Another piece of proof for the blindfold kid being Roger, is that Roger's description says that he left the world behind, almost like he ran away. The blindfold kid is carrying a sack on a stick with him, very similar to the stereotype of running away with a stick with the bag on the end.

@@Rephical to be honest I only really though of it cause it's what his name reminds me of, plus monochrome isn't just black and white, it's text book definition is "an image composed of one color" like just a gradient of one colour I dunno, bit of an over explanation on my part, but you know what I mean

Something that strengthens this theory: all of those children left the glitching remains behind. The chubby child inside the locker, the toddler next to the rat in the woods, the girl in the hospital etc. And the child who also left a glitch behind is, as all of you know, our beloved six, who shortly after that becomes a monster. Now, my theory for that is that the glitching remains are not left in the places where children died (obviously, as six is still alive), but the places where the children got so scared that they lost their childhood. This trauma results in them becoming monster, inside and outside. For me, this also explains why six turned her back on mono. To this point, she returned her normal appearance thanks to mono, but still, the glitch that represents her sweet, kind side is missing inside her. This would also stick to why we always see the glitch appear in little nightmares 1 every time six gets hungry. Her 'nice' side appears to remind her of which she used to be and to judge her for what she has become... Edit: I see this theory is really getting supported... So, Tericho, if you want to hire me as a game - theorist, I don't have anything against that! ;)

You got a good point. I have a thought too on why there are glitchy remains on spots. When we saw Six get captured by Thin Man her 'soul' or something like that gets left behind, maybe Thin Man got the children in those places and left the glitchy remains there. Her 'soul' no longer in the body makes her hunger in LN, so thats why we can spot her remains when we eat in LN.

Just a little theory, roger is not blind, he is folding his mask on his eyes because of the TVs signals, in the first game when you turn the tv on he is drawn by it, that would also explains why he needs a mask, his face is deformed.

I don't really think so, If he was really wearing a mask why wouldn't he take it off when he's on The Maw? The Signal doesn't reach it. I think it's just his decaying skin that was rolled back around his eyes making him completely blind, but you're free to think otherwise, it is a theory afterall.

I think the biggest support for this theory isn’t even mentioned, and that is that each of these children could have been easily morphed by the tower just like six was when she was taken by the thin man. That also brings up a possible theory that each child could be saved, just like six was when the music box is broken.

If they really are all linked, children to the adults, weird broken time line, fantastical dream world, the evils of television...Could it really be adults having nightmares being their childhood selves but the monstrosities that the "world" has turned them into are trying to catch them and bring them back? Perhaps when they die they are really just waking up.

Ultimate plottwist: this is all a nightmare and the one dreaming has multiple personalitys disorder and is actually in a mental hospital in the real world because he/she suffered extremely severe childhood trauma. We as the Player see only the interpretation of those traumas through his dreams/ 'little' nightmares.

They don’t leave the glitch behind when they die, they leave it behind when they are kidnapped by the Thinman. This is clearly represented when Six is kidnapped.

12:20 the bindle could indicate that the kid is fleeing. The Janitor tried to flee the world and that's how he got to the maw.

As well, in the first game of Little Nightmares, when Six is sneaking under the floor where the Janitor is, we can catch a glimpse of him "putting" or pressing something inside a hanging bag. Which, I think, moved and squirmed like a living thing.

Agree. It's called Barber's Pole, and you can see it in the art 6:18. They didn't colourize it as it would be too obvious.

@Fnafronpa and The tattletail craft yep! Barbers would also do surgeries and other medical procedures before the 1900's. My grandparents have memories of their brothers always getting the swirly lollipops at the barber in the 1940s and 50's but maybe its a less popular practice now.

That stuffed kid looks more like an elder teen. I speculate the kids reach a certain age, then the go through a growth spurt and start to develop more normal proportions... but they keep changing, becoming monstrous and disproportioned depending on the signal towers proximity or affects....

@@write-minded3921 You are right about a begining of a transformation, the stuffed lady's face looks ike the viewers, and the grand'pa looks like the patients, with an artificial neck. We also know that viewers are prone to suicide, so maybe they end like that, as I doubt Hunter would kill his own family (at least he tries to keep them eating, litteraly with real food). And what about the corpses bags in the cellar ? They don't seem to be yet affected by any grotesque body growing.

I thought this was strange too when I first played the game but if you remember how Mono aged at the end while becoming the Thin Man I think it's clearly just the style of the game and their universe, children as they age grow a lot differently in Little Nightmares compared to the real world. That child at the table probably was anywhere from 13 to 16 if you look at Mono's in between stages he grows QUITE large and still is presumably a child compared to the older more Thin Man like appearances later. We know Six is 9 at the time of these games and Mono is supposedly older so he may be 10 or 11 at the oldest and in just one or two shifts in the end sequence and he was most certainly the same size as that child at the table.

What this tells me is that the children are doomed to become exactly what they fear most. A living nightmare.

