@@StellasYarnUniverse I ended up not using this pattern or increasing it, but I kind of crocheted "free style" by myself, LOL (not sure how to explain it because english is not my first language). I based myself in this pattern to have an idea of how to make round crochet and how to use increases and decreases to kind of create the form I was looking for. I did the Edwiges owl (from Harry Potter) for my daughter's room. I didn't do it life sized and as big as Edwiges is in the movies, but it's more or less the realistic size of a smaller owl.

Marília, você já fez algum amigurumi? Se não fez seria bom antes fazer um que alguma crocheteira brasileira ensina no KZread eu recomendo a Gle Negri, aí tendo essa experiência fica muito mais fácil entender o trabalho das estrangeiras, e assim que eu faço,também esse vídeo do passarinho tem legendas em inglês que você pode ir deduzindo o que ela diz já que por exemplo a primeira carreira no anel mágico tem 6 pontos e a segunda 12 a terceira 18 e vice vai prestando atenção no que ela faz, é um trabalho de paciência,mas todas nós somos capazes, boa sorte querida, eu adoro fazer amigurumis

Hi Catherine, unfortunately it’s not. This is the first bird I made a while ago, not knowing that I would end up making all kinds of different birds. 😄 But maybe you can scale it up with heavier yarn and a bigger hook like with the squirrel. 💖😊

Maybe it works if you make the chains and single crochet as tight as possible? I also often squeeze the beak in shape after crocheting and attaching it. On Saturday I have a Live CAL for another little bird. The beak will be the same. I will try my best to show it more clearly then. 😊

Hi Scarlet, don’t worry all is well. Sounds like you are looking at the British terminology of this pattern. Here in the UK we call sc dc. If you scroll further down on the page you will get to the US version where everything is in sc. 😊
