Another great video. I live in Western New York State and it does get below freezing during the winter months. I do not ride in that weather but I do keep my Harley on a trickle charge. From my understanding, a lithium battery would not be a good option for me.

If you want to ride when it’s below freezing we don’t recommend lithium but if your a fair weather rider then lithium is a great choice, just make sure your tender will charge a lithium battery

Awesome. Answers my questions from what I sent you the other day. I do have another question. do you have the trickle charger for the XS Power - Li-PSX30Q - HD? I too live where it gets cold and I'd like to trickle charge it during the non-riding months. I just want to make sure I get everything I need instead of coming back over and over to do this upgrade.

I love my lithium...N.E. Ohio, all weather. It's called a Hard Drive. 750 CCA. My Road King used to hesitate on start with the O.E. battery. Now about a 1/2 crank & she fires right over everytime. Weighs 4lbs & our police force bikes swear by them.

I just got a Harley 1200 48 new but ,I let it sit like a week before I crack it up. I just tried to start it this Morning it wouldn’t start. So i purchased a Harley 1 amp charger. It taking a long time to fully charge.

My question is about the jump starter, once fully charged how long does it stay charged, meaning how long can I leave it on my bike and it still jump start my bike?

If you mean how long till you need to recharge, we recommend every 6 months

I watched your video it informative. The person in the video said if you live where the temperature gets below freezing you should probably not buy a lithium battery. I would like to get a lithium battery for starting power but in the winter the weather does get below freezing. I don't ride in the winter but I do start my occasional. I own a HD but I not satisfied with there batteries. Can still buy a lithium battery?

Yes most people store their bike inside, below freezing temps are bad on every type of battery but when using agm or lithium they put out much lower cranking Amps on initial power up when below freezing, we recommend turning ignition on and waiting at least 30 seconds before cranking to let the battery warm and produce more cranking amps when below freezing

We tried the noco Harley jump start lithium pack, fully charged it did not start the bike we tested it on, Noco is known for chargers, not batteries, I am sure they are rebranding a different lithium battery, we recommend 900amp or larger lithium for better reserve capacity

i got a question. im looking into getting a lithium battery i do have a 600 amp stereo system plus led underglow and airride and etc etc. i do live colder state but i usually only ride in the summer and store the bike in the winter. is it worth getting a lithium battery or just stick with the agm battery thanks

I think with a 600 watt amplifier and the accessories you mention AGM would work fine, if I were to go lithium the 900amp version would be more than enough

We highly recommend the titan8 batteries that charge with any voltage without worry, the xs power lithium battery line works great with stock Harley stator and regulator, but if not using the titan8 series we do recommend lithium specific battery tender

So I wanted to get this PWRS530Q battery for my 2022 lowrider ST , but after looking at the sizes of both batteries, I found that your battery is bigger in size .. do you know if it will fit my bike or I need different battery

The battery you mention is a 30 series case size and the exact size as most touring motorcycles, some of the dimensions are the package dimensions. If your stock battery is a 30 series it will fit perfectly, we also gave the smaller 20 series case in stock. It should be one of the 2 batteries

If you don’t ride / store your bike below freezing then lithium is the best, if you do ride / store below freezing you need to go agm or let the lithium battery warm up before starting the bike, simply turning on the ignition and letting the headlight burn for 15-20 seconds will wake a lithium up to start the engine

Nice video, thank you! I have a 2020 HD heritage softail. I changed the Yuasa battery with a NOCO20 Lithium battery 2 months ago. Its winter in NY and my bike is in the garage (garage never gets at or below freezing) hooked up to the Noco Genius 10 charger/maintainer to the bikes battery pigtail connector. I pass the bike everyday and peek at the charger and its been at solid green stating fully charged. I haven't started the bike in about 2 weeks and decided to start it and the battery is dead. I jumped started the bike and it started no problem. Whats wrong with these maintainers, batteries, etc....?