Yeah unless they can leave the nightmare because in an audio tape there was a man talking to a child about weird nightmares which were not nightmares but she was transported into this weird demented world by the ferry man and would completely disapear and reapear.

The bag the the small boy has is a sign that hes traveling or "running away from the world" as it said in Roger's description. It would also explain why theres no portrait of him in LN2, because hes not in the pale city anymore, hes on the Maw.

Another thing is that the lollipop kid is crying like a child would when they don’t want to get their haircut, and he gets a lollipop when he gets his hair cut. Edit: you guys never got a lollipop after you got your haircut? Just me? Okay.

Uh, I think the Doctors are the ones that gives kids lolipops after they exhibit good behavior. I don't know if barbers do that in other countries, but I think the Doctor fits the lolipop more.

I think the colour/pattern of the lollipop could be linked to the barber's pole (the red, whits and blue sign outside barbershops)

I don't really support the whole 'nosebleed-girl is the Teacher' - theory, but the other theories really convinced me, especially the one with the Hunter & the Janitor /kid four & five. Nice video man, keep up the great work

I mean, I kind of understand it, the pretender has dolls which were or were based off of real people who existed there, just like how people say the kids at the school were turned into porcelain dolls.

There are several things that I wish to talk about in finer detail: The identity of the Pale City resident that, who may possibly be disconnected from the Black Tower’s transmission, received a package which was kindly delivered by Mono. The package has the symbol of an eye stamped onto it. The identity of the Pale City resident whose apartment features several items that indicate a relationship to the Governess of the Maw. These items being a porcelain geisha and a framed photo of the Governess. This resident no longer lives within the apartment, so it is unknown where they are or if they are alive. The identity of the Pale City resident who I believe was smoking a cigarette judging by the recently used cigarette sitting in a ashtray as seen by Mono. This particular resident is somehow disconnected from the Black Tower’s transmission, given that he smokes, which is something that the Viewers are incapable of.

That's one fine detailing you did there. Also, I read a theory behind Ash tray. The office room in which we find Ash tray indicates that it's of a detective, the same detective we see in a concept art in which it is shown that a detective is interrogating a kid and and an ash tray is right beside him on the table. What I like to think is, since detective in the concept art looks exactly like mono, it can be theorized that he was a detective when everything was fine in pale city, but after tower thingy, his mind got corrupted and he started working for Tower and captured children instead (which is opposite of what he did in real life, in reality he solved missing children cases as a detective), just like other monsters, like, the doctor still kept on working on bodies, teacher was still teaching, cooks were still making food, but all doing their job in a morbid way. Not sure why thin man would have traveled back in time if his mind was corrupted. Maybe he wanted to lure remaining kids into the tower through his little self (mono) that's why he traveled back in time, but instead his little self forgot what was he here for after coming out of the tv. I might be wrong tho......

I personally think that Very Little Nightmares is not the story of either of the girls therein, neither of them is Six, it's 100% the backstory of Six's raincoat. I think the fact that the sixth child in the concept art looks identical to the non-main character we assume is Six after Braid Girl dies but Six without her raincoat in the comics and LN2 has a completely different haircut and clothing from her is them trying to hint that this girl and Six are completely different people but she is still relevant. Why else would everyone in that concept art lineup look identical to their comic/LN2 selves, but *SIX SPECIFICALLY* would be changed? 🤔

On a previous video, I commented an analysis of what I thought was a cut character from Little Nightmares 2 who I referred to as the Baker, as his concept artwork depicts him stirring a bowl of eggs in preparation for a meal. So, if the Baker made an appearance within the official comic series, does that mean that the Baker is an official character that exists within the Little Nightmares universe? Yes it does. Within the comics, the Baker appears to be a male pale city citizen that may be disconnected or unaltered from the Black Tower’s transmission, similar to the Hunter, Teacher, Barber, and Doctor. The reason why I have come to this conclusion is because the Baker is capable of carrying out complex skill-driven tasks, such as professional baking, which is in complete contrast to the many seemingly mindless pale city citizens that have been nicknamed “Viewers.” His disconnection would also allow him to use weapons if necessary, which may be baking-oriented. The Baker’s face isn’t actually seen, as it is obscured by an incredibly bright light. His attire is incredibly similar to the clothes he wore as depicted in his concept art, which consisted of a long-sleeved white shirt and a teal apron.

Something that might be related but could also just be a coincidence, but in the original concepts for Little Nightmares, there were going to be 3 chefs. Maybe The Baker was going to be that chef but they took him out again. Poor Baker He doesn’t get payed enough to be overlooked like this

Another thing that ties in the blindfold kid as Rodger is that he canonically viewed the transmission so he could’ve gotten the long arms as a side affect

Yea, that actually makes since! He does seem to have interest in TVs in the first game.

In the games every children ultimately reached the twisted form. Mono turning into the thin man, Six brought back from the twisted form by Mono. Maybe every children's destiny is to ultimately reach their twisted form.

