second saddest character in LN Mono is definitely the saddest because he’s in an eternal loop of betrayal but Seven, as the fandom tends to name RK, has the runner up. dude wakes up, puts all this effort into escape, befriending nomes in the process, and is such a nice kid. and it’s all worthless because in the end he’s turned into a Nome and even after all hope is lost he tries to do one last good deed in helping a starving Six and gets eaten for it.

if it's any consolation, she only abandoned mono, because she started to see him as a villain after a trauma that mono himself caused her (confirmed by the creators of little nightmares) and she only ate the runaway kid for two reasons: 1 she found out from the that sausages were made (meat from children and guests), 2 she didn't know that the nomes used to be children's, she would have opted for sausage if she had known that.
