He has massive pair of hair-cutting scissors that he uses against children.

It's sad that the watchtower was cut from the final version. The watchtower still could've been a cool sequence, they could've made the wilderness section, the same length as the pale city section. But this game is still awesome.

So i know im late, but i have a theory. So the tune for the unused song "hypno" is actually the same tune as the one for a pale city tv song called HypnoScoutWhistle. So maybe thefe was an unused scene where the boyscouts/hypnoscouts would help you. This song would fit perfectly

It would be so interesting if they kept the part where we would go to the maw by a tv its like we see the old enemies and old areas in the second game

It’s a shame the wilderness was so such a short introduction to the game, I think the environment is oddly beautiful wish we could have seen more of it

I hope that if in the future they do remakes of the Tarsier games then they added a lot of the cut content. Tons of LN2s pacing issues could've been fixed if we spent more time with monsters like The Hunter, Doctor, and Thin Man. Further some scenery would've made the game objectively cooler or creepier.

Shouldn't the three kids have a black texture instead of them being completely texture

sense the orignal thing he was suppose to do was use a saw it makes more sense that this would be his hold theme sense he no longer uses a saw. this is most clear later in the song near the end when you can hear a saw grinding

Secrets of the maw contains a lot of scrapped contnet so I'm hoping that if we ever do get DLC for this game it'll include some cool stuff that were originally scrapped

the concept art of the wilderness is amazing and would been better if they added it in the actual game i feel the hunter mission is short but if they added this it would be amazing too bad we won't get to see it but maybe will get it as a dlc and play as a child the one blind fold

Obviously cut content was likely cut for a reason but it seemed like the old version of this game had A LOT more going for it than what we ended up getting. Not saying I didn't like LN2 but I really would have liked to see more Six and Mono interactions and more in depth looks at enemies, environments and themes. The cut content seems like an entirely different game but LN1 was the same so I wonder if they'll recycle a lot of it into DLC like what they did with Secrets of the Maw.