The noco is a very low end, low cost lithium, if you buy a cheap lithium it will be trouble

I just got a new Road Glide Special and don't really foresee needing to jump to LiPo, at least until my stock AGM starts to fail (or if I start adding on any significant power-draw periphials). At that time, I probably will upgrade to a LiPo. I'm just exploring battery options at the moment. I'm an RC model airplane guy and fly electric RC airplanes with LiPo batteries. My LiPo chargers can charge batteries with 1 to 6 cells in series, with each cell being 3.7vdc nominal and 4.2vdc max. Could I use my model airplane battery LiPo charger (which can do LiFe as well, plus I can change the max voltage, too, and can set the max max current input) to charge one of your Lithium batteries? Another question: What if you're out and the battery won't crank the bike? Can a LiPo-battery motorcycle be jumped with a system for jumping 12V lead acid batteries, like a lead acid or AGM system can? Excellent video. Thanks!

These batteries are designed for 12volt charging systems in the bike, they charge great on the stator and can be jumped with standard lead acid batteries, I’ve never used an rc lipo charger in these batteries and use a smart lithium charger designed for this voltage

Back in the day I was a member of the Jackson Flyers RC club. We had a great place to fly on Fort Jackson SC. We did not have electric planes then. I did enjoy flying. How long can you keep an electric plane in the air? Today, I am a drone pilot and loving the fun of flying again.

@@jerryhubbard4461 , Rule of thumb, electrics have a flight time between between 5 - 10 minutes. Very lightly wing-loaded planes can often stay up for 15 minutes. EDFs, on the other hand, often have an up time of 3.5 minutes. I'm a warbird guy. That's what I like to fly.

I would suggest a larger lithium battery to keep from destroying your stator

I lived in PA, installed a lithium battery in my Suzuki GSXR, and had no issues with cold weather as they claim. 3 years in the bike, rode late into winter before it snowed with zero problems. Treat it like a standard battery and keep it on a charger when not in use or disconnect the negative, and it holds up.

They do not have a battery management system

So I live in Boston mass I have a 2003 road king with the stinger hd battery it awsome for my stereo I'm running 2 audison forza 1200s and 12 hertz speakers it's great but....I keep my bike inside my shed over the winter on a trickle charger but once the temps go below 35 dgs my bike will not crank over even if the trickle charger is saying battery's fully charged it will not turn over but 2 days later its 45dgs she starts right up....

If a battery gets very cold it will need to warm up before starting, agm can actually freeze and this is very bad on batteries

How do you add quick connectors to the lithium Li1208 system. I want to use it as a tender the times I'm away from home and not riding.

I transfer the end from the HD tender so we can use the factory lead, or you can purchase additional connectors and add it to the lithium tender

I purchased the Braille' battery made in Sarasota Florida. My bike is a 22 SG ST and the bikes new wiring system has charging pigtail going into the wiring harness. Not to the battery terminals like the older bikes, battery tender has alligator clips which are not very convenient. So how do you connect the charger/tender to it?? Which is the negative/positive sides of the harness that came on the bike? Thanks

Thanks Jay..... Just called your office to order the LI-PSX30Q but you where out the office however Ms. Samantha was able to square me away.... I have a question though I also ordered the Charger LI1208 does this charger come with the battery quick connect or is this a separate item. My order was just put in about 10 minutes ago 05/24/2022 @4:23 pm if it does not come with it can you contact me on the cost to get this added with my order so it can ship out together. On the other hand I have the Battery Tender quick connect already on my bike does the lithium utilize the same type of connection ?

I normally take the end off the original tender and change it to the new charger so the factory connector is used, it comes with clamps

Im running to 6.5 cidicas and to 6x9 cidicads . 2000 watts total. Then running 2 10" midbass 10" in the bags sealed. 1600 watts total. Whats the best battery for my bike. Its a 2021 street glide special. Thanks

I actually bought this battery . I rarely play my system without the bike running. I've had the battery barely over a year. It's been giving me alot of issues. Considering I didn't ride my bike from November to April. So usage was was less. I've taken the bike to the dealership. They changed out the regulator. It didn't change the issue I'm having. The amp will go into safe mode . When I actually start the bike. It's at 14v. When I crank it over. It actually goes down to 12 volts. Has a hard time starting. Then it immediately shoots up to 14v

I had two bad experiences with two different lithium batteries. Both expanded(the cases swelled) and left me walking. Went back to agm

So with me living in Northeast Ohio, you wouldn’t recommend the lithium battery even though I wouldn’t start it in weather under 32 degrees, you still wouldn’t recommend a lithium battery?

