You need to educate the common persons not to throw wet wipes, oil, food scraps ,toys, metal , wood and cement into the drainage pipes. Any of them will cause blockage to the pipes. Thanks for the good work 😃

I have done several years of plumbing myself in South Africa and I am so glad that it's not only in South Africa where we get poor quality builders and plumbers who do crap jobs installing pipes. So often when we unblocked drains there were places where, along with this guy, I would feel like "This whole building is useless, what's the point?"

Reminds me of my time as plumbing apprentice. Kitchen sink on the ground floor wasn't draining properly, so i went into the cellar and pretty quickly found the issue. There was a 4m (13') long 75mm (3") pipe hanging from the ceiling with exactly TWO pipe clamps about 30cm (1') from each end. Measuring with a string as guidance it presented a sag of more than 40cm (1 1/3'). The grease plug that came out of it stank like hell, worse than rotting meat and pig shit combined and was longer than my body (I'm 180cm/5'9").

Sounds like the average day to me, I work as a cleaner/janitor, and I must say, public space toilets, are the literal worst smelling thing on the planet. Drugs, needles, blood, fats, paper, plastic, glass and a lot more have been found in the pipes, there. Not to mention how many times I've had to sanitize the living shit out of the place. I once had to open up every door in the place during -20C winter just to make sure that the air inside the toilet could dissipate, because that stench was so foul, I had to suit up to even be able to breathe in there, the walls were brown, needles everywhere, toilet clogged, sink clogged, it was hell. Waste bin had been lit on fire, yup, thank the heavens it was a Sunday, but sometimes I wish I had a different job. Really makes most days seem pleasant when you have that fun stuff to do... Oh and I once had to clean a double floor escalator from blood, that took a couple of hours, that day I worked for over 12 hours. But Society would not work without us who can do these dirty jobs, so there's some pride in that at least. But the stench sometimes could drop people.

@@livedandletdie That's why I kinda jealously admire people who can put up with that amount of literal crap. I certainly cannot and strictly stick to (private) heating and ventilation jobs nowadays while earning my living as a truck driver. The Asthma I developed from constantly breathing stone wool dust played its role as well....
