U made me laugh and cry at the same time with this comment... so many memories!

My uncle passed away when i was 10 in 1999. I just turned 34 and this game is still magic to me. I miss him everyday, but him and i had so much fun. He helped me beat it the fist time up to the very end. And sadly passed before we finished. I didnt beat it until probably 15 years later.... miss uncle Joe ❤️ Edit: The Song of Gabriel always makes me cry 😊

This game was a christmas present from my parents in 1998 - i was 8 years old. Today I am 28 years old and i am still fascinated. This music is awesome and an important part of my childhood and youth.

The guy who made this music is a FUCKING GENIUUUUS!!!!!!!!

This reminds me so much of playing this game with my late mother in my childhood. I lost her recently, and this brings good memories with her.

One of a few games that leave a special mark in your heart, so many years passed and it is still there.

Hearing this music, i was instantly transported back 20 years Back then, this game was the ultimate in simple adventure games It was not too simple, or too complicated It struck a balance no other game has even approached May LBA 2 be remembered for all time

Se que puedo sonar infantil o incluso ridiculo, pero cada vez que eschucho el ost numero 1(y en general cada uno de estos), siento un momento de paz y felicidad al recordar lo mucho que ame ese video juego por ser el primero que jugue y porque fue mi gran regalo de navidad, cuando lo vi en la tienda lo deseaba tanto que al recibirlo senti alegria de infancia como nunca.

I will never forget Twinsen! A game made back in the day where developers still had room for creativity, now they just copy what is good from others, cause its a sure sell :(

I played Twinsey a lot in my childhood and I was able to play with my kids nowadays, it's something magical that should be passed on from generation to generation and not get lost in time.

I used to spend hours in the casino just to listen to this song!

When my sister would play this game, I would just watch next to her and look at her go! I remember being way too scared to fight the first boss so I would just walk around the first island, load my sister's old savefiles time to time where she's in a peaceful village and just explore the world. I'm sure everyone's experience when it comes to this game is unique but phenomenal like mine at the same time!

En el 97 compré una revista que me atrajo por la caratula del demo, lo probamos y a los tres días les regalé el Twinsen's odyssey a mis hijos, enseguida se hizo parte de nuestra familia, la música con los niños de fondo aun hoy me emociona. Hoy lo juegan mis nietos, ¡¡cuantos gratos recuerdos!!...

I’ll admit that the gameplay frustrated the heck out of me, but I can honestly say I never felt more completely immersed in a game universe and the credit mostly goes to this beautiful music.

Beating this game as a kid was almost impossible. I had to replay it like 20 years later to beat it haha. I even used some cheat codes as I got a bit tired a of the redundancy. Awesome game though.

As a kid I got stuck at that part where you use the ball to grab a key over a map obstacle... I didn't realize you could use the ball to grab items like that...

The empire still gives me goosebumps to this day.

This Game is a Masterpiece. One of the most magical games ever. Rotating the character was kinda difficult but even this problem had it's own beautiful sides.

This game has thunderstucked my childhood and my whole life. Waiting for LBA 3.

Brings back such fond memories. Everything about this game was a decade ahead of its time. Superb from start to finish.

And also credit to Paul de Senneville, of course, who was President of Adeline Software International at 150 Boulevard Haussmann, Paris. And yes, the 'Adeline' of the company name is from the same lady 'Adeline de Senneville' who had a famous instrumental piece, composed by Paul, named after her... 'Ballade Pour Adeline'. _Not many know that..._

I was around 10, in middle school back in the day. I remember recording all of these tracks on a cassette and bringing it to school for it to be used as soundtrack in our end of year performance. We played The Little Prince, and it did fit so very well I was praised by my teachers. The good old days.

Phillipe and the team have a kickstarter up for the LBA Symphonic Suite. It'll include both the symphonic suite and the original soundtrack as well as a bunch of other goodies.