I'm right outside Chicago and had no problems with my lithium battery but I don't have any of the batteries mentioned here. I chose to to go with one from a different company that offered a way better warranty.

I would recommend keeping it on a lithium tender during the cold months and I assume you keep it inside when not riding? Lithium still works in the cold if you let it warm up by leaving the key on for awhile before cranking

The average age of a Harley battery at replacement is 3 years, and the stock battery has about 300 cca when tested. Many have upgraded their engine and the battery is not sufficient to crank the engine quickly or they have an upgraded audio system and want to play more than 2-3 songs before the engine will not crank. We have batteries with more than 10 times the reserve power and more than 5 times the cranking amps. Plus the titan8 batteries can last well over 20 years

I am not one of the loud annoying radio blasters that want everyone to hear the crap they are playing. I have a 2021 HD Tri Glide and still have the OEM battery. I know that the computer in the bike is smarter than most of us think. It even knows when you change the spark plug wires and most times if not the right one will make the engine run rough. I know the Lithium battery does not weigh near as much as the led battery. But, I will keep my HD all HD from the begging use the OEM battery. If my dealer quarantees the Lithium battery will not harm my trike ,I man give it a try.

The stock battery is very weak with far too few cranking amps, these batteries really help your starter turn the motor over with ease once you get a stronger, high cranking amp battery.

I love lithium batteries when you purchase a quality battery like the XS power titan8, they will need to warm up when in low temps, you can turn the ignition switch on and wait 30 seconds, this will wake the battery and allow it to start your bike. No battery of any type likes freezing temps

So i wrote a comment that my stinger hd battery was good for running my amps bit once it gets to 45 to 50 dgs it will not start so its feb 2024 now i decide to go outside and start the bike the trickle charger says 100 % and its on stanby maintenance i start the bike nothing barely turns over so i find the original battery that was in the bike when i bought it its ben sitting on the floor in my shed for 4 yrs drop it in the bike starts right up i understand the stingers dont like cold temps bit come on stinger....its 56 dgs here in boston and the batterys dead its the 4th one ive bought that has done this to me so in my opinion im all done with stinger batterys im surprised with this brand that these batterys are this bad and like i said its my 4th one

I think you have a bad or incorrect charger, the stingers are agm and need an agm tender

I thought HD rider was riding their bike mostly because of the engine sound ...why spend loads of $ for a sound system on these bikes ??? Or maybe I got something wrong in the equation.

It’s hard to put hundreds of thousands of people in the same box, some do ride just to hear the wind and engine and many many others love a great sound system playing their favorite music that transports them back to a past time in life! Music for many people is a release like listening to the engine! Getting away from the normal busy hectic life and doing what they enjoy!

Lithium ah ratings do not match agm ah ratings! A 45ah lithium battery at times can equal up to 4 100ah agm batterys

I was disappointed in this video. I understand that you're an audio company, but most of the video was talking about what batteries work with your audio system. This would be fine if the title of this video was what batteries work with our audio system, but the title had me believing the video is a review of the best battery for your Harley-Davidson motorcycle. In addition, contrary to what was said in your video, your prices are the same as H-D's for an Agm battery, and twice the cost compared to H-D's for a lithium battery

We have many lithium options, the titan8 lithium battery is much more than the Harley branded lithium battery but the one from Harley is very weak with less reserve power and equivalent cranking amps to the stock battery. The titan8 series is a substantial upgrade over stock with 2-4 times the cranking amps and 4-8 times the reserve capacity depending on model chosen. Plus the expected life of a titan8 battery is over 6 times longer than the batteries sold by HD

@volunteeraudio I agree that your battery is better, and a higher price is warranted. However, the battery shown in the video was described as less expensive compared to Harley-Davidson's, which isn't the case. That is why I made the comment.

So some constructive feedback: i found ur video which should explain difference between lithium and agm battery for a harley. Instead, i pretty much skipped most of the video, because u continuously talk about audio systems on bikes. None, 0, of my friends have audio on their motorcycles (though thats my circle). So ur loosing about 50% of audience (including those sport bike crowds) because ur talking about audio.
