It literally brough tears in my eyes. I am from Pakistan. I used to watch it in my childhood. I was 8 years old in 1983. It was played on our national TV channel, the only TV channel in our country those days. Even me and my siblings couldn't understand a single English word that time but still we loved it. I don't know where the thought of that show came into my mind today and when I searched KZread I found this clip. Beautiful memory of my childhood. Well, your comment brings tears to MY eyes, for whatever reason...Maybe because the same sort of feeling, across the world, happens to me when I see this stuff! I remember having only about 6 or 7 channels back then, in the US! But Little House was a big time favorite show, my best friend was really into the show, and I read all the books, too, as a child. They are worth it, if you have kids, or even GRAND kids, lol get those books! They are awesome, as well

The opening music is so touching, isn't it? Why don't more TV shows have themes like this?

That's a thing of the past. The reason is that theme songs take too long and it gives people a chance to click away and watch something else. On the other hand, going right into the programming keeps people watching. This is why, for example, Seinfeld, didn't have a theme song. They went straight into the show.

Back when shows like this, mirrored the average (white, at least) American family. The morals were basically the same, and your parents could let you watch it because they knew the message of the show was similar to what you were being taught at home. How far we have come, to a degraded culture.

I am so glad this show was filmed instead of taped. Film makes the show look so much better and gives it a cinimatic quality. I love the new blu-ray releases of this show. This is something to be treasured.

Brings back so many memories of growing up watching this in the 70s and 80s. Rewatching now during coronavirus quarantine. Very comforting!

Little House on The Prairie was one of the ALL-TIME greats in classic TV, This is truly awesome!

I'm in Vietnam, I watched this movie when I was a kid, now I'm 35 years old and still watch it again, really this is a classic movie.

1:20 This is the most beautiful scene I've ever seen in a series💞I discovered this series recently, I was born in 2003 and had never heard of it, just from my grandparents. I'm starting to watch the episodes and she's turning it is one of my favorite series! It's wonderful🤩🥰!! A big hug from Brazil 🌹✨

I watched it every week as a child . That theme music is written deep in my heart. There is also associated books. It's biographical. I loved the book, Little House in the Woods ( set before they moved close to town)

Watching the little house often has moved me to tears and the stories have touched my heart in a very profound way. Thanks to all the members of the cast of the little house on the prairie. I can side with that. This show plus "Grizzly Adams" growing up in an urban neighborhood made me yearn for nature and the countryside.

A series that shows America's healthy mind, a drama that is loved by people all over the world

This show was on TV in Korea from '76 to '83. It was one the greatest shows ever. A true classic from my childhood days. I'm getting dewy eyes watching this video after so many years. Thank you for uploading this.

I'm from Malaysia and I grew up with Little House on the Prairie in the 1970's and 80's. Yes they showed this beautiful family programme here too in this part of the world. We had and still have many American programmes even more so with satellite tv. Little House was the in thing those days with the family sitting round the tv set, watching it. Good morals, good values. Very feel good family story I bought all of Laura Ingalls Wider's books when I was 10 years old and gave them away later for someone else's enjoyment. It's so refeshing and nostalgic to see this especially during this pandemic. How I wish the good,old days were here...

This theme moves me deeply, I was a child in the 70s and I watched this entire series on television.

This show has always been one of my very favorites. I watched it each week and now I watch it on the internet.This show calms me and brings me a peace which is no longer as attainable as easily at it once was. I 'm addicted to this and the Waltons. I also watch Andy Griffith and Leave it to Beaver. whenever the World gets you down try sitting calming and losing yourself in one of these wonderful shows. Best shows ever.

Just hearing the musical introduction immediately brings me back to my childhood years and my beautiful memories with dear ones I lost who used to share the same session with me in front of the TV every Saturday night.

On tv in the afternoon in our country in the 70s, me friend and I hurried home from school the 12 kilometers on our bycicles to be in time to watch! Lovely memories!

