Eight years later and this song still hurts.😢

I had a girlfriend who had been abused in the past and when I saw her I instantly fell in love with her. Every time I would go and hug her she would flinch because she thought I would hit her. This is not just about unrequited love, it’s a song about love that can’t be shown because of other peoples’ judgement abd bigotry. Be it a Kpop idol who is shunnned for being in a relationship or an LGBTQ+ couple, we cannot let our love show. I love this song so much..

Not even that, it's about loving someone already in a relationship. Finding love when u had already supposedly found it. But this song is also perfect for what you refer to. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community and living in Latin America this is my reality. Not being able to share my love for my partner in certain contexts. With people I love and care about.