This music means so much for me, it was the first pc game I had. It cames, in the past, with the sound blaster offboard (and the sound was amazing btw - this one, another car game and a futball one - I thing it was acctual soccer). Anyway, all this sounds made me remenber my father, whose died febuary last year. I miss him so much that I cannot describe. All these ost remmember me playing this game for hours and showing him the amazing grafics, for the time. Thank you for bringing me such good memories, even thou I've to cry evertime I heard.

I recently discovered that this game was a masterpiece for many people. This its the part two, the second game. Now its going to be released the reboot. The best game Ive ever played, just a classic

This game may not be the absolute masterpiece in storytelling, but the music synergises immensely with it, every single moment of gameplay becomes a deep dive into the events, as if you're the one standing where Twinsen stands... Gorgeous!

@@melchiah23 o cara é enrolado mesmo, mas a diferença desta vez é que ele anunciou o start da criação do LBA3, antes era só especulação sobre direitos autorais da Adeline Software e bla bla bla, que nem quero lembrar, já perdi bastante tempo com isso em 2006... por fim, quem sabe daqui uns 3 ou 5 anos n teremos um LBA3 mesmo, se cyberpunk levou 7 anos pra ficar pronto e ficou uma merda ainda, LBA 3 com certeza n será rápido!

This music has so many layers. Proper orchestral pays off, endless love here. Honey B is my personal favorite. Then again, so is Song of Gabriel.

Yo igual, era chiquita, mi papá lo trajo en modo demo y no paraba de jugarlo, él también se volvió fan, al tiempo lo consiguió en cd. Estaba en inglés habremos tardado un año en terminarlo, porque andábamos traduciendo los textos de los diálogos con un diccionario xd pero muy fanáticos, hace poco lo jugué de nuevo, ya en español, me trajo tantos recuerdos de los 90, hermoso y su soundtrack también, sigo encantada con su historia y originalidad, diseño de personajes y mundos, es mi juego favorito de aventuras, siempre lo fué :) pd. mi papá recién lo esta jugando de nuevo y casi lo termina, solo que se trabó en la parte que tiene que encontrar la pieza de algo que esta debajo de una palmera o algo así, yo ya no me acuerdo donde estaba para ayudarlo e_e

@@DIVERGENTE27 yo me acuerdo muy poco, me acuerdo que encontré esa pieza, pero no donde, él dice que no las dos palmeras que vé no aparece, se encontraba usando una pala. Las esmeraldas las tiene ya, que eran para una pistola de laser creo. Me preguntaba y yo no me acordaba, pero para mi estaba en esa islita donde esta el pajarito a cuerda que anda caminando xdd igual voy a ver en algún fameplay jajaja

Es un juego hermoso, con el que tuve el placer de disfrutar muchísimos momentos, me recuerda muy buena parte de mi infancia

Se nao me engano o ano era 98, meu pai tinha dado pro meu irmão um windows 98, o mais novo sistema operacional da microsoft na época. Junto com o computador, veio alguns CD Roms com jogos. Doom, algum jogo da Vila Sesamo (Sesame Street), e Twinsen Odyssey. Que qualidade esse jogo meus amigos, lembro de na época me divertir muito, mesmo não sabendo como se jogava direito, não tinha capacidade mental para fluir na narrativa da história. Só me restava ficar perambulando pelos lugares usando minha imaginação de uma criança de 6 anos. Meu irmão mais velho jogava direitinho, e ficava do lado dele olhando. Ser exposto a um jogo desse tão cedo, me fez ter um senso critico apurado para os jogos que estavam por vir, que diga-se de passagem a qualidade era bem alta no Nintendo 64, playstation, e um tempo depois o Dreamcast . Alguns anos mais velhos, o cd era guardado com muito carinho, e instalei ele no meu Compaq, no ano de 2002, e a partir dali comecei a ter capacidade para realmente jogar.

praticamente o mesmo comigo, ganhei da revista CD Expert que meu pai me deu de presente! eu tenho esse cd até hoje =), eu não sabia ingles na época então eu perambulava bastante, inclusive cheguei bem longe desvendando as coisas na base da sorte hahaha, mas eu passei muito tempo preso na eterna chuva que fazia no começo do game, joguei esse jogo muitas vezes ao longo dos anos, quando fiquei um pouco mais velho eu acabei zerando o game e foi fantástico, marcou minha vida pra sempre e agora eu to mais feliz ainda de estarem remasterizando o primeiro e o segundo jogo! e é com o criador original como diretor, inclusive o teaser trailer do remaster foi lançado hoje lá pelo meio dia mais ou menos. Incrivel que isso tenha tocado outras crianças da mesma forma que me tocou, brasileiras inclusive.