Keep coming back to this video.. it brings back sweet memories as a young child watching this favorite show with my family at night..i miss the ingalls family & the prairie. I want to visit this place some day

I was toddler when this series airing on my country back in 1983-1986. Didn't know much about this series, but the older guys always mention this series if talking about good old tv show. Now I watch this series on 2019 on cable TV, I understand why so many people love this series. Humble living in pairie, heartwarming moments and many inspirations for daily life and family. Timeless :)

Oh my.... after 36 years l am watching this... I was just 3 or 4 years old when this was telecasted on "rupavahini" the first sri lankan channel in the early 80's... I remember me sitting on my mom's lap and dadda by my side watching this drama... now my dadda is 80 and mom 68.. brings me my childhood memories...couldnt stop cryjng....thank you for uploading this...

What a wholesome show As someone who's young and enjoys a good South Park episode or maybe even some Family Guy, you can't beat a classic. No foulness, sex, or violence just simple things.

Dang, this song is making me cry. I remember watching this show in the afternoons at about 3 or 4pm every day on TV Land with my mom. It became a tradition, and I loved every second of it.

"Ma! Pa's back! Pa's back!" Laura in nearly every episode of Season 1😂😂😂

In France, this series is still very popular. It is still broadcast on different channels. I thank Michael Landon (RIP) for this very beautiful series which represents beautiful values: love, friendship, work, life's misfortunes. Personally, I am quite moved every time I hear the music. It represents nostalgia. It represents me, a teenager, coming back from college to eat lunch at my place. My mom was watching the show and from the start I loved it. Whoever says that this series is boring and silly did not understand anything. This series represents life, the real one.

So I lost my mom last week. I was around 6 when we all watched together as a family. Mom used to call it "Little Cry On The Prairie"..she would always cry at the end of each show thanks to that damned Michael Landon. 😥😁 Miss ya mom, and all your happy tears.

When Mary went blind which I saw in reruns when I was little, I just couldn't. It broke my heart! I can't explain it but it was so sad.

The greatest TV drama of my childhood I still remember. In my village there was only one hotel where I used to see this drama the whole characters of that series had done a great job specially Melissa. Memories never dies. Love you all specially M. Gilbert.

I am 55 years old and I love the Little House on the Prairie I watch it every chance I get my kids asked me have I use a outhouse I told her we grew up sharecropping we had no wind or water or indoor plumbing of course I use they have a house and this is why I appreciate it running water and the indoor outhouse this is a true story I truly watch The Little House on the Prairie and Bonanza Little Rascals and all the other shows in that era

Boy THIS really got to me today... I used to go eat at my aunt's apt and this was one of her favorite shows... I was going through a horrible few years when it came on the air but..so it was so nice to just see something holsum... When the end music started playing I got anxious..I would be going home soon...WOW..what a rush of memory😭❤️

DUDE, THE MEMORIES. Our parents grew up with Little House on the Prairie, and seven or so years ago they bought the entire collection for us, but DUDE. We used to watch an episode a night, so for the good part of several months all we watched was Little House on the Prairie. I literally can't right now, I feel like crying.

Days when your responsibilities ended at homework and some chores.... wow did I take that for granted.

God bless Michael Landon , such wonderful man , I know God Loves him and he is in heaven now . Michael you are loved by many .

We binged the entire series. So good to watch wholesome entertainment.

I loved the theme music, and was addicted to the show for the first year or two, when I was 10 and 11. But this particular episode had a jump-scare killing near the end, which I was too young for.

The intro music brings me back to my childhood and beautiful days of my life, and I believe that this series has beautiful memories for everyone over forty years old around the world.

I watched an episode of this on Roku TV the other day. There's a Little House on the Prairie channel. The first time I've seen it in 25 years. You can really go down a LHOTP rabbit hole on KZread watching the Megan Kelly interviews of some of the stars, the reunion videos, Several of the stars wrote books, their careers, etc. In other words I just spent 3 or 4 hours watching Little House on the Prairie related videos.

Yes. Over time, the idea of relaxation and entertaining a family in their own home was properly realised with television. A big screen. But I don't think sweet memories of family shows and the family gathered round the TV will go on in the internet age. The technology has become an end in itself. And it's ridiculous really now. All that technology gives is now is a feast of frivolities and trivialities. Postcards, letters and stamps now seem as if God had intended those objects. But I'm not so sure about the modern technology of small screens today.