I like to think the glitchy kids are the souls of the kids who got taken. And when they got taken they’re soul (they’re happiness, kindness etc” basically they’re good self) got left behind but they’re real body do the exact same thing that happens to mono. They grow up but they grow up without they’re kind souls and stuff.

He was a little thing about the chubby kid being the barber, you can see on the barber it's barely noticeable but you can see there's a little tear so that just gives us further proof that the chubby kid is the barber :)

Someone mentioned how the teacher is based off a Japanese urban legend Rokurokubi. During the day the woman appears to be normal, but by night she turns monstrous and her neck stretches. Have you don’t a theory about why everything happens at night? Could be interesting.

It's a really chilling reminder of the fact that all the adults used to be children at some point.

Going off the theory that the kid with the blindfold is wearing a blindfold to protect from the thin man coming out of the tv, then I have an idea. The reason Rodger is wearing a blindfold is because, of course, he is the same person as the blind kid. But, the reason Rodger is still wearing a blindfold is because he enjoys the tv show, but fears that the thin man will come through the tv and catch him like he did in the past. He very clearly enjoys the tv show as we see in Little Nightmares 1.

I kinda hope for a possible dlc we get to play as the kids from slightly before and during their time in the comics as well as having the barber, lunch lady, and maybe some of the antagonist from earlier (i.e the doctor/patients for the red head girl)

The image of the barber is very similar to a picture used in a common german farytale called "Die Geschichte vom Daumenlutscher". I don't know if this was intentional but both enemies use giant scissors and lean over a child, threatening to cut them.

The 5th kid could have the bindle to indicate he left the city, because he went to the Maw and became Roger

We strangley see only one monster be nice in the form of an hidden achievement When Mono wheres the mailman hat and brings a package towards a door, a hand slowly grabs the package carefully, when it could easily grabbed Mono

what if mono could transform the rest of the bosses / monsters back into their child forms like he did with six?

You're right! The kid with a blind is the guy who is obsessed with the television who is also blind folded. He likes the singing girl which is if you compared to the reality, kids are now obsessed with cocomelon or pinkpong or more... I think.... I like theories and it makes the story more interesting.

Broken timeline.

In Roger’s description it says something about him escaping his past and a bindle is often connected to running away which strengthens the theory that they are the same person

I love this theory! The only one I’m not sure about is the red hair girl, it seems like all the kids have some features that carry over to their monster form. Mono’s hat, lollipop kids hair, ghost kids arm/ hole in the sheet, blindfold kid and Rogers mask. If she were the teacher why not at least have red hair? Personally, I’m holding out hope she becomes a monster in a future game. Edit: Id love to see the barber concept art in motion as well! I just love this world so much haha

Yeah, I think the red head girl would become The Granny that swims in the flooded basement in the Little Nightmares DLC. Mainly cause they look a bit alike, but not much tho. It would make a bit since if she did become teacher to.

I think that each comic character is one of the glitches in the second game. You can find a glitch in same room as the spoon girl, You can find a glitch in the locker of the school which is where the school kid’s comic ended, you can find a glitch by the out house and the only ones we don’t have are mono, six, and the ghost kid

The part in the game that was disturbing to me was when you walk above the teacher and she’s hitting the kid with a ruler, just makes me sick.

I’ve been wondering that myself. What if the adults can see what they really are? The true monster underneath. Maybe that’s why they were taken to The Maw to begin with? Just theorizing, mind.

I just thought of something. At the end of the Blindfold kids comic you can see he went into the tv. I was thinking maybe the singal tower changed his body and that's what's made his arms so long once he turned into Rodger or the janitor

I have a question though (bc I haven't seen any videos about it), but when you attack the bullies, you broke their head and they like "die",¿ but then later they're some bullies that are still alive but with their heads broken, ??

All the comic kids have models and animations in the game files so if theres DLC then maybe there in it

Personally, it's surprisingly comforting to hear someone notice and talk about similar theories. Maybe its the fact that I feel like your helping project your ideas as well as ours; They align very well and personally I enjoy hearing the new things we might have missed. 👍

This is a really cool theory! I feel like one thing that may disprove it is the fact that they adult version of themselves is with the kid version of them self but timelines are a bit weird and we have seen ideas about this too (six being the lady from the first game) so it can definitely work. The thing that always bothered me with the loop idea is how did it start? It would have to include betrayal between mono and six, but no thin man, which is obviously what led up to the betrayal and mono would have to have fallen into the cell tower, but I’m not even sure it would be there because the thin man is in control but obviously wouldn’t be there Also what do the adults do with the children?? Obviously some adults kill them or experiment or other, but what would the teacher do???

Before watching the video: I just realized in the official artwork (or maybe its concept art?) for the group of them together, Mono is the first of the group and Six is the last. Perhaps all the children between them have names resembling their numerical order, like Mono and Six?

If the blind fold kid is proven to be Roger, The Janitor, I think that since, Roger, has 5 letters in it, it could be a reference that he was the 5th child to go. It's most likely a crazy coincidence, but it's something to think about.
