Nuostabi pagoniškos Lietuvos laikų daina "Bite lingo". Atlieka - Rasa Serra, muzika - Donis. Visi vaizdai nufotografuoti mano (pagrinde Aukštaitijos NP, Kėdainių rajonas, Panemuniai, Biržų rajonas)
Eilės (apytikslės):
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, bitė lingo, bitė linago...
Kas sustabdė lauke vėjy?
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, bitė stabdė lauke vėjy.
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, kol ieškojo savo mielo.
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, bitinėlio medų rada.
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, raste rada, nesurada.
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, visos trana sugeluotos.
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, saldų medų sumirkytos.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, kas sustabdė lauke raitus?
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, sejė stabdė lauke raitus.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, kol ieškojo savo mielo.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, broliutėlio begų (?) rada.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, broliutėlio begų (?) rada.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, raste rada, nesurada.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, visas kario sukapotas.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, juodu krauju sumirkytas.
Sejė lingo, sejė linago, juodu krauju sumirkytas.
Bitė lingo, bitė linago, sejė lingo, sejė linago...

Tegul ši daina visiems primins pagonybės laikus, kai mes buvom stiprūs ir neištižę. Daugiau tokių dainų ir tie laikai grįš.
I have never heard a so amazingly beautiful language. You can be proud of it and of your culture. RESPECTS from Algeria !!!
Greetings from Latvia, our sanskrit brother
Awesome!!!! Greetings from Ukraine
Labai gražu. Dainos pradžioje net šiurpuliukai pereina. SUPER;]
Houla ! Superbe et étonnant ! 5*. I just loooooove it. It s a bit like ancient Greek music as played by Daemonia Nymphe. Or Irfan "Hagia Sophia". I didn't know lithuanian music could be so good
Really good. Greetings from Turkey.
Tiesiog nuostabu Rasa.. nuostabiai dainuoji, puoseleji musu neikainuojama kulturini palikima bei dargi idomiai improvizuoji .. Saunuole, ir toliau sitaip. sekmes tau:)
I think it's beautiful, it's a big part of the culture just to understand what had gone on in one's life THANK YOU
Yes, Lithuanian language is very old and have a lot of common words with Sanskrit like rasa, duona, dantys, ugnis, šimtas...
Thanks! The name is from Old Lithuanian language and it means "bee was swinging". The song is about dead warrior. Btw, I see you like Arkona, it's wonderful band I like it much as well :)
That is really cool! I'm part Lithuanian, and I've always liked sad songs. I'll have to find more of this. ^_^
This isn't really my usual style of music but I really like the use of dissonance in this. very effective!
great song!
this is beautiful, I love it and I'm gonna find that album.... I want to know this language-being half Lithuanian, my mom being full Lithuanian second generation American I know enough to understand some basics BUT I want to know what she is saying/singing! Please some one tell me where I can find the words even if they're not translated please I want to know my history!
@senosdienos Well, Slavic (especially eastern) languages are the product of Baltic and Scythian mix plus later influence from Finougric and Tiurkic languages. No wonder all modern linguists group Baltic & Slavic languages to one Baltoslavic family.
i am an indian who doesn't know sanskrit like most other indians but if someone made me listen to this song and told me to guess which language this song was, my first guess would have been sanskrit .
Ačiū. Džiaugiuosi, kad patiko :)
There is no rain in this song. But yes she is singing about bee, actually female bee (in the first half of the song). The bee is searching for her husband or brother (male bee). And the second half of the song is about a sister who is searching for her brother. He was at war.
Amazing track, g8 music, broths. :) If you like etno-neo-folk-trance, maybe you find good our latvian "Auli" or "Auļi". :)
wow..
Platinam:) Šaunu, kad irgi prisidedat prie platinimo. Turim daugybę geros muzikos, kuri taip mažai kam žinoma.
For ever!
great album. along with "sotvaras" it can attract people from abroad to lithuanian folk culture. just one question: is the song itself of prussian or lithuanian origins?
@sohantherebel Nice to hear it. Lithuanians are proud of their rilations with sanskrit. Both languages share common words.
Yes, it has some similarity. By the way, I love Irfan and Daemonia Nymphe music so much:)
@allyoneverstone Hi! I added lyrics to the description. But they are very difficult to understand because of archaic language and metaphoric style. The main song's idea is that a bee is seaching her lover but find he's dead and a girl (a "sister") is searching her boyfriend and he's also dead in a war. That's a little pity what Lithuanian folk songs are mostly only about war, death or beer while other nations sung about God and love. But well, that's the Lithuanian history, eternal war =/
@MykeSoBe Artist name: Donis Album: Bite lingo Although Donis is only music composer and vocal is of Rasa Serra. Believe me, whole album is worth to listen. Also, you can try our "oficial" pagan band Kūlgrinda. If you have any troubles to get Lithuanian music or want any recommendations write PM. I will gladly help :)
Gracias:)
Isties labai grazi daina. Atsimenu dar pirmakart busiu isgirdus ja ziuredama filma. Skambejo... na kaip cia issireiskus... Uzburianciai.
Porque? Portugal tem fado. Um de estilos melhores do musica no todo mundo =)
@argeHu Thanks too. Maybe Souad Massi's music is wonderful, but our language is not so elegant, so sweet and so harmonious than yours. I want learn more about your country and your culture.
LITHUANIAN FOLK MUSIC OF 21 century......... YOU SHOULD CORECT IT ;)
Beautiful, also argeH I also made a video with this and i credited you for your comments and your lyric translations.
@nwaqshti Thank you! Well, Algeria also has great music. At least, music of Souad Massi is wonderful =)
Very nice pics! Cool song too. Btw what does "Bite lingo" mean?
it's writen pre-war pagan song.
@argeHu tikri nacionalistai, uz Irana. taip kad....
It seems to be a folk song in an old Lithuanian dialect that's hard to understand. I think she sings about a bee in the rain.
Cool! Balto-Slavic friendship 4eva! :P
Catholicism is semitic not Indo-European thing. But otherwise, all religions has the same nature - all came from cult of sky. But some "superior" religions deny that and made a pittyful man as a god.