@@gabsforsberg essas revistas eram incríveis, cheguei a ver uma no rio de janeiro que vinha com um cd-rom com emulador de gameboy e a versão yellow, bizarro. Tive a oportunidade de zerar mais tarde o Twinsen's 2, porem fiquei muito tempo quando criança preso na chuva. Se não me engano tinha que resgatar as crianças sequestradas de uma caverna, e logo em seguida os ETS chegavam na cidade...Uma das coisas mais engraçadas era entrar na creche e bater nas crianças, ai quando tu saia da creche os pais de cada uma dela vinham te bater. Parece sádico, mas o engraçado era que os pais delas se pareciam com elas. Foram horas na ilha chuvosa sem saber o que fazer, me fez tomar atitudes dessas. Porém quando pegava o save do meu irmão mais avançado e a ilha tava dominada pelos alienígenas era assustador! Eles estavam por toda parte e sempre morria de bobeira, não conseguia matar ninguem de zarabatana. Lembro que no final, quando já tava no planeta deles, comecei a ignorar todos os inimigos e sair correndo até o final. Tava desesperado pra zerar e consegui. ASSUSTADOR VOCÊ FALAR QUE VAI TER REMASTER! vi o trailer do 1 aqui, incrível também o criador ta vivo e firme! Com certeza vou jogar novamente e passar pela ilha da ardósia, tartaruga e andar de dinofly.

Just recently finished yet another playthrough of this game.... Still holds up to this day, what an absolute gem.

One of the most amazing things my dad did on the 90s was to buy that Win 98 PC. With the purchase The seller added Twinsen's Odyssey, Moto Racer 2, Dungeon Keeper and Croc 2. Various of the games of my childhood, I really loved them. But this one was so magical! the music, the characters, the stories behind every corner, the 4 playable styles for Twinsen, the different maps, the tasks in the Magic School.... nice memories. :')

Loved this game so much! And through the years I occasionally replay it and love it even more due to the better & deeper understanding of everything. If I have to let my child play a computer game, it would definitely be this one! Might look simple, but it has it all - love, compassion, challenges, plot twist! What an experience!

This was the first video game I ever honest-to-god fell in love with. And it's one of the reasons why I work as a video game designer now. I was 5 years old when I got the demo (and eventually the main game CD), and the soundtrack still brings that overwhelming nostalgia flooding right on back. For such a relatively simple adventure game, Twinsen's Odyssee had so much personality and charm, and it felt like a whole realized world to me as a kid.

this game really impressed me a lot, the first time I assembly my first 486DX computer, got this game as a gift from my parents. everytime when I hear the theme music I was feeling so joyful no matter how harsh I feel toward my school study.

One of the best game soundtracks of all time. I played the first LBA (called Relentless here in the states) back in the 90's and loved that game... and it's soundtrack was pretty good too. I accidently found Twinsun's Odyssey at a Electronics Boutique upon release and instantly bought it. Did they ever make a third game? If not, they really should as long as it's the same developers with the same mindset. BTW: Honey B and Empire are such amazing theatric music tracks. They are worthy of a high budget fantasy film.

Recuerdo que este juego lo empecé a jugar porque lo tenía mi papá y yo lo veía en su computadora entonces un día me dio curiosidad y lo empecé a jugar y la verdad no me arrepiento es un juego muy bonito, interesante y tiene una trama bonita. El juego en sí no lo jugué cuando era ¨nuevo¨ si no que como en 2015, pero mi papá sí lo tuvo desde que salió en el 97, igual un juegazo
